Subway's OMD no pun intentend

Hello to real Subway lovers,
Hey I know I'm always trying to come up with great stories that will hopefully keep you laughing as your eating whatever sub or salad that your munching on from your local Subway restaurant which everyone who not a fan of their food don't you know it's made to your specifications and not already per made for you like every other restaurant is required to do when making what you want from their menu. Sadly I have some very gutting news regarding a plan the company has had forever or nearly so as long as I've been a patron there what is it your wondering ? Well their points cards that you have that you get a point for every dollar spent is truly going bye bye, as of September 1,2012 you will only be able to redeem your allotted points through the end of November of this year. The very last day you can get any points collect is sadly the end of tomorrow when all Subways are closed. I'm not sure as to why they are ending the program other than that instead of tracking the points that we got, which they did till 2002 with stamps back then they have had a third party handle the system when they restarted in 2004 with the point awards. I only know that a few months back that third company was saying you can only have up to a certain amount of money on each card then you'd have to start a new card to earn more. Although it didn't work for Subway as they wanted it to I very glad that unlike Marvel comics forcing us Spider-Man fans that because he's married children can't or shouldn't relate to him this has been because of the sad forced on story known as OMD which stands for One More Day. As I said before Subway restaurants are at least being respectable to all by letting their loyal patrons know of this for several weeks of the whole of this month. I'm just sorry that I didn't get this out sooner if you the reader of this never knew of this plan for such short notice on my part, so I suggest getting all of your past point cards together on one card if that's easier to remember but also remind yourself that at the end of tomorrow night you can't add more to your subway card.

A really different look on Spidey first appearace

So If Stan Lee is so proud of Peter Parker and his high flying alter ego , why did he have a different illustrator do that Iconic cover piece of Amazing Fantasy #15 besides the main story illustrator named Ditko? This maybe not an answer to that?.... but still it's a fun little reading point for web head fans I know this to be true!

Here's just another AMAZING little bit of the man known as Peter Parker who is the red and blue spandex comic character better known as Spider-Man. Just what is this very "AMAZING thing" that is so reverent to a ordinal guy who can't as far as I see it keep any of his fans happy because that can be found throughout the history part of the blog, in case you're wanting to know my stickiness of the many wrongs done. Let's go way back to Peter's very first story as a teenager who gets a very special reminder of why any hero is needed .Which we all know that one day at Midtown high school because no one will talk to him he goes to a science demonstration on the use of radioactivity particles, when unbeknownst to anyone in the room that a arachnid has spun it's thread of webbing way to close to the particle accelerator and is caught in the transfusion process which gives the little creature the ability transfer it's life essence to the living body it would bite. We as fans of Spidey know what happen next in that six page tale dated August 1962 in this seen here. What I wanna know is sure there are many iconic comic book covers that have featured much the same level hero standing as Spidey and some not so great ones either, yet I will bet you weather famous or not even those one time heroes had something about them that stands out. For example here is a copy

of the very first Super-Man cover from over seventy four years and then you leap or swing ahead about depending on the type of super power you have here's Todd McFarlane's eight issue from the title that shot him into stardom. Now with this being about the first appearance of ol web head before his own title I want you all to know I tired suggesting as a idea to the Spider-Man website known as Crawl Space late into the wee hours of this morning as to if they decide to do it I just don't know, still it is a cool little thought of celebrating the ol wall crawler's fifty years in the actual month of when Amazing Fantasy # 15 was dated! Here are just a few spoofs , , , , ,that I found besides the ones you've also seen here already. Here are just a couple of them right now , , it is rather weird to be talking about Amazing Fantasy#15 when you think of those copies from so long ago in a whole new form what do I mean by that well take a gander at these two LEGO made , , ones, pretty cool huh? Speaking of the ol new Black suit here was the first cover ,the web head had when he and all the heroes who were whisked away by the character known as the Beyonder for his test of "Secret Wars". There was a really rare one made of Ben Reliy when he was the Scarlet Spider during the nineteen nineties "Clone Saga" story line that never saw the dawn of day. Just recently as you can see in the Mary Jane question to the right here it looks as if McFarlane is taking a crack at spoofing the all time great Jack Kirby cover with his character known as Spawn , I just wonder what the text will be for the dialogue balloons when it see print? And still I just can't see why Stan Lee didn't see a real hook with the story artist Steve Ditko take which is jaw dropping as well ,or maybe it's just me I don't know? Oh and yes before you ask some given day not sure when Action Comics #1 parodies will be coming count on it!

