Hey There all,If your like me and love comic book superheroes and every form of media that they transcend into like video games, original novels outside of their monthly adventures, big movie productions to clothing lines, you'll love this about a medium known as the boob tube and a series on the first superhero ever made. The series I'm referring to is called "SMALLVILLE"
, you know that I have mentioned this tv show before here at Day life of the Matt blog site. What you may or may not know is who it centers around in the comic universe of comic book lore of superheroes, well it turns out it center on The Man of Steel better known as the last son of Krypton or simply Superman.
Before I share with you the history of the "SMALLVILLE", series let me tell you all that I Matt have been infuriated for over four years time with the other comic publisher who owns that other big comic "S"named superhero and because of this even though I love that said character with all my heart, I feel that the character is destroyed beyond repair to having everyone who is a fan of him hate the whole publisher's line of products. Now let me clarify something here and what that is, is this I personally believe that the publisher had a great idea to reinvigorate the character so that fans can see a very different side to him, but what I and other "LONG TERM FANS of the "S" man DO NOT CARE FOR HOW IT WAS PUT OUT THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE, A SLAP IN OUR FACES WHICH NEED NOT BE TO MAKE HIM (the editor in chief of the Publisher), the only one look like HE came up with the idea on "HIS" OWN. I will share with you my take on that very subject matter in a four part series entitled "How does O.M.I.T. (One Moment In Time), affect the comic character known as Spider-Man?" Now I will be the first to tell you that sure even though I love comic book superheroes and that sure Spider-Man's the
ONE that I love the most and wish to relate to the most as well, I know mostly next to NOTHING AT ALL OF THE GRANDDADDY OF THEM ALL the one known as Superman. I really for the most part of my Superman knowledge know about as much as you all do
, but just a wee bit more nothing like how I know of say something like
STAR TREK or even LOST
. Now I must admit a few years ago I did rent the series Pilot of "SMALLVILLE" at the Hastings store in Richland I wasn't to sure of what or how I felt about it at the time I think the series itself was in it's fourth or fifth year on the air. I can say I love the opening song in the opening credits of the show, what "SMALLVILLE" about is Superman before he becomes Superman so in the series it's about Clark Kent with acquiring his powers and knowledge of
who he is to become. It is now in it's tenth year and from what I saw in it third episode of the season it made me Matt all the more pissed off at Spidey owners of Marvel comics, why is that your asking right? Back in two thousand six Marvel had a great storyline that affected every hero in the Marvel Universe entitled "CIVIL
WAR " but they never truly let it affect the superheroes at all, or at least to myself I should say long enough. In that third episode of "SMALLVILLE" they had the Green Arrow who is another Detective comics super hero
, decide to reveal who he really is to the whole world he did it because he chose to do it, what's funny is that during the say that Iron Man forced Spidey to reveal his own secret identity to the whole wide world because he chosen to work with the government rather than oppose it. (This was really Peter's decision without being pushed into by Tony at all he even ask both his wife Mary Jane and his aunt May what they thought of the idea first, ultimately he made the choice himself in the end)
, I had been so wowed that Marvel had such a great idea for taking their heroes in a completely new direction with many different takes on how each hero saw each other and their own outlook on life as well and how it affected those closet to them as well. At a website known asComic Vine.com ~ Comic Book Database, Reviews, News, and Forums - ComicVine.com, where I wrote a blog about this very topic I named it "Did SMALLVILLE steel Civil War's Thrunder is what I named it but of course I meant Thunder and so far from other comic lovers on that very site I have gotten twelve responses. Here are some more spooky hunting pieces for you still playing that horror desktop game of bloodly pictures

