Two Star Trek universes coolide for love- say what?

Hello Everybody,
You know what I still can't believe that it has come to  yet another end in the next two hours of time for this very year that was full of many things for me Matt Byrd and I do hope a lot of my dreams of finding a relationship will be brighter than they have been in years past.... I hope that I Mister nice guy, can find a strong bonding friendship with a young woman that is willing to accept me, for for the cool nerd I am. Outside of that "missing part my life of a much needed friendship with a woman" that wants to grow with her friend into learning more about  each other as a drop of fresh rain or a beam of sunlight making one smile a thousand times over it just being a millisecond too late late, for I run far away after just saying a nice or polite greeting to one them that I feel like nothing when one doesn't say a polite thing back to me. So  I decided to fix that in a way for myself with a DVD  that stars two people who are part of something my nerdy heart just won't let go of at all that's right I'm talking Star Trek, of course and these guys played both good guy and bad guy in the last Next Gen movie and The New James T. Kirk in the latest two new reboots of the franchise. In this movie called "This Means War" seen here is my DVD cover

, that I got at the store yesterday has Chis Pine the new Kirk veiling against  the Next Gen foe of Captain Jean Luc Picard in the next generation's final feature film called "Nemesis" Tom Hardy whom was Picard's clone in that film.
In this Spy romance movie called This Means War the two are co workers in the FBI who happens to fall for Lauren Scott who is (Witherspoon) because her sister puts up a profile on a computer dating website. That at first scares Lauren to death because the character is like most women or men in that case are busy with the work in their lives that they  A: Really care more about that work than human contact at all with another human being., B: Wants to run from ever giving themselves a chance with a relationship a try out of fear of losing out because they don't want to grow and be happy. ( Maybe the second one is myself, yet I don't know why?) She then Meets up with Turk (Hardy) at a restaurant for coffee then runs moments later into FDR (Pine) in a video store and she seem to like both of them.
When at Work both FDR and Turk show each other a profile of "the Girl" that they met and of course find out, it is the same girl. They make a set of ground rules between them which of course get pushed the wat side as most plans do between to friends almost always do when love has smitten them both. Lauren has her own set of problems with her ex and use one the guys to be her fill in boyfriend of moment in some point of this.
There is also a bad guy that is played  (Til Schweiger) that the boys are trying to take down and he happens to get the best of both them when he kidnaps Lauren. After she just finds out about the boys knowing each other in their daily work.

It of course is full of surprising bits of fun on the dating scenes and this little gem also has a great surprise for fans of
well my favorite comic book superhero ever Mister Peter Parker of a sort in it as well, which I think is pretty sweet in it's own right. I think for this movie I'd give it a rating of B-.

    Happy New Years to all.

ONE IMPORATANT THING TO GET CAUGHT UP ON......

Hello All,
Look I won't deny it, one single bit I haven't posted in what seems like forever about newspaper comic strips and the main reason why is because the main site where I got them from wishes to be exclusivity the one who pays for your daily doses  of laughter. I can respect that and say in the last two half years of being off and on with my personal thoughts of encouragement I have been very bad to myself? How so you ask right well here it is in a nut shell......

Why I am so Positive in life!

Hello There All,
Okay, I must admit that earlier tonight I was thinking of the phrase "Knowledge is Power" into my tablet with this very image seen

