Hastings stores are no more with in the Tri-Cities area or for that matter.....

Hello All, I'm sure that everyone around the world is very said to once again see the downsizing of yet another business that has kept a lot of us entertained weather we realized it or not. I used to go to the address of where Hastings is seen here

on George Washington way in Richland. In fact I remember when the very building use to be the grocery chain known as Food Pavilion and even further back than that it was in the mid nineteen seventies when it was Buttery's who were a huge chain that competed with both Safeway and Albertson's. I am not sure of when they changed to Food Pavilion exactly I believe it must have been when our family was living on the east coast which was in nineteen eighty six to the summer of nineteen eighty eight. Hastings to me was always a place to go to when I couldn't make it out to the other city known as Kennewick to get to Colombia center to shop at Barnes and Nobles or any other reason to go to the mall. Hastings was in fact the place to go to and find music, books, posters and of course for some the coffee shop when Star Bucks just wouldn't wait! I had actually seen someone back in August holding up a big Yellow sign with Black writing on it that stuff was up to fifty percent off on sale at the store.
When I just happen by there today at two thirty on the outside of the entrance window it said last day in Capitol letters with a big red number 1! So in a way I was lucky to see the place one last time. After I was there for a half hour they went and told every one in the store that you had a choice of a White plastic bag that could be filled with anything expect books for forty dollars. The other bag was a Black bag and if you filled it with books they were five dollars apiece. So I filled up a white bag with these DVDS and other stuff

for forty eight eighty five. There four DVDS missing but I went and had a WHOPPER of a savings of two hundred and forty nine dollars and seventy eight cents. I then went over to Adventures Underground and made sure that even though they as well were having a massive book sale of both books and comics I resisted the urge to get only these two very nice Spider-Man drinking glasses for

a little over ten dollars a piece. The all RED one has Peter's suit that Tony Stark made for him before CIVIL WAR started known as The IRON SPIDER-SUIT and the clear one has a Stencil of a Steve Ditko image of Peter in his first hand stitched one from as far back as AMAZING FANASTY number fifteen. Yet I know that I will miss going to Hastings when I'm in Richland from now on the thing that I hope happen for the former employees can get a great standing in their future job searches..... This really I hope that ALL, Hastings employees from state to state can have a reckoning of ease for since the company as a whole filed for bankruptcy when getting a new start in the work world.