, so once again happy or is that brain of yours still BLEEDING from the pieces still given to you from earlier today as well my spooked readers I'd hope so at any rate.
With it being so close to Halloween and you all knowing of my love of comic books, I thought I'd talk about superheroes and the Darkness within them to a certain degree of their own Monster hoodness. I will try to keep out current comic continuity if I can, to reach this point. Let say we start this with a guy named SPAWN
is a dead man whom makes a deal with the devil that he will lead the Devil's minions on earth for the one and only thing he wants more than life itself. That being is to see his beloved wife again. So the pact is made, and when Spawn does return he finds out that he is brunt so badly he doesn't dare see Wanda his Beloved wife and every time he uses his hell powers he comes so much closer to a second death. So the devil wins always against him for when Al Simmons, this is who Spawn was in life, tries do good by killing those who are bad in life he just gives more of himself to his greatest foe. Ok I lied I will use the characters I'm using back history of comic origin so sue me. If you were to meet someone like Spawn that has powers that are dark like he is would you run from them even if all he wants to do is help you in a dark alley. Remember this above all else, he'd still be learning about himself as he stands up for your rights.
Now let's see about the inner demons of a fellow
known as BATMAN, as a young boy his name is Bruce Wayne saw his own parents murder right in front of him. His parents were rich and he use that wealth to train himself in martial arts and learns how to solve mysteries as a great sleuth can. He almost never wants help from anyone but still gets it anyway from a side kick known as Robin & also from a man called James Gordon the police chief of Gotham city. What is truly sad about BATMAN is he uses his true face of Wayne as a mask to come at you as a friend. Would you want so much to meet Batman in a dark alley as well as SPAWN. Since we are talking about superheroes whom seem to have darkness in them and since I have used two characters that I know pretty well from Detective Comics & Image Comics, and lets go for broke here with the owner of the Green skinned Frankenstein like character of Marvel Comics I'm of course
meaning the INCREDIBLE HULK. Here is his origin in a nutshell his human self called Bruce Banner has made a new militarily device for the propose of war with his knowledge of science of Gamma radiation and adding it to a bomb. Hence a Gamma bomb, while testing this for the first time Banner see a teenager out on the test site he tells his Russian assistant to stop the countdown of the test, while he being brave confronts the young teen on the test area. Of course the Russian assistant let the test processed with the hope of Bruce Banner and the teenager dying, but instead what happens is Banner saves the teen by throwing him into a bunker yet he himself is bathed in the release of the gamma radiation and survives. It isn't until nightfall that Banner realizes what the effects of the radiation has done to him, by him becoming some sort of nightmarish creature. Banner has always been trying to get rid of his inner demon with help from others, but the creature known as the HULK wants to live just as much as Bruce wants him gone so it is always a constant struggle between them either way you see it. So now would you want to run into that very same alley where SPAWN & BATMAN are with the HULK there as well, I'd think not?
What my point is, that comic book characters weather they have powers or not most certainly are like us?, how is that you say right, well like you and I they too, have conflict and strife in their everyday lives. It is what really makes us love them for sometimes we just want to be those heroes to get through our own days in what we call life's journey. Here the death pieces for you to rattle over if you don't mind....

or even if you do mind more scares I won't mind at all.
I'd say I must really be in spooky spirits because when I went shopping at where I work for groceries I had happen to get a few Halloween themed decorations to liven up my mood less place. When it is close to a kid themed holiday I usually forgo it and don't brother celebrating it whatever it is not because of my beliefs, but just because I don't want to. This year for some reason every holiday hits me like a "you need to be there in your kid zone again type of feeling!" Please don't ask me why that is because the only answer I can give you if asked "Don't you like to have fun on any given holiday for aren't you a big kid too?", by a little kid I know then they jump on me and I am thrown into why a kid has fun all the time ANY or EVERY DAY.Last year when it was this month I really liked seeing people have fun dressing up like the screaming Joker from the DARK KNIGHT
or like a box of your favorite cereal
for it got me thinking about my own creativity and I promised myself "Matt next year your going all out for this month called October, you know it and better believe it mister!"So this year I decided to go all out. When I went shopping for food last night, here are some of the decorations I just happen upon these very door or wall 3D pictures
which I knew I needed. Here are some window clinging gels
, that I got to put on the front door as well as on some windows around my home. In fact here is my kitchen window in the daytime
well I know what your asking yourselves right?, what the Sam Bloody Heck (Ah see you all thought I was going to say the other "H" word didn't ya?) at night well here for your asking is my decorated front door at night
, and here
it is from the inside of the house. Here are your grave pieces of that hatchet of game so keep digging is...

all that I will offer you if you still with me, in that said hole in the ground

Before I begin my little tale of MONSTER CEREALS I happen to come across a Halloween party CD entitled "FRIGHT NIGHT Beyond the Grave" Which I found when I was thinking how to put this together. The very first time that I Matt tired these cereals was wwwwwwaaaaayyyyy bbbbbaaaaaccccckkkkk, in nineteen seventy seven while I was visiting one of you my blog readers not where you reside now but in Savannah Georgia, all that long time ago. I believe that my first taste of these MONSTER CEREALS was FRANKEN BERRY and yes this really was me
back then in the nineteen seventies, wouldn't you say I've held my looks pretty well remember I'm three hundred and eighty years old and on my next birthday I'm going to be three hundred and ninety. The MONSTER CEREALS were created by the famous General Mills cereal corporation in nineteen seventy one. The first two were Count Chocula and the aforementioned Franken Berry these two were inspired by the proper movie monsters which they were famously named after of Dracula & Frankenstein, which before that each said one was a work of literature long before that. Then in early January of "72" or maybe a little later General Mills added two more for good measure one was a Werewolf & a ghost the Werewolf cereal was called Fruit Brute ,which was a take off on Lon Chancy character from the same era as the other two main MONSTER CEREALS, the ghost cereal came to be known as BOO BERRY.
The MONSTER CEREALS, are always available during this month known as October. By the year nineteen eighty three the Fruit Brute, brand was taken off the market. In nineteen eighty seven a new brand known as
Yummy Mummy. Sadly the new cereal as well didn't last long either as like the Fruit Brute, it was discontinued, but here
is what the marketing for Yummy Mummy looked like till nineteen ninety three. If you are one adult like me or a kid who likes these MONSTER CEREALS, I suggest you go out to your local grocery store even if it's NOT us at ALBRETSON'S (for right now we are out of them), but I have found out that they are available at TARGET or Wal-Mart so I wish you luck in getting them during this time of year. Here is something of a secret I found out the MONSTER CEREALS, are able to be order yearly round as of this year two thousand and ten at AMAZON.COM. Here are UR guessing pieces
