Sharing a story about my dad one of many

Hey everyone,
I'd like to share that said story I brought up in my "Goodbye Daddy" entree about tearing up that back bathroom on the Hoxie house. It's a great one I'll tell you that already for sure, it was on a Sunday morning back in nineteen eighty and from what I recall I'd already had my share excitement from running around outside and I needed to go the restroom but I remember my sister Kylie was in the main one so I went to my parents bedroom for that was where the only other bathroom was in the house. I had shut the wooden sliding doo
r and then somehow could not open the door to get out. My folks from how my mom tells me were looking for me everywhere all over the neighborhood and asking my brother and sister where could that rascal little boy named Matt could be, Meanwhile I was desperate to get out of the rest room anyway I could see when I was that young both Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk were my idols but only The Incredible Hulk had a real life show on at the time. Well to say I didn't try to make myself mad and become "Green" like how that David Banner guy did on the show was let's say a bit of a understatement to say in the very least? UH-OH is very right if that is what your thinking?, I had found my inner strength but I didn't at all become "Green" I had torn off the towel bar and beat the holly heck out of the bathroom's walls and that was after I torn up all the rest of what could of the toilet paper in there as well. My mom had gotten sick with worry and called all my friends outside of our neighborhood only to find out that they to had not seen me that Sunday. Finally at about four o'clock pm I heard my mom calling my name by this time I'd fallen asleep on the towels that were now only on the floor since I used the towel bar as a means of escape if I could ever get out of there. Now here is where it is fuzzy to me my dad had to go out to the garage I think and get his power drill and cut through the little metal lock area on the door or he used a coat hanger, but I know in my head it was the latter. When he got me out of there I just remember crying because I was finally able to live my life again till he saw what the wailing I'd given to the walls in there was like. He whipped my butt and then we he and I talked for a good half hour I think?, because I seem to recall that we had to get the reason of my trying to get out of there explained and I remember I said "Daddy I just tired to use my HULK POWERS to get out of there and I'm sorry for it." Then he leaned down we were in their bedroom at this point and he hugged me and said "Daddy is NOT mad at you son I was like your mother just worried about you, would like for us to get some ice cream will that make you feel much better with your brother and little sister me at Dairy Queen?" I remember saying "could we try out that Basket and Robbins instead please?" He said "Dairy Queen is closer for right now okay?" I nodded my head and we got into the car and head to Dairy Queen and got some Dilly Bars that was my dad's favorite ice cream there.

Many things to be Thankful for (First Thursday of November,2010)

I'd have to say the most THANKFUL thing, I'm THANKFUL about most of all is my father didn't have to go through a lot of agony of hurtful pain when he left for his heavenly bound home. Also I would love to THANK everyone from my Men's breakfast at the Cathedral of Joy, to all of my coworkers at Alby for seeing from both of them as well, as all you who read this are friends even more so than you will ever know in his great time of keeping me Matt from drifting into a void filled mess emotionally and spiritually. I still very much feel like I'm wearing my soul on my shelve like I was all last weekend the only difference is I too can now see myself just as flushed with some peeks of life coming back into me, but as I said before I know it will take a long time to forgive myself for not saying "I LOVE YOU" enough to my dad. Now before I end this I want give a resounding thanks to "GOD for letting me have time with a father who did the best with what he knew how to do things in raising three wonderful children in his life here on your home for us your fragile souls of love. Again heavenly father thank you for caring for us when we are blind to all that you hold dear which we should all know by now is the jewel you created called planet Earth- AMEN" thanks for letting me pray that prayer I know I needed to.

GOODBYE DADDY......

