LOST FANS ARE WE READY FOR THE END?

LOST, when it first premiered in two thousand four was the second show by Executive producer, writer, director J.J. Abrams that was a success for television. It was about a group of survivors of Oceanic flight 815 and the island they come to. J.J.'s first show to draw this kind of attention was a show that starred Jennifer Gander where she played as a CIA double agent Sydney Bristow the show was called ALIAS. The trend that started out as LOST may go back to the long running soaps of Friday nights back in the nineteen eighties such as Dallas in a ongoing story, but then it stops right there because LOST became so much more than just a show about those survivors it became a cult phenom in every way possible for the show is still addictive as hell. Finding from the very beginning that you had to catch little things from the Flashbacks was frustrating at first when one would see the pilot of the series you had to pay very close attention to the smallest detail no matter how slight it was. Here's such a instant to remind you of such how ponderous a part of the story was the character of Jack Shephard had some alcohol to clean his wound, where did he get it?, you find out he had one of the plane's strew dress give it to him to relax during the flight back to Los Angeles from Sydney Australia. On this Island there is a chance to apparently change your life by changing what you did in the real world. There were two main story points from in season one that help propel the rest of the series for the duration of it's run so far, one was why were "the others" so interested in Claire from the plane crash and the other was what is it about the hatch that Boone & Locke had found, in the very episode where they find the hatch there's a great Star Trek insider joke.
Boone was using red piece cloth to help him and Locke find their way back to the camp. They and Jack & Kate were trying to find the kidnapped Claire & Charlie Boone says as he finishes tying the cloth to a tree "Red shirt." Locke turns to look at him "Huh?" Boone walks away from the tree "Red shirt you ever watch Star Trek?" Locke turns his head slightly looking back at the young teenager as the teenager says "The crew guys who would go down to the planet with the main guys, the captain and the guy with the pointy ears." Locke looks back slightly to Boone as he goes on. "They always wore red shirt, and they always got killed." Locke turns back as they continue their search for Charlie & Claire "yeah!" Boone thinks Locke wishes to go on with the topic so he says "yeah."Locke goes on to say "sounds like a piss poor captain" what the joke is that Terry O Qinn that plays John Locke on LOST did so very well happen to play a former captain to Jonathan Franks first officer of the Enterprise D in the Star Trek Next Generation episode the Pegusas where a star ship phased into a solid asteroid he play Admiral Erik Pressman. The hatch had numbers that the character Hurley thought of as a cruse always where ever he was and to those around him. The audience of fans had a boat load of questions when the first year of LOST ended. Two of the most important were what was down in the hatch?, and secondly did the survivors on the raft make it back to home.
It's very rare when a show such as LOST that was written by Executive Producer, writer, director J.J. ABRAMS goes unnoticed when he got the chance to direct the second big screen adaption to Mission Impossible 2 right after the pilot of LOST aired. J.J. even just recently directed the film of a new STAR TREK last year. LOST had so many plat toes to it's many mysteries that each time it answered one it let the door be open for a whole new set of questions. Fans grew from many places with how they like or love the show some grew from sci-fi circles, some from just general people wanting to know what the buzz was about it was? In the season two opening of Lost we find out that what's in the hatch is a man named Desmond whose been in the hatch for a long time and he thinks the survivors of the Oceanic flight are there to replace him. He happen to show Jack & John a film called the DHARMA orientation station three the swan the other two big things that had happen in season two were it was revealed that tail section of the plane did survive as well as the fuels-loge section it was that they came down on another part of the Island and they too had found a DHARMA station on the Island as well and apparently the leader of the others is caught by Sayid and the French woman Danielle Roussea (hey wait a minute isn't that the name of the kid from the Karate Kid from the first three movies in that series.) who happen to call himself Henry Gale. Hey before I go on from here I was wondering how many of you recall getting a friend or family member addicted to LOST?, by time the second year of LOST ended you found out that the show meant business of killing off characters when Micheal shot Ana Lucia & Libby in "Two for the road", and then taking the survivors at the camp to the Others, while he and his son Walt head for home.

Something really mind blowing had happen when LOST came back for it's third season a lot of causal viewers were upset or at least confused because some were still new comers to watching this show, they wanted the show to make sense to them right now. The writers of the show seemed unsure of where they were taking the show or at least it seemed like that?, People had been throwing out theories since the first season about the greatest character of all the Island itself. Slowly it seemed take shape as a story in time or so the set up of the Flashbacks lead one to believe. In the opening of season three the Others had taken the leaders of the survivors Kate & Sawyer and put them in animal cages that held polar bears,
but most importantly Jack to help fix their cancer stricken leader Benjamin Linus. While tending to care for Ben Jack finds a lady doctor named Juliet watching him as he works and comes to find out that Ben has her there for other reasons. Meanwhile back on the main Island they were trying to find out what happen to the hatch itself, John Lock was this side of the Island leader now.