right here. In truth, the main point of this very entry is about How I have always see life as a stepping stone of learning all of the time something new: over the past few weeks on Saturday mornings during men breakfast a video series about a pastor who happens to have the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis which is also know as Lou Gehrig's disease, the pastor's name in the video series is Ed Dobson, who was diagnosed with ALS back in two thousand and two and yes he is still alive. Through the course of the series you the viewer are shown how Ed has made mistakes in his life sine having the disease on a everyday way of looking at life, but the one thing most who would say something about this series after seeing it as their first understanding of knowing the work of God our heavenly father, could say it's just sad from just starting to know about the understanding power of God at a glimpse. Yet for me since I have had my share of times of putting God into a container of some kind just doesn't work for me.    In fact I will be honest, I have only read the bible up until The Book of Amos which is the thirtieth book of the Old Testament that was sometime ago back in two thousand and six......and yes I know I should take the time to read the rest of the old testament and the whole of the NEW TESTAMENT as well and one day I'm sure I will! Still it really reflects on you as a human being by how you are raised throughout your young life for me I can thank both my dad Michael Joe Byrd's Mother Nelle Byrd and my mother Nancy Powers Watson's father Benjamin Powers for showing me the heart of love is in the New Testament part through the life of Jesus and I know I have mentioned Ben in my introduction of thanks in my story that still is taking time to finish known as "Clone of Me". I remember every summer when my mom took us to visit her side of the family I would be more than happy to just go to church when I was a lad in the latter nineteen seventies and early nineteen eighties and see what Sunday School and the main service was like and I would as I got older go to the Wednesday night dinners when I saw my family in Georgia and also there was my step sister Merri Watson who now is known as Merri Mickelson had a lot of help in showing me the richness from the bible as well. I know besides knowing my understanding living life is from understanding all that I have know from the bible is powerful yes I know and yes I will be truthful here as well there are times when I don't wish to think I need God in my life but I know he is always there. I just want to know what your thoughts are when you hear someone utter "Knowledge is Power" do you every think of that very question as a real understanding of the human soul as I describe up above, or is it just a phrase that means nothing to you? For me as I said I accept it as a challenge to not only understand myself better because I do know I am the farthest one to say I know I'm not perfect for I know I have to find understanding in everything and anything I do because know I can always see a way to help those who can't help themselves and I may not always do so by my actions as I know I should, but I DO try to use the right words of expressing hope for those who are broken in life. So I'm always finding ways to grow by being a patient person and always wanting to reflect my inner soul through a positive means for I know I'm just like all of you a piece of the best art there is in life. A work of God in progress....."

To a beloved sister on her "Special day"

Hello All but especially to my sister Merri Mickelson,
Today just so happens to be my sister Merri's birthday and I can say I know that she has been having both a grand time this past year in her life and very woeful times as well. She is the one person that I know best that has been blessed by hearing and waiting on God's love when things are at there most high, weather it is something great like bringing a baby into the world and loving her or him for being able to being young again herself through their eyes or rather their way of living life. Merri is one who knows that through any kind of sad or bad moment in life that the Lord's power of loving grace is always with her even if she doesn't always understand it at that given time she knows to wait for God's time to bring her strength when she doesn't always understand everything life gives her, rather it be a grand bit of the white stuff known as snow or a nice lovely spring day at that time of the year.
I this past May was able to see Merri and her whole family when her dad and my mom took me to go see the monument seen here
or would it be more the place seen with captain Sikso head from the Third television series of Star Trek her late brother Lyle's many favorite science fiction series.
Yet of course I'm talking about Mount Rushmore with the most interesting fathers that help shape our great country from it's very beginnings. At the time that we saw them Merri and her crew they had three birthdays going at once and here is the today's Birthday girl near a cake

which I do hope she did get to have a small something of her own if she wanted one that is? We after the party at that time went to a local swimming pool where all ten of her children could have a blast of fun

\, and boy I know I needed that as well. I can say this about Merri as well, that even though she lost both her mother and her brother Lyle this year she has shown without a doubt her love for those she holds dear by coming home to the  Tri-Cities to say goodbye to her brother Lyle

with his family and friends. In spite of it all of everything that Merri has been through this past year as I said before she always know her love for Christ helps inspires so many others in so many ways that words of all kind just make her life what it is we all need to know about most......which is love is always around us we just have to remember to open our souls to it's whole understanding, especially at this time of the year.
So once again I want to wish my loving sister Merri a very grand Happy Birthday and I hope she knows that she is the best person who is the most human in her brother Matt's eyes this day.

It's my brother's day again....

Hello All,
Boy you know having a family is really important no matter what. An this guy that I have known all of his life and is my brother on top of it all is got not only the best family life that I know of

and I know that they all love him as much as I do. His known identification is that Micheal B Byrd, he like anyone can share that he is just as human as you or I but besides all of the things he has faulted in life as mistakes the one and only one that matters to him today besides it being his birthday is? His family for they will be there to make him cry and laugh when he needs it most of all. With me being his offbeat older brother and even though we are the closet to best buds now I know when we were younger we both along with our sister Kylie got into our fair share of trouble. So dear brother of mine I hope whatever trouble you get into on your birthday that it is fun, which heck, even I know that's all you would have it be rather your playing your latest video game that you love to death, or finding your offbeat oddball older brother Matt loves you as he always does with even for the first time having your day's post in your favorite color, which I've learned that your love of the upcoming movie known as "THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF FIVE ARMIES" will be cool on the week of another sibling birthday known as Merri Mickelson  who also very cool in her own special way.
Happy 40th Birthday from your geeky comic book

      loving brother, Matt Byrd

Oh so many choices for last moth and more...

