A Black and White graphic novel known as.....(pt 1 of 8)

Hello comic readers who love comics of ALL KINDS......,
Here is what we are reading for our upcoming review for the comic book group

at Adventures Underground in Richland Washington at the uptown shopping center. It will be nice to see if this set of reviews bring new comers to the store, that want to just see what the club is all about, or just if you want to make new friends.... Here is my personal take on the first book called "CUBBY HOLE".

Okay So I happen to have a very interesting question for anyone who loves comics or rather newspaper comic strips on a Monday thru Saturday basis? I will give you my own answer after sharing this story of a young kid who has to deal with everyday pressures of accepting his choices about his family, how he sees religion, what comes from maybe just starting to understand that life is more than just about being Black and White at times. This story shows how a set of young boys named Phil and lead character Craig Thompson are living with their parents in the state of Wisconsin, we learn that the brothers shared

the same bed the two are trying sleep or at least Craig is, while Phil is trying to keep from being bored and didn't want to be alone in the duration throughout the night. They end up making enough sounds that their father comes up to their room to deal with his boys.....

He shows the young lads what the noise making sounds result in by telling Craig to stay in bed an rest up, while he takes Phil to a very small spaced room and keeps him inside it for the night. Then we learn that besides being annoyed by his younger brother Craig feels the pressures of trying to figure out how to relate to his classmates. For if they don't mock him with their oversized muscles, they for sure taunt him

,when he fails on a big time test. From this he believes it is his right to let the hurting insults impact him ever more when he teases Phil on yet another given school day. The young man also seems to feel lost in looking back at when he was Phil's age and seems to have a hard time relating to his religion which his mother tries to show both brothers how knowing "A relationship with our Spiritual savoir is better than just taking on the whole wide world because of one's own needs.....

So as you can see this first book "BLANKETS" tackles so many life changing aspects of life for Craig Thompson that as a reader you can see a lot about your own given life from when you were a teenager, that you can really relate to having a outlook of just wanting or wishing to give up and choose to run for the hills of anywhere which Craig was at one point seeing himself deciding upon....

My way of reflecting: For me this fictional tale of sorts does bring back some real interesting fights that my brother and sister and myself too ended up in trouble for silly things and when I look back on some those very arguments or fights we had we did deserve our time out times. As for who showed me Matt Hope in believing in our savoir was and is always my mother's own dad Ben Powers. Is life always going to be easy or hard for me I believe it is our bylining set of inner strengths that build our hopes of a better tomorrow always.
Now about my very first question about newspaper comic strips before I leave you for today is this in a bigger way of a answer What is it about one that keeps you wanting to come back for more?              TBC!
