Good bye to a Saturday morning brother
Hello All,
Look I know that I Matt Byrd do share a lot of interesting stories here on my little nitch of the wondrous part of the world wide web known as Day life of the Matt, and as I'm listening to "All about love", album by Steven Curtis Chapman will help me feel right of sharing about a brother in Christ. He was a great many things besides being a servant of our heavenly father, he was a father himself, he help with many productions of a Christmas event known as "The Living Nativity", He loved visiting those who were sick or needed to hear a word of hope. He just recently went with his wife to Hawaii, I found out from another brother who was shopping at Albertsons that he had drowned while enjoying a swim. I always knew him as Pastor Dick I never learned his last name, but every Saturday morning for the past four years he was always so cheerful in lighting up your day with his "Hey there or was it Hi....." I'm just so much in tears for his family and his church brothers and sisters I know can't put enough into words of how much we each loved Pastor Dick. I guess what this short journey of life shows us all as the fragility of the meaning of life is a great wonderment no matter what paths we all set for ourselves that make living what we are given whether we have a long amount of years or just moments after being born of having it whisked away We as humans know life must be lived for every second we have. I remember Pastor Dick a couple weeks ago was saying to a DvD series we are studying in Men Breakfast called ED' Story about a person with A.L.S. on a questionnaire the question was this "How do you plan on spending the time you have left, whether it's one year or fifty" His answer was rather unexpected but made sense, he said
"I have had a good life of helping those who have needed to find encouragement in life and I hope with God's help that I have provided that in some small fashion to help as best I can through my giving of time"
I know that from both my step brother Lyle's passing in September to Pastor Dick of the church known as The Cathedral Joy just a few days ago since I heard this very moving news, I know life at any aspect of how one looks at it means you have to live life for not myself, but for hopefully helping others even if I don't know where it will take me it's the steps of how we learn everyday skills that help us in searching out Jesus Christ, in the biggest way possible?
That being of course helping by encouragingly sharing your love of HIM rather huge or tiny remember this, we are all loved because of how we share our own experiences of hope and failure of how we trust in faith.