Hello All,
It is that time of year when I see and have thoughts in the color spectrum of Christmas time text, and focus be on my time of the year of endless aging days for family members and a lot of friends and general customers children from at work as well. In fact if I look at this year compared to the past few December time of years past I think I have almost everyday expect one full of birthdays....so Jesus I guess your put on the back burner as far as important I am just wishing? No we as the whole world should take any day and everyday to be very meaningful that we are given a chance to understand what love really is outside of those three famous words to make everything always better! Whoa, what three words am I talking about right is what your asking yourself? Here they are " I LOVE YOU" what is the meaning of them to you and how you know God is always there for you. Take a moment and really think of how this helps or hinder your understanding of all life.
Today I also got myself an early Christmas gift in sorts for myself from my coworker Jackie. The actual story was while store was raising monies for Thanksgiving  known as "Turkey Bucks", Jackie had asked me in the few weeks before if I wanted a Batman blanket after seeing the  Seattle Seahawks hanging in the lobby across from the check stands. Then a couple days later she told me she had a Marvel Comics one so instead of going with Bats who is seventy five years old this year, I went with of course

the Marvel one as you can see. Yet at the same blasted time I can't see why Marvel Comics are so flipping low in sales of their main product comic books for the last seven years....believe the internet if you want of them still being comparable to Detective Comics in sales, but I know the truth they aren't. Why is whatever wants to know I'm sure you without a doubt know MY OWN PERSONAL REASON as to WHY! I believe what they should done with the line was this instead of Peter Parker making a deal with the devil and changing nothing else as they did do, I think they would have been better off with a branch of the line of sales be sure they could have all of their heroes be single.....and a line in which every hero from the Fantastic Four being always married to even the X-Men being married. With one hitch every hero that is already been established that way will have no one worry about what has been set in stone by Stan Lee the true king of all things Marvel that he co-created and I say this because there are Marvel fans everywhere that like a certain growth to all characters instead of regression of everything....I think I should point out that Detective Comics it goes the same way sure fans love seeing a romance between Superman and Wonder Woman finally but they also love his real love relationship with a certain reporter known as Lane.
Now I do have to admit, I was very hard press for a long time of what to choice between for my plate here on the site and I was originally was going to go with this

as the plate because of my love for Spidey no matter what? , And this

for my desktop image for the month of November....... but as I said up above it is the billionaire playboy known as Mister Wayne under his cape and cowl main year of celebration so just to keep myself in check for the next two months well five more weeks away I went with this as my plate

for here at the playing field of ideas.  Then finally I felt that hey the villains don't get a good deal of spotlight much and when I was searching out a image for my desktop I found this

, which someone of Batman fame decided to mimic the feel of the Saturday Evening post prints that Norman Rockwell did in the New York newspapers. I at least I hope I got that right? and if not no big deal to me, other than if I'm wrong would one of you my many readers correct me, please and thank you.

Why being Thankful today is so meaningful

Hello all,
Thanksgiving is without a doubt the most underrated holiday there is, wouldn't you all agree? I am not here to ask you to provide an easy answer for that very question for even I may have an answer that means as much to me as yours would mean to you, but truly in the end of it all what matters most is family. No matter the amount of distance in the way of miles that separate us from our families we should still reach out to make today memorable with them because as time goes on we never will truly know if we can see our love ones....by this I mean no matter how much you love your family member weather they are related by blood of faith I know that every second of life matters......So as you all gather round for why your so Thankful for what you have been through this whole year please also be kind in remembering those who are poor as well! For even if you have nothing at all even a bit of turkey today, the most important thing is that by giving of yourself or ourselves, we can see how much we as humanity can have our eyes open to "WHY WE ALL MUST BE GIVING OF EVERYTHING WE HAVE IN ANYWAY POSSIBLE........" If we help at a place like the RED CROSS we are making sure that those who do donate their blood have it screened for the one who needs it right away. Or we can just invite a good friend that we know is without family or is lonely to a place where they can feel very much loved and needed for even a friend's life may be more interesting than your own. I guess what my main point of understanding what Thanksgiving is all about is that no one is ever really alone in the adventure known as life. Who knows you may even make a new friend if you are the type that keeps to themselves most of the time, just always have a open heart for those finding the meaning of sharing and caring outside of themselves!