What's so cool about this mistake other than the obivous?

Without a doubt I know most anyone will love this little AMAZING Golden Boy trivia and not just because it's just another bit of forgotten Spidey movie advertisement either,
It was just on Tuesday of this week that I had happen to notice this cool display
at work by the entrance of the store by where we keep the ice and the carts. Would you if I told you there was a mistake of HUGE proportions on the Amazing Spider-Man labeled Cheez-it boxes believe it or not? Well there is at least other than as seen here
the new updated Spidey suit from the new movie and tell you it had me a Spider-fan for life in tears..... Okay lets take a lot closer look at not only the display close up but also the back of one of those very boxes as well

, here you may see that there is a game for the kid whose snacking on these cheese crackers there is a scamblegram word game much like the old hangma
n game kids play in a set of puzzle books on word games that even we sell at Albertsons. Here the game is called a RiddleGram boy this sounds like something the Bat -Man foe with the name of theRiddler would pull just trust okay? So here is a close up of the Riddles , yet I will write them out so you won't drive yourselves bonkers: before the puzzle starts in Black it says Help Spider-Man solve the riddle by filling in the blanks and decoding the secret message below
1. He's known as the Web ? it gives numbers for each blank but no where, does it give you how each number relates to a certain letter. The first has these as spaced numbers that is how your to know relate to the answer 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. So how are you to know the word is suppose to be slinger and here is riddlegram #2 of this amazing Spider-Man game that is really messed up With great 8,9,10,6,7 comes great responsibility, even your not a fan of the character you know the answer is power. The third riddlegram is this Another of his nicknames is 1,8,3,11,6,12 and to make this one easy it's Spidey, yet right under the three riddlegrams in red bubble a with white writing is the greatest mistake of all? use the letters from your answers above to decode the secret message , well really it's in the answer to be honest. Here is the secret message How did Peter Parker notice Mary Jane? He 1,8,3,6,11 her! Now if you haven't guessed it the mistake without a doubt is Mary Jane who isn't even the female lead in the movie, it's Gwen Stacy OOPS? who at Marvel or is it the folks at the company known as Sunshine who make Cheez-it whom hadn't seen the movie yet think it was to be Mary Jane in this film, for they the writer of the game went with what they knew of Spider-Man history because these were to be out before the new movie's release and as I said the person went with what they only knew. Yet all in all it's still a great inside joke of "THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN movie" that can't be corrected and that is why it is so laughably funny. Oh and I do have to say there is one more thing about this very posting that cool what is that your asking huh?, well I'm a number record guy as you know of and this one's #1000.

Alberterson's rival game to Mickey Dee year two

Hello everyone who is a player of games,
It was really close to this same given time around last year that I was talking about a game that was introduced at the time of when I went with my nieces Petra & Bethany (Paige) Mickleson to visit with their Mimi & Poppi where they now choose to live in a part of  South America in Cuenca Ecuador. The game that my work place of Albertson's had started back in two thousand and eleven or would it be really twenty eleven, I will let you decide how YOU WISH TO DI PIC the way YOU interrupt the numerals that make up the year, in May a game much like the classic food game at Mc Donlands restaurants that the run in the summer time as much as I can recall (?)  but, as far as I know so far they haven't played it yet for this year yet either or if they have I wouldn't know is all that I'm getting at! The game that I remembering being  played at McDonlands has been around for close to at least forever or at least I know I'd love to think so, but the one thing I do know is I may not know right off the top my head how long the game has existed as a Mc Donlands staple at least ever since I was little is the best and truest answer I can whole heartily give. Now I know it might have sounded like I was wording myself into a corner there with those last two sentences but I promise not really at all did I plan for that, I was trying to come up with a way to bring in a game board

that looks like this . The classic game called MONOPOLY

Which goes as far back as the early twentieth century, it is published by the game making company known as "PARKER BROTHERS"and is put out through the toy company who back in the mid nineteen eighties with those "Robots in Disguise" that I happen to bring up here quite a lot known as the