Earlier tonight at eight thirty four I was looking through some old photographs of my high school graduation from back in 1991. I all of sudden stopped on the one of my dad. At that same moment I had received a call from my mom in Cuenca Ecuador I knew what the call was going to be about even before she had said anything.... He had been in long term battle with many pains throughout his life....and I can't say I didn't get to say goodbye to him in my own way see the October twenty third posting here soon. All that I can say is I maybe had a HARD TIME most of all of with me Matt not being able to give him offspring in anyway like my brother and sister had done. But I still want my dad I never really called him daddy expect maybe when I was real little....to know that he's in a lot safer place now, and even though I found it HARD like I just said to say "I LOVE YOU" to him "Dad I LOVE YOU even though your not here on this planet earth anymore, and you and I found it so hard to communicate when we did have the opportunity I want you to just know I wish you and I could have been better at knowing each other, so much more than we did. I loved the times we did get to spend together with camping, sitting in your BIG RED chair with Micheal & Kylie too. Thanks for NOT but still (BEING) mad at me for tearing up the back bathroom at the Hoxie house I only wish I hadn't locked that sliding door, by taking us out to Dairy Queen. Also thank you for taking us and my friend Steve to that comic con in Tacoma Washington back in 1990, where I got to see THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN/SPIDER-MAN artist Todd McFarlane for the second time and thanks for taking this photo,
the small one . I will never forget what a good and great person and dad you were. I LOVE You, Micheal Joe Byrd with all my heart & soul.

What is your favorite color of "FALL"

Hey all,
Now I know that before earlier this past summer, I have shared with you all what my favorite color of all is.....but for some little ol reason don't ask me why I got to thinking could we all as humans have a favorite color for a certain time of year as well? My answer would be yes we could/can I just guess it depends on who you are as well, say your the type of person who sees things in just Black and White, does this mean you see all things that way? No it doesn't it just means your view of how you see everything around you isn't always so clear most times. Where someone who maybe blind can and does see the whole world better than "WE who can see everything shows, more times than not we want to admit we with sight can be blind more times than not!"What does having sight or no sight have to do with colors maybe nothing at all, or maybe everything in the whole wide world, my point is we can all see more than we know about a great deal of things. So since this is the second month of the time of year we come to know as "FALL", I think my favorite color of this time of year is "Golden Yellow"and a Turkey color of this type "Brown". So what is yours if I may ask?

Today is very speical to a Spider-man creator but oh which one?

Now who of Spider-Man's many creators could be having a another year older party today, Do you know who it is?, I can say it even surprised me and you know that with something related to the wall crawler that's knida hard to do with me, right?, but still it interesting for sure and by creators do I mean one of the writers of the character or do I mean an illustrator back in the day of when comics were still in the starting stages "Of oh comics are just for kids, right?", flow of thinking that is how comic artists were referred to. So whoever this grand comic creator is, he must have had to be close to one of the first gentlemen to be part of the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN project way back in the formation of the newly christen "MARVEL COMICS" which before that was simply called "ATLAS COMICS" and even before "TIMELY COMICS" in the start of the late nineteen thirties. So let me give you a couple more clues before I reveal who the Spider Birthday belongs to? There were three creators of the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Comic character they were I say "were" for one is no longer with us and he helped create the MARVEL UNIVERSE with Stan Lee his name was Jack Kriby is, who helped Lee with the first two big Marvel comic creations which were the Fantastic Four and The Incredible Hulk,Lee had Kirby draw the cover to Spidey debut Amazing Fantasy #15
, (which is mightily different from the purposed birthday creator who did "ALL" the interior Illustrating for the whole issue and did the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN cover art and page art for the next three years of the title's starting. NO this birthday creator of Spidey
,isn't this wordsman known as Stan Lee which also happens to share my niece Heidi's B-Day.This guy with Lee also created Doctor Strange the sorcerer supreme but because of creative differences between the two on the origin of one of the web head's foes caused this creator a lot of grief (which Spider-Man fans the world over would like to hear this guys thoughts of...), but like Richard Dawnson of "Family Feud" game fame this creator of Spidey prefers his privacy and there is nothing at all wrong with that. His name is Steve Ditko and here are two pages of his and Stan's finest moments on "AMAZING SPIDER-MAN" that truly define all three at the top of their game.
These are from The AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #33 titled " IF THIS BE MY DESTINY" Happy birthday Mr' Ditko!