Boy all I know is I too would be "INCREDIBLE TODAY TOO"

Hello to All,
I can't believe how INCREDIBLY RAGING STUPID I one of the greatest fans of the Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno Hulk era is? Which ran from after two tv movies in the month of November of 1977 into a series from March of nineteen seventy eight till June of nineteen eighty two, of course called The INCREDIBLE Hulk. It so happens to turn out that even though sweet Bix is no longer with us the man who donned the green grease paint Lou happens to be a "Don't Make Me Angry, Mister Mcgee, you wouldn't like it when I'm aging in

front of you would you!", age of sixty three years strong. Even after the series was cancelled Lou never gave in and just quit lifting weights, he went on to play another muscle man or hero I guess you can call the god of most movies out now Hercules. He was born with a hearing problem but still he didn't let it set him back, in fact the Hulk was his comic of choice when he was growing up in the nineteen sixties. So you could say Lou is forever connected to ol green skin no matter what for in the later eighties he reprise the role three times. He is so awesome in fact because he doesn't let fans down he appears at comic cons every chance he can! Oh and if I forget to say this as well I know that I'm really INCREDIBLY RAGING STUPID I'm going to honor Lou with a mini matron of HULK OUT RAGE just to remember a time I could have no cares in the world at all........

Happy Birthday to the man who was the creature best,
    Yours ,Matt Byrd
(whom you wrote "To Pat," on a black and white still of yourself as the Hulk back in 2000 at a card show my two friends Jeff Lasstier  and Steve Brehm were at in Chicago)

The real power of a Smile

Hello All,
You the one thing that truly pulled me through my roughest day ever which was just a couple of days ago when my father Micheal Joe Byrd had past away exactly four years ago on the day known as November 4th 2010. Yet the one thing most that has helped me a lot of late is the one part of what makes us humans the most connectable of relating to others, it would surly have to be images of this very nature seen here:

a smile. I had gotten to thinking of the best way to lift myself up and came to the conclusion as a result, but since I'm a deep thinker a lot of the time I was figuring out "How it is that a smile is any humans greatest gift of life?"  I am by no means saying you are limited to these answers only but you may find it easier to see the answer in someway even if not by my reasoning, something that works for you, I'm sure........

A smile  helps us in more ways than we all know of  having not only  a better chance at pretty nice pictures of ourselves or families that we respect, they also have a wonderful way of getting to  not only bring out a feeling of glee or happiness, they always say A Smile can boost your chance at getting employment which I know to be true for sure I just remember I always felt overjoyed when I turned in an application to all of my workplaces, and even didn't I still did on the inside and I felt a sense of comfort just knowing I had gotten something wroth  wild to bring yet another one the next day. Another thing that a beam of your teeth being shown helps with in life is relationships with the one you want to spend your life with, a smile definitely does more than just these two things. It helps empowers a conversation of any subject to where all involved can know you can have your said voice heard better than if you always have a frown on your face.

I do know that not everyone will agree with these as the only reasons to smile and heck even I will say your entitled to how you want to lift up yourself any given day of the week, but as I come to a close with this one I also still find myself just wanting to once again smile, for I got out another entry of needed sharing and it makes me be put back into once again thought mode of what comes next with all who see this can't wait to see what's next either?

November 04, 2014

I still can't believe that it's been four years ago......

Hello All,
Well I thought I would never even myself say this, but I'm really been weeping on the inside a lot. Lately as you know I have had the lost of two very important people in my life via the cycle known as death, but today itself hits me Matt like a sledge hammer because it was on this date four years ago that I lost one very neat persons I ever knew it was my dad Micheal Joe Byrd and I can still remember I was standing in my kitchen looking at my own little photo album that I had from when I graduated from my high school of Hanford High school and was just staring so intensely at this very image