TRANSFORMERS .    Be referred to as Hasbro Toys, but to get back to Albertson's take on on that game was started like it was last year on May 16,2012 and as you all know I was once again away at that time on a whole other type of vacation no less and last year I only won stuff like free donuts if even that....still this year through I did win at least twenty bucks so that's something huh at least a wee bit more than donuts alone. It took me a little while to get a copy of both game boards that you see here
and as to what the game will have in it come next year well as they say we will have to wait and see won't we? So I'm hoping to NOT be away at the start or end of the game but really be gone in it's middle on my vacation of course with my love of my work I wish I could have everyday be a relaxing day and you wanna know something to me in truth it really is.......

I finaly found a long forgoten toy puzzle

Boy I sure hope that these two Iconic toon characters and their ultimate foes try not to go the way of puzzle pieces after reading this if that they were REAL at all.....

H
ello to all,
So I know every one will be asking what's with that puzzle look on your face when they see you moving your fingers back and forth as you go about telling them of the fun you had today when you read this blog. I 'm sure your friends will ask you "so did he do anything cool with his yammering on in the post as he always does before or during getting to his main tale?" You can say it was just a bunch of random pictures he was tossing out with now hint as to why he was letting us view them of his time as a kid but I'm just don't get his obsession with just one jigsaw puzzle of a rad nineteen eighties toy line that he just loves more than life itself. Okay enough with the way over sappy love letter intro here but I just wasn't wanting to be another forgotten look at piece as a entry on this blog the words are saying to me as I think them up to put down here: I was looking on Sunday for images of the character of Teela from the old toy line known as HE-MAN and the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and/or anything just all out weird with any of the characters but mostly Teela and I found some really far out stuff like these A Joker of Prince Adam besides his real clowning around just image something like this

I also found even stranger on
es like how about Skeletor with Whine the Poo and friends , then of course there classics from the HE-MAN scans of the toy line itself where an mentor of ol bone head is seen over Teela as HE-MAN comes to her recuse. Now please don't me you never thought of seeing a female take on Skeletor because if not here's your chance and don't forget those fans of classic toyline on the net love to throw in a scare or two
of their heroes as monsters, mainly Zombies for some off the wall reason....... In truth though I did find something really very cool in those Teela image searching that did bring back great times with me and my grand dad we loved putting puzzles together
at some given time of when we visit one another. Well the one toy puzzle image that I found was this one

and I remember it was the summer of 84 and while at the sears in the Peachtree mall he and I found that as a five hundred piece puzzle and after I had all together he place it under some foam board that he went and after lining it all up he used construction duck tape to hold the puzzle to it and to top it all off he had made a cherry wood frame for it. The only we forgot to put with was some kinda glass cover to it because at some point a piece fell out near the Battle Ram's wheel and the rock that Skeletor's battling ol muscle boy on!

Does this tease mean anything more than just plain ol fun?

Hey there all who love a little craziness no matter it's form
It was really earlier this very morning that I decided to have a strange bit of fun with yours truly that I'm calling it "Having a great bit of ultimate wackiness on the greatest NERD HUNTER MISSION QUEST EVER, earlier this very morning, Huh?, what the that Sam heck am flapping my words around right now your wonderi
ng? Well, I went and found a awesome way to give away my way of looking at everything and anything in true comic collecting mode at a site that sells rad kind of T-shirts. Yet I also had found a great Star Wars vs Star Trek image to top it all off
,with this whacked out image of the coolest character in the Star Wars universe when Luke Skywalker meets him on a planet known as Dagobha to learn more his Jedi training left open from when Jedi master Ben Kenobi, from in "A NEW HOPE" of the original SW trilogy. Still with all those Borg attachments ol Yoda would say something like this "Fail Emperor Do!, Are NO I Borg more to pleasing eyes Jedi of?-Completed Assimilation is....." Still the actual quote is better than this of around the photo image at the site yet right at the moment I can't recall it just as it is! Off to the right hand corner from the image of that Yoda shirt which was Pink by the way, when I saw this