The others leader Ben tries to convince Sawyer that they are on a totally different Island altogether from where they were for the past two years. (Maybe there is some truth to this as we see in later seasons of this series or maybe not?) Eventually Ben & Locke go in search of the inhabitant on the Island known as Jacob only to find out that Ben is once again playing a trick with the one survivor from Oceanic Flight eight fifteen that claims to know the Island they go to a place that Ben says is Jacob's cabin. The audience gets to see into the shadows where Locke & Ben only see nothing. Season three ends with a huge conflict between the survivors of Oceanic flight eight fifteen and the Others,

which leads to a trek across the Island to a radio tower to destroy with the chance to finally go home.

At the radio tower Benjamin Luis their sworn enemy begs them not to shut off the transmitting signal for fear of what may come? and of course Locke's not anymore understanding than Ben is either? Don't ask me how this goes and happens but for the first time we have a Flash forward as the season cliff hanger where we find a bearded Jack talking to Kate telling her he can't find his way back to the Island.
Season four of LOST had one thing going against it, Well actually all of TV/movie projects were hit with a stall till writers got a fare share for what they scripted this ran from August of two thousand eight till November two thousand eight. In fact before the strike occurred we had eight episodes of Lost. Let us ourselves have a Flashback real quick here back to the end of season two where Locke won't let Desmond push the numbers 4,8,15,16,23,42 into the computer that will save the world every time those numbers are set and reset the very counter seen here, which is directly above the computer itself. The Hatch explodes sending out a signal out into the real world where two guys playing a game of chess see that the seal on the hatch is no more and one of them calls a woman known only as Penny to us at the time? We knew up till this moment that Desmond had known Jack from a time close to his first time ever of operating on a patient, we also knew how Jack knew everyone from Oceanic 815 that survived the crash as well. We knew Desmond had come to the Island by a boat. we also knew where Jack was with the "Others" along with some of those very same people from the crash. We'd just learned of how Desmond came to know of the DHARMA project & what he was to do till a replacement arrived. Now why did those two guys call Penny just now?, Jump back to where we just were at the end of the season three finale where while Jack & most of the Oceanic 815 reached the radio tower, we also had Desmond and Charlie attack a underwater DHARMA station where we find out the boat that Jack's trying to get a singing to is not
then whose boat is it that is near the Island? It turns out the boat belongs to a guy named Charles Widmore, who is apparently Penny's father but why is he here now? We also learn why Ben brought Juliet to the Island & why the"Others" were so interested in Claire and her unborn baby from earlier in the series.
It is a known fact that women on this Island who are native to the Island itself die while giving birth to a child on the Island. We see also how the "Others" responded to the crashing of the flight of Oceanic 815 and why it came down was because Desmond didn't hit the numbers right on the computer that saved the world but why the hatch at that time didn't go kal-blewy was because of the magnetic force of the plane was aligned with the hatch's magnetic fields at that given time on September 22th 2,004. We also see an member of Oceanic's crew who was thought to be safely in the real world return when Desmond and Sayid try to find out what's up with the boat doings near the Island. Since the writer strike was so long every Television series jumped right into their finales pretty quickly, boy oh boy LOST's fourth finale sure as all get out didn't disappoint any fans either. They had to find a way to make the story about Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sun, and Claire's baby Arron getting rescued in the real world,
how is this done well Ben in another DHARMA Station turns a wheel that somehow has a very what looks like lasting effect on Widmore's plans to find the Island again.

So with a bomb on the boat they blow it to pieces. Season five of Lost has everyone leaping back and fourth through time while they seem to jump way into the past around nineteen fifty four they also seem to jump into the future but not the present of two thousand ten, because Jack and the others of Oceanic Flight 815 use another airline altogether to get back to the Island & yes Ben was with them as well.
still somehow they ended up in nineteen seventy seven to be part of the beginnings of the DHARMA project that built the hatch to begin with.

The season Finale opened with these two
men talking of course one's Jacob but who is the other?

Inside of the big footed statue Ben kills Jacob because Lock
e tells him to.

Back in nineteen seventy seven while trying to stop the pressure pocket of time Juliet's pulled into the hatch after the nuclear bomb.

Juliet hits the bomb with a rock from inside to hatch to make it go off,

For the time we see the screen of LOST go to white instead of the normal black.
I still have a lot of questions like are there two Richards as well?, Will there be a reveal of the evil Locke or if not what's inside him as well as to when it will happen? I think it had happen back when he and Ben were at Jacob's cabin that the hunter Locke was replaced for wasn't it right before then that Ben push him into the skeletons of the DHARMA people that Ben himself had killed years earlier to be the one known as the leader? I have many more to but I'll wait and see as the last season unfolds.
I do hope you'll all like or love this final season of the one show that made you stop & think every now and again but the easiest way to remember the show is that when it started six years ago they really grabbed your attention and you'll ne
ver forget how because it always was staring you in the face.