of my father knowing he was at Kadlac hospital getting ready to be moved to a Hopsice  place in Yakima, Washington to wait out his remaining few days of life after having the Parkinson disease since the early part of two thousand and two, so he was already in pain no matter what because of it and as I was thinking of him I could feel myself tearing up while looking at that thinking endless what ifs. It was a little after eight and my mom was on the other end of the phone and she told me what my sister had told her of his easy passing into God's open grace. Now to be totally honest my dad was not a strong believer in knowing God at all, yet as I sit here listening to the song by Belinda Carlisle known simply as "Heaven is a place on earth" on a rare compact disc album of hers that I have, reminds me of the part of life that my dad loved as much as he did love his time of being born on earth, that one thing can be summed up right here
he was a true sportsman. If he wasn't out hunting ducks he was out fishing somewhere till he had the qinch for understanding life's challenging goal was won by catching the prize of wildlife. My dad was very much a man who loved life by his work as well, not to say he loved only that part of being here on earth he had three wonderful kids who may not of understood him all the time because of him loving just what he thought was important, we three offspring of Micheal Joe Byrd Matt, Micheal, and Kylie all had our moments that were both good and bad at times. Yet we all knew he loved us even when it was hard pressed for our dad to say the words that any kid wants to know from the heart of all parents, that of course being  "I Love You" and even though the man I knew as Dad is not psychical here to ask the questions of meaningfulness that matter about his own looks on life, I know he is a part of my here and now by being in my dreams at times still showing the way to the meaning of life in his spiritual way and at the end of every November fourth since that time four years ago are best remembered with words and thoughts of forgotten love that helps remember every life is lived for a given propose to be loved no matter what way he or she leaves......it's about understanding you mattered most to me dad when even you didn't know the words to say you reached out in your meaningful ways.......
your still in my heart being loved, Matt Byrd your son

Thinking about "Trek reading yet again"

Hello All,
Well with it being the start of the month you know where this will lead into as a result, but before I get us there I try to find a little something worth sharing about that's super sweet, so here we go .Not all that long ago I had went with my brother in Christ Jeremy Johnson to go to the local comic book shop known as Adventures Underground and I'd shared of a bit about going to Hastings before going there and  I showed you what books there at Hastings I got that are Star Trek related both being ST:Next Generation ones titled Dark Mirror and Crossover. Yet when Jeremy and I went there this morning to find out if Adventures had more on a new comic book series known as The Six Million Dollar Man season six, from Dynamite Press. Here are the first

and last issues

of the arc, that took fans of Steve Austin a astronaut built adventures of the mid nineteen seventies into new heighten sight. If you know the series you known what I mean by the intended pun. Still before we went there as I was saying before we went headed to Hastings before they opened, and there at Hastings I picked up the Star Trek novel seen here on the right

,  known as "THESE HAUNTED SEAS" and yes I do admit I still have to read the Star Trek Deep Space Nine Tomb called "TWIST OF FATE" and after I finish the first book of the Alien series by Ms Gini Koch. An yes that will still be a series broken into three parts per book within that own series as I mentioned in a certain past entry.

Now on to the true treats from last month of candy glory from yet which was just last night of course? Here is the grand scary shock fest that was here

as the plate of the site.A Black cat so fearful of being in a truly frightening pumpkin. As to what I had hauntingly gracing my desktop each day of October was this ghostly kid

, with his loot of goodies........ before I leave you I wanna say I have yet to name this two fine photos any help you could toss into the comment selection would be granted with a great thank you from my way over worded blogger lips of words and thoughts.

A cool Blue Halloween for sure

So with it being the night that all people or at least most that will always profess to having a heart of a child are most likely going be something other than their everyday self and heck why not? This year  I had plans to being something really neat, but because of my step brother Lyle's passing last month I felt that this year I owed him a very nice tribute. Hence the title of this very entry gives away a small clue in a way.........

I know this to be.....

Hello Spider-Man Fans,
Are you a for lack of a better word if you are a fan of the Spider-Man Marriage being deceived by his publishing owners called Marvel Comics especially with this tease image shown here that popped up

as you can see from Entertainment Weekly magazine, website.  I for myself will say this since I have NOT  picked up a Spider-Man book and REALLY WANTED TO NEED TO READ IT, WITH MY FULL HEART FOR CONTENT, since the event that broke marvel comics as a whole for me was this sad driven event eight years ago? to me it seems like more than that and maybe it always will be! The so called story that BROKE MANY FANS HEARTS IS THIS RIGHT HERE:

known best as the ultimate worst Spider-Man story ever "ONE MORE DAY".  I think everyone who knows me Matt Byrd personally KNOWS THAT FROM THAT SAID FOUR PART STORY, THAT I HAVE A GREAT DISLIKE OF MARVEL'S DIRECTION, IN HOW EVERY "FLIPPING" THING  IS/FROCED TO BE LIKED or LOVED. IT'S MORE LIKE THIS, SINCE "ONE MORE DAY" was published over seven forgotten years ago, to make the editor in chief happy for he couldn't see that true fans of Peter Parker's life did enjoy the past of the character's history for over twenty two and a half years known as the marriage of Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker.