in small detail and I smiled to myself just a little, I wonder why that would be don't you? But in truth this fits any comic nerd no matter what in a way it's very much like "TALK TO THE HAND" type of rudeness but still stands out as a answer to those who wanna know the wearer's politic oppositions if you wore it on any given election your voting in or would it really matter at all I'm thinking NOT!

The Manhattan Project (pt.1 of 2)

How cool the front page can be at times huh?...

Hello to those who remember and those who don't of a way to end the war known as World War II......
Now I won't lie about this but to me the side of the war that mattered most to me was the battle of April 7,1945 w
here the great and forever remembered battleship Yamato sank at a little after two pm from the operation known as "Ten Go" a last ditch effort to protect
Japanese balance of power north of Okinawa of fuel sources. The reason I like that part of history from world war II is because it is directly omitted from the Anime known as STAR BLAZERS here in America and like I've said in posts related to the Anime back history it would be helpful to know all if it's possible so that mainly young kids can/could ask about the past.
This isn't about the end of the war from the forces
of Germany or Japan at all but from right here at a place called HANDFORD.
Last Saturday when I was grabbing up a hopeful comic quest I saw as I was headed by a corner barbershop back to catch the bus a heading topic on the paper said "coming Monday Richland library host The hi
story of The Manhattan Project" Here is today's

copy of the local paper with what had happen. I only wish I could have gone to it myself is all I can think of learning of the place you live of it's own back story is always important as the here and now
To be Continued ........

Talk about yet another new set of peeprs.......

Hello to all who are blind or at least once were,
AS promised form a birthday tale of a boy named Bryce here is why oh why I've given into getting some new peepers. Now before we go down the forever tale of glass road let me remind you from as far back as a kid to my later teen years
,even beyond all that I had no use for vision correctness. In fact as I said a couple of years ago I only as recent as May of that year while seeing my folks in their new homeland known as Cuenca Ecuador I had found out on the way there that my great sight of X-ray vision (sorry for the pun there, just a bit of my super ego getting a bit of shared space) but I had found out that my sight was in need of over do help. So when I came back from that adventure my mother had ordered two pairs of these frames. I gotta really admit I did feel a bit different in them from then on because of course I hadn't wanted my features to like this smurf known as toss him out the window because "papa Smurf always says..."
Brainy Still after just trying them on after I first got them I didn't feel as scarred as I was thinking I was going to be feeling. I really got use to the glasses over the last two years still things go from bad to worse sometimes and I will admit one pair of the two that my mom got through the internet broke because myself and others just kept bending the frames all the time. So one the things that we did while she was here helping me get organized a few weeks back we had one mission of getting me some new glasses altogether, so we went to Walmart and checkout my eyes and over the course of last two years nothing has changed. So when we ordered them at first they came super quick to the store , only to find out that the left lens wasn't cut right to the fit of the frame. So they sent them back and it took five days to get them back and right as they should have been to start with. They came two days before the Tuesday my mom went back to Cunenca,, still as you can see for my own look and feel of these new peepers as I call them I was a little at first unsure once again of the uneasy emotional impact at trying them on , , but was mostly this time because I was really tired at that same time. Even though I was tired all the same I got into the mode liking them if I could get just "One silly photo" I remember saying to my mom and she could understand that I after a hard day of working in the blazing sun understood where I was coming from even though she was busy trying to get all of last minute stuff done too but here is me overlapping both pairs of peepers , when I wore them that Tuesday mom was leaving all of my coworkers gave me the greatest comment ever? What was it your wondering huh? they all said in someway or other I reminded them of this guy's alter ego , which I think is neat to be a real life Clark Kent in a way but without any hair. Still I am getting use to these as well finally, and now you know of how my new eye wear came to be from this photo
of yesterday.
