Matt's review of Barry Allen's new series in over two decades......

Well to go and say it isn't the year of comic book proprieties making a splash in other media would be rather off beat or is it more the word that I'm looking for is "FL ASHY" is more in the way of what I'm striking at! Yes if you didn't know better there is just as much super heroes as there is of football and is it a hot iron as a filed goal or a "Hail Mary victory dance" you are darn tooting it is.  With old favorites like "ARROW" returning tomorrow night by the way on the C.W. network to "Marvel's Agents of Shield" which started season two a week ago on the ABC network you wouldn't think of something new like Fox's GOTHAM is anything other than a Batman year one storyline which I'm still considering on getting......

Yet there is one new super hero show that started tonight two hours ago by the name of "THE FLASH" as to how did I enjoy it? and will it be the next big ongoing thing superhero wise look for lighting striking result below the jump do give a bit of a speeding answer to Mister Allen's twist of powered fate, for sure!

Quick, what is the FASTEST way to ensure your way into being the greatest hero ever?,
Well I know that everyone who reads this knows who my all time favorite superhero is even if I don't show his picture at all, but we are here tonight to discuss one of the comic world's most energized heroes of the comic book universe opposite that of Marvel comics for sure. The character I'm talking of has had many different secret identities over the course of his seventy four years of existence, and for now we are going to be dealing with his second most common identity that of a man who goes by the name of Barry Allen and what happens to him after he gains the power to be the fastest man alive! As I have indicated in the title of this very blog there was at one time in the very early nineteen nineties there was a show of the same name as this one and it starred John Wesley Shipp just after Tim Burton's "BATMAN" movie as Barry Allen and yes he is in this  new version as Henry Allen the father of Barry. Who is played by the young star of "GLEE" series from the FOX network and portrayed the Barry character on two episodes of the C.W. network's other D.C. Comics character series known as "ARROW", his name is Grant Gustin. At the end the second episode we saw how he got the power of being Flash, but no back story other than rumors.......till now!

When the pilot for this series opens up we the viewers see an immense city that is much like a city from either coast of the whole united states and yep I'm talking maybe Los Angeles of the golden state known as California or maybe even Manhattan of the state of New York anyway as we look at zipping streaks here and s zipping streaks there. We hear the voice of Barry Allen tell us that it is him we are seeing as he moves at a speed so fast all we witness is a blur, he then tells us he has always been a runner. We go back to when he is about eleven and see him being beat up by school bullies, then we see what is happening in his everyday job as a  scientist for his city's police department which the duty officer razes him about being late as usual. AS he picks up a sample of evidence from a crack edge in the sidewalk, he in his thoughts remembered when his own mother told him he can never out run the emotions of his heart, but then at the same time he remembers a couple of years later when he heard a sound that woke him up from his sleep and put his dad Henry in prison. So we come to find out that he was raised by the West family while growing up and fell in love with his friend  and not really sister Iris, after finding what he found on sidewalk was dog poop he shows off his true intellect to her and her father by showing them the physical mas of acceleration of particles, then a call comes in over the police radio at the station and Iris the dad is off on another beat investigation.
While Barry offers to walk Iris home, it turns out that at S.T.A.R.L.A.B.S. a scientist known as Harrison Wells is running a test on his latest machine to find out if Metahumans exist.....Barry notices the sky is acting strange after taking Iris home, and he gets back to the police station and tries to study it since besides being a scientist his curiousness gets the better part of his Judgement whilst this is happening and he opens the skylight and this

happens to him.  Meanwhile, two brothers who are criminals are busy keeping Iris father and his partner on the run as they try to solve the investigation the were tasked handle. The chase has ended up atone of Central city's abandoned airports and the two would be hoods board a plane to get away to a new life, only that isn't what happens at all the plane is caught in the same storm Barry Allen is so perplexed when he is charged with lighting......
The next day not do we see Barry use his unknown power for good when a crook tries to grab an officer's gun we also learn that only one of the two brothers survived the destruction of the plane crash, only to have a power that is truly God like. What is his power your wondering huh? this guy can yes that's right control the weather at his wimp. We also learn why Barry is trying to prove his father's innocent of killing his wife Barry it seems when heard that strange noise all those many years ago saw his mother in a energy storm right in the Allen's living room and he swears he saw someone in the energy storm itself, but no one will believe him at all. Barry goes to S.T.A.R. L.A.B.S. to talk with Wells after he gets the power from the lighting blot and the team that Wells has working for him put Barry to the utmost type of test just to see how far he can excess in speed, they find out that within a minute of time Barry can reach three hundred miles per hour if he wants to! Barry rejoins Iris father on the investigation of the brother who controls weather after he tries to kill Barry with a car.
In the end of this first episode Barry not only stops the bad guy but also now has Iris's father on his side of helping him to release his true father Henry from Prison. And Wells who claimed the power of the storm put him in a wheelchair seems to know of a event in the course of this series that has Barry missing as  of
April 24,2024? What does it all mean with the series at some point? All I can say is not only are the possibilities endless for a viewer like me or you but there is also a storyline maybe of "Infinite Crisis" in the run of this Fastest Man Alive series!