Which was written way back in "The AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Annual #21 in the year of nineteen eighty seven. Marvel the company for the first few years did keep everything comfortable for the fans sake through back at the time four ongoing titles and one shots. Then in nineteen ninety four it was time for a change or so some people within Marvel's infrastructure wanted Peter Parker to be single a care free superhero like he was from his beginnings in the sixties, but oh how to do it was the problem? or was it? The writers summit of in nineteen ninety three for the upcoming year had decided Peter Parker had just had an anniversary of saving his friend Curt Connors who had tried to harm his own son Billy Connors to yet again try to cruse all of humanity with his son being the first subject. In the end of the issue Peter and Mary Jane go to visit aunt May who has a strange pair of guests visiting her, it turns out they are his long dead parents: Richard Parker and Mary Parker. The rest of  what were Peter Parker's parents went on with it being revealed they were robots sent to kill Parker from his long dead friend Harry Osborn the son of the original Green Goblin had created them to kill Peter himself. Which lead into the beginning of the clone saga for at the time Peter was losing himself  altogether as Spider-Man while aunt May was suffering from him being to busy as Spider-Man, while getting a call from a mystery man whom went and turn out to be Peter's clone that we had last seen in the Amazing Spider-Man # 151, when Peter after being reassured by Curt Connors that he was the REAL DEAL of being Spidey, Spidey himself dropped the clone down a smoke stack. The man who has been calling himself Ben Reliy for sometime came back to do Peter's job of being there for aunt May via as the Mystery Man mentioned above. It was halfway through the story in nineteen five that Marvel filed for chapter 11 because of bad accumulations business wise that they didn't for about four years time altogether, yet they continued to put out their line of comics no matter what! The Clone Saga ended with it being the True Green Goblin Norman Osborn was really never dead from back when he had killed Peter's love Gwen Stacy in the summer of nineteen seventy three.

With the failure of the clone saga not really working to make Peter single again Marvel for the next few years kept trying to keep him and Mary Jane separated, or have Mary Jane be gone by "a horrible means", just anything at all to make the editors happy. When they did pull open their Pandora's box to have it happen with "OMD" tons of comic fans left marvel because of what they did with they company's most iconic mascot they made him into a villain by him of course making a deal with Marvel version of the devil to once again save aunt May's life. The cost was his and Mary Jane's happiness, their marriage! Now seven years later they want us to believe them when they say it's a mistake on our part for what one editor wanted most of all no happiness for either character of Peter and Mary Jane with him still part of the company and you already know whom I'm talking about.... An with me already knowing that marvel isn't truly ready to admit what they have done was a cruse to the company as well as the character of Peter Parker I say to loyal true Spider-Man fans when this comes out next summer know this it is a trick no matter what we really want as a true treat, so please support marvel in other ways if you must but I say let Spider-Fans continued to hold out for new management as a whole!

For you mother of mine

Hello All,
Well today just isn't any other day to be missed no matter if your last name happens to be Byrd, Mickleson, Henderickson or just good ol plain Watson. Here is a set of family from all of the ones named just a moment ago that do know that someone in some of these

is having a wonderful day today. The birthday girl, is none other than Nancy Powers Watson or as she is known to the next generation as Mimi, which is grandma for those lost on names of great grandparents no matter what! She lives in Cuenca, Ecuador with her best friend and love Chuck Watson, whom have been married since June nineteen eighty five. Lately I would like to think that my mom besides being a grand world traveler knows that every moment of life is better than age of any number you put onto or under your belt of the something called life. I will admit that anyone who has a mom or female elder I guess if she's not related by the fluid called blood ANY AND ALL should respect that woman as the best key person in your life. For they may not always understand where you are in your walk in life is at certain times, but I do know this she loves you even when the words aren't there to be said and that is what every mom or sister wants to know most importantly about their impact on their offspring's time on God's Green earth.
   Happy Birthday, Mom
Love you even if these words alone can't express it enough, your son Matt Byrd