How I still feel uncertain about my own dad

Now your asking yourself how can any one feel "uncertain" about their own father while he maybe so close to the end of his existence?, Well this is what I mean by it on Saturday evening my mom had called me to tell me of what she did before heading back to Cuenca Ecuador with Chuck, she told me that she saw my dad over at Kadlec hospital in Richland on the previous Sunday and even though he was resting "I told him goodbye from my heart to his" was what my mom had said to me. Now where the "I feel uncertainty" part comes in for me, is that on the night before I talked with my dad's older sister "Betty" about going up to Grand View, Washington to see him before he does pass away to tell him from son to father "It's okay to go be with your loving friends and other family in heaven, for you have done well as best as any daddy could ever do with your life on earth, you will be missed but you'll be loved by knowing we your whole family mom included know that your pain won't hurt you anymore now." Betty was hoping to go up there on Monday the first of November but she told me she'd call me back for sure later because she was tried at the time of when we chatted on Friday night. On that same Saturday morning of when my mother had called me in the evening at my Men's Breakfast at the Cathedral of Joy after someone from Alaska had shared how they had come to let God be their driving focus in life and how they got to that point. I was sitting there in my chair still feeling strong that I'd get a chance to tell my dad goodbye in the way that I wanted to, my friend Kendall the one who helped me back in June with stuff related to my seizure that I had asked me "How is it going Matt?" I of course broke down for the first time since I'd last seen my dad with my brother over at Kadlec hospital from on October twenty third. I told Kendall what had me feeling so low about not feeling I had said enough to my father and where he was now in Grand View and how I felt like I'd never said "I love you, enough" to my own father, he and I sat there for a good forty minutes or at least it seems that way now that I can remember, he suggested I take some time to write something down to share with my father when I see him again. What is above in parentheses is pretty close to what I wanted to say. After this I walked down to Albertson's to talk to Kelsey my boss about what was going on as well, I told her what had happen with my father as I did with Kendall up at the church and that I may need a few days off in the coming week with my Aunt to say my goodbyes to my dad. Betty had told me in that conversation on Friday night that she may want to go see dad on Monday or maybe Tuesday the second of November I was okay with it, but still I called her that Monday morning because that was when she wanted me to get back in touch with her, so I did. She told me that on Monday she still wasn't up to going up there and on Tuesday the second she had her charity "Meals on Wheels" to do and would Thursday the fourth be alright instead I said "Sure that will be OK with me, if your sure your fine with it as well, which she was. We have plans to go see My dad and her brother Micheal Joe Byrd at one p.m. on Thursday the fourth of November..... I just hope I will be able to write something out between now and then.

Taking down Halloween decorations and needing your help to name a nameless Smurf...

Today is the start of a whole new month and now unlike last month of October, I do not feel that I have to follow a certain "color scheme" of each day needing to be hauntingly, frightfully, spooky, to invoke my words. In fact I did it just to have a bit of fun with my own creativity was the whole point to me at any rate. I went and really earlier today I took these

Halloween things down and put them in a safe storage place. I kept the pieces of sticky plastic cling plastic to put the window clings back onto,

so I wouldn't have to use shirk wrap and tear the window clings till n
ext October. Now I do need everyone's help in coming up with a name for this little Blue guy I happen to pick him up originally when I got the majority of the above seen Spooky decor. This is what I'm thinking of since he is sitting on top of a movie money jar "I'm Movie Smurf," please pay for the following feature or at least think about it?" Or how about "SPIDER Smurf", what can you think of and remember we have the help of that girl Smurf known as Smurfete, if you need any help with thoughts for his name try to have them be outta this world if you can please?, but whatever you can come up with will be taken into consideration all the same.
