Ol to Dawn Wells better known as Mary Ann Summers

Hello All,                                                                                                                                                        Hey there gals and guys who know that of late most of us have been going through all kinds of problems of late in our every day lives and if it's not one thing currently it seems like we can't even escape from the craziness of 2020. I will admit that with the pandemic called Covid-19 has hit us all it's sad to hear when it takes another life from the world as a whole, and today I want to talk about Dawn Wells who was born the very same year that a couple of boys named Jerry Siegel (10/17/1914-1/28/1996) and Joseph  Shuster (7/10/1914-7/30/1992) who had happened to have created the world's first ongoing super hero called Superman  in the early spring time when Action Comics was released in nineteen hundred and  thirty  eight. Dawn Wells was born on   10/18/38  to Evelyn Steinbrenner and Joe  Wesley Wells in Reno, Nevada.                       Her acting career began in nineteen fifty nine for the ABC network with The Roaring 20s and the movie  The New Interns. She was cast before being Mary Ann Summers on Gillian's Island on series 77 Sunset Strip

"THE RIVAL EYE CAPER" season 4 first episode. Her character's name was Nixie Martin, Cheyenne

,"Lone Patrol"episode 11 of season 5. Her character's name was Sarah Claypool. Dawn was also in at least two different episodes of the western show series called Bonanza. The  one series that I really do know about that Dawn Wells was in besides her famous Mary Ann Summers on Gillian's Island, was in the Quinn Martin production series called THE  INVADERS in season 2's "Dark Outpost"
episode 25 of the two seasons of the science fiction series. I had seen this very episode on M.E.T.V. back in the midnight time slot in the summer of 2018.                                                          As to when I had first seen Dawn as her Mary Ann character was when I was watching when I was nine years of age when I had first caught "the new adventures of Gillian's Island" cartoon series
on cable television along side "Wacky Racers" and "Grovie Ghoulies"

, yet it turns out that it was produced by HE-MAN and SHE-RA cartoon production company
flimation from Canada which ran for two seasons in 1975-1977. Mary Ann Summers and Ginger Grant were voiced by actress Jane Webb, then when I was 10 years of age in nineteen eighty two another Gillian's animated series by flimation called "Gillian's Planet" and this time Dawn provided voices of  her character and Ginger too, since Tina Louis had decided not to repeat her character's role since the live action series was canceled in April, nineteen sixty seven. Yet I haven't seen that series since I was in school at that time. My first actually episode of the series that I remember viewing with is the one titled "Wrongway Feldman", if I remember correctly Mary Ann wasn't in the episode a whole lot.                                                                                                                                        Then I remember when I was living in Maryland from the spring time of nineteen eighty six till the early summer of nineteen eighty eight I recall seeing the Gillian's Island reunion movie of the Harlem Gobletrorters on Gillian's Island on Chicago's WGN in nineteen eighty seven a few weeks before Star Trek's anniversary at that time and before the airing Star Trek's new series called Star Trek The Next Generation. I almost forgot about M.E.T.V. remembering of Dawn Wells airing today but here's  a little bit of Dawn's episodes that I took from my phone

this is from the episode where Mary Ann, Ginger and Lovely (Ms Howell), were trying to be the first girl band if you could call it that....how the episode starts was Gillian finds a musical group practicing far from where the marooned castaways are, the castaways decide to make their own band to compete with the one that is on the island. The muiscal group makes it admitment of staying on the Island till they get the tunes ready for sharing with the world. The musicians group makes a deal with the castaways that if they are left alone and can focus on their tunes that they will take them back to civilization, yet the greatest threat has happened to the musicians get fearful after seeing the castaways performance and decide to leave the island. An leave the castaways with that chest seen in the above image with a copy of their latest album.                  In the next episode Mary Ann Summers  believes after suffering a knock on the head that she is Ginger. From  the hit on her head  her friends try to help her recovery her memories of who she is. Here is  a clip from that episode where she as Ginger is

rehearsing a scene with Gillian. In the final episode of this special ode of love and respect for Mary Ann they showed the one where she suffers from eating mushrooms that contain poisonous substances. In truth she finds out after a crazy dream that the mushrooms only made her super tried. Dawn passed away on December 30th 2020 because of maybe conroviuris symptoms according to news media reports at the age of 82. She also helped in later years of life with Humanitarian needs by making clothes for people who had limited mobility. Called wishing wells, so overall to me she may have made mistakes in her lifetime but she was a good/humble/understanding woman and now she's where she should be in Heaven. Now the only member of the Gillian's Island castaways that's still living is Tina Louise who played Ginger Grant the actress on the series.