Good bye to a Saturday morning brother

Hello All,
Look I know that I Matt Byrd do share a lot of interesting stories here on my little nitch of the wondrous part of the world wide web known as Day life of the Matt, and as I'm listening to "All about love", album by Steven Curtis Chapman will help me feel right of sharing about a brother in Christ. He was a great many things besides being a servant of our heavenly father, he was a father himself, he help with many productions of a Christmas event known as "The Living Nativity", He loved visiting those who were sick or needed to hear a word of hope. He just recently went with his wife to Hawaii, I found out from another brother who was shopping at Albertsons that he had drowned while enjoying a swim. I always knew him as Pastor Dick I never learned his last name, but every Saturday morning for the past four years he was always so cheerful in lighting up your day with his "Hey there or was it Hi....." I'm just so much in tears for his family and his church brothers and sisters I know can't put enough into words of how much we each loved Pastor Dick. I guess what this short journey of life shows us all as the fragility of the meaning of life is a great wonderment no matter what paths we all set for ourselves that make living what we are given whether we have a long amount of years or just moments after being born of having it whisked away We as humans know life must be lived for every second we have. I remember Pastor Dick a couple weeks ago was saying to a DvD series we are studying in Men Breakfast called ED' Story about a person  with A.L.S. on a questionnaire the question was this "How do you plan on spending the time you have left, whether it's one year or fifty" His answer was rather unexpected but made sense, he said

"I have had a good life of helping those who have needed to find encouragement in life and I hope with God's help that I have provided that in some small fashion to help as best I can through my giving of time"
I know that from both my step brother Lyle's passing in September to Pastor Dick of the church known as The Cathedral Joy just a few days ago since I heard this very moving news, I know life at any aspect of how one looks at it means you have to live life for not myself, but for hopefully helping others even if I don't know where it will take me it's the steps of how we learn everyday skills that help us in searching out Jesus Christ, in the biggest way possible?
That being of course helping by encouragingly sharing your love of HIM rather huge or tiny remember this, we are all loved because of how we share our own experiences of hope and failure of how we trust in faith.

So am I PSYCHED for tonight?

Hello All,
So before I go and answer the very question that I pose in the title of this blog entry which I'm sure anyone who is anybody already knows the answer to is? I must say even though he has this very quote to villains everywhere " YOU HAVE FAILED THIS CITY" throughout the series so far he to will admit to having "FAILED HIS CITY" a time or too. I have been binge watching it from the series beginning as I have said before since my step brother's brain injury that ended up taking his life. Of those episodes we learned in season one that he was on a stranded island as he tells his family and friends in the pilot, but come to find out he was given a list of names by his father and instructed to "RIGHT HIS FATHER'S WRONG DOINGS, OF STARLING CITY". We came to see how he took down street thugs and over the line crossing crime bosses throughout the course of season one only to find out that his mother Moria Queen was part of something hinted at. It was revealed that she herself had something to hide besides her knowledge of  what she took part in called "THE UNDERTAKING". The Undertaking resulted in a father killing his only and friend of Oliver Queen the Arrow's true self, and like any hero trying find himself Oliver blames himself for what happen to his friend even through he knows that the friend's father was the real killer, and Oliver killed him for trying to destroy the city. In year two of Arrow we find that a passenger who was with the Queens when the ship blew up is back as a vigilante herself.
Who tired to never let her own family knew she hadn't perished at sea like Ollie was letting his own family do from back in the past year, but at the same time Oliver didn't know she was running around either or from someone. What learn is that both she and Oliver before becoming they are now spent time on that island both trying get back to Starling city, yet when they hear that her family is used as a lure to draw them out into the open Oliver learns where his shipmate was when she went missing after fatal accident on the Queens Gambit the family boat of the Queen family. We also learn some ghosts never stay dead either of who the character Oliver Queen calls  a friend......Who is much like Peter Parker's Norman Osborn if you know what I mean?
There were a lot of unanswered questions at the end of season two like what had happen to the person who Ollie called his sister Thea Queen?, What caused the father of the female vigilante have his body be ripped up as if something was tearing at his insides? and yet most importantly how did Oliver in up in Hon Kong after being saved during the time he was thought dead! Yes I can say that as soon as I got season two in the mail I devoured it just as much as the first season, in fact I was up this past Friday night watching that part of him being in Hon Kong and was left wondering what are the show's writers and directors going do for season three, I guess like all fans of this series I'll be thrilled through out it all just to see what the cliff hanger will be aimed at for sure?

One thing I can let you all know is this ONE of the man behind the foe known as this year's BIG 75 year old comic book character Batman is involved as the key villain on this season of ARROW!

All I know is I have been struck by how Awe striking AWESOME this comic book character has pulled me Matt Byrd into wanting to know him more as a friend if he were a real person and my answer to my posed question is this just hit me with your best shot!

Matt's review of Barry Allen's new series in over two decades......

Well to go and say it isn't the year of comic book proprieties making a splash in other media would be rather off beat or is it more the word that I'm looking for is "FL ASHY" is more in the way of what I'm striking at! Yes if you didn't know better there is just as much super heroes as there is of football and is it a hot iron as a filed goal or a "Hail Mary victory dance" you are darn tooting it is.  With old favorites like "ARROW" returning tomorrow night by the way on the C.W. network to "Marvel's Agents of Shield" which started season two a week ago on the ABC network you wouldn't think of something new like Fox's GOTHAM is anything other than a Batman year one storyline which I'm still considering on getting......

Yet there is one new super hero show that started tonight two hours ago by the name of "THE FLASH" as to how did I enjoy it? and will it be the next big ongoing thing superhero wise look for lighting striking result below the jump do give a bit of a speeding answer to Mister Allen's twist of powered fate, for sure!

Finally for me a Very early McFarlane first....... (1 of 6)

Hello All,
Okay I want you to know that for whatever reason besides having to feel obligated to my brother's love of similar interests in "the way of unanswered conversations" which I have to write out about comics themselves. An the last comic review I had about the comic universe of the Detective Comics was part of a media tied to the video game known as "INJUSTICE". This  review will by chance lead into the start of the forth coming month better known as candy day on the last day of the month. Earlier today my friend Jeremy Johnson and I went to both Hastings and Adventures Underground to see what is new in comics in general, in fact here is what I got from Adventures

at Hastings I got the two Star Trek Next Generation hardcover novels titled "DARK MIRROR", and "CROSSOVER" that were written within a two year span of when the series ended in  nineteen ninety four. I have wanted to read each of  these for a long time, both are part interesting parts on the whole of Star Trek universe. I'm thinking before the end of the year I will have a post of each novel reviewed. Yet as you all see I have old school McFarlane bit of images just to show his other type of works that made him famous from Marvel:

an his own work through IMAGE COMICS, known as SPAWN. This review however is on Todd's work before being super big story arc for a Detective Comics before his work on Batman year two, which I have in storage and will pull up soon as a comic review. INVASION! SECRET NO MORE! was a DC three book event that involved a huge story of Todd's chance to draw the whole Detective Comic universe. Here is
the cover of the trade spread out.
Book one of this event has a race of aliens known as the dominion (not to be confused with Star Trek's DS-9 race of the same name from the end of season two onward....but no less has the same intentions none the less against the planet earth.), have a group of fifty humans standing in a lab of their own design on the far away planet known as dominion world being tested to see if any of them have a genetic anomaly t hat would end up in some way of giving them super powers of any kind?, when the test is complete there is only a human boy left of the forty nine other humans as to what happen to him is unknown that I know of. The dominion send out a call around the universe to all warlike aliens with great promise of the end game of all out ultimate war!
Now as I have said before when I first started collecting comics in the late eighties for me it was just Spider-Man that mattered to me no matter what and even though I had been exposed to the other main comic universe at the time which was D.C. of course through other forms of media it was the world of Peter Parker that kept me coming back month after month. Yet what broke my ties to even caring about Mister Parker's world was a story that doesn't fit for the character at all known as "One More Day" in the end of the year known as 2007. I will admit I have tried to read new Spider-Man stuff but it is MORE FORCED than enjoyed by the fans of the character. Still I can't just give up on my love of the four colored worlds of comics because my main one is being a snooty trapped devil child that can't be himself at all, I have ventured into not only the Detective Comics universe of old more but even independent publishers that are still fairly new to me at least. I would give this first chapter since it is so dark an A- but very much so without a doubt because of Todd's art!

To be continued.......
