Wonder Woman stripped of her American flag look

Boy what a title for this very posting huh?, I only found this out just a couple of days ago myself and I was really trying to come up with a True Eye Popping title for talking about this very subject. And I thought about the word that would fit change for such a Iconic comic book character and the word I felt worked best is "STRIPPED" and I felt since I try to keep most things that I post about here respectable, it was better than saying Wonder Woman running around in her comics lately naked. I was wondering do most people know of her history at all? So I felt I would share with you all what you may not know of her history?, before I show you her current threads.
Wonder Woman was created by two men wwwwwaaaaayyyy bbbbaaaaacccckkkkk in the latter part of the nineteen thirties to rival these two

, already iconic comic super heroes who DID have there first appearance(s) of at the time shortly before World war II started for America, anyway. Superman officially began in May/June in the periodical put out by National Allied publication /All American publication called

and exactly a year later Batman came out in the company's new forged name

as the hero of nineteen thirty nine, by Bob Kane and the rarely known Bill Finger Batman's writer. Wonder Woman's two creators were much like Batman's & Superman's (Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster) were William Marston & Harry G. Peter who was the character's artist in fact here is his first sketch of

what was to be the amazon princess known as Wonder Woman. (In fact the character's name wasn't wonder woman at first more on that shortly), Wonder Woman's creator Marston was a very strong believer in feminist rights for all women in his lifetime. He lived a life style of a ployamorous relationship with his wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston and Olive Bryne. (Not KNOWN by me anyway, if this is a relative of the comic artist and writer John Bryne.) Will Marston had seen the success as I said of the two boys in the comic book world and wanted to throw in a female counterpart, so he molded this fictitious female character after his wife and Olive as the main template of her origin with the character being more like Superman than Batman in that she would be god like. So Marston started her roots as related to the Greek Gods in Greek/Roman histories and her world was invaded by man, the character lived on a peaceful island known as Paradise Island with her sisters. After winning a contest that her own mother forbade her entrance she becomes the representative of Paradise Island in what is known as Man's world. Her name was to be "SUPERMA", when editor Sheldon Mayer saw this he changed the character's name to "Wonder Woman", before her first story was released in dated for the year of 1941.
It was a full six months later that Wonder Woman got her own official title, Marston also had another part of a something he helped improved in the early nineteen twenties be apart of Wonder Woman by way of the character's golden lasso. What was it your asking right?, well here is the answer what is the Golden Lasso capable of doing to anyone bound by it, even wonder woman herself is powerless to this? It is that the person ensnared by it must tell the truth no matter what! Marston before creating "Superma" as he called her was a actual inventor and psychologist and he helped make the lie detector/polygraph machine more infective

,by adding a metabolism reader for blood rate and he made the detector itself easier to hook up to and individual undergoing such a test. When he was writing the comic he would indulge in having the title character Dania Prince catch someone in the lasso, now as to "IF THIS " was to fulfill his own fantasies of sexual bondage is truly unknown "OR IF" to promote the new adaptions he put in place on the already fifty three year old device. The Lie detector or such types of prototypes of it were first started in Africa in eighteen eighty five, it wasn't till about the nineteen hundred that such prototypes made there way to North America the man who modernized it before Marston was a gentleman by the name of Cesare Lombroso and that was in nineteen hundred and four. Marston wrote Wonder Woman from nineteen forty three till his shortly before his death in nineteen forty seven. Harry G Peters stayed on as her artist till a few months before his passing in nineteen fifty eight. Most comic book writers right after Marston's death didn't know which way to take the character at first, but for the general storytelling they mostly kept her in the World War era or on Paradise Island then in the latter part of the sixties they made a complete change in her character where she wasn't a super powered heroine at all but rather a flower shop girl like Janet Wood from Three's Company here is what she looked like back then
this was kept up through the mid nineteen seventies when something had happen for the character via a campy show for one of the two men she was trying to compare to in the nineteen forties & fifties. That show was BATMAN that starred Adam West & Burt Ward as the Caped crusaders. The developer of that series William Dozier was ask to make a Wonder Woman series in that same format in nineteen sixty seven but it just didn't work out. Wonder Woman's history with the small screen was truly just beginning at the time for even through she couldn't be in a live action series as of yet, she did enjoy many forms of animation at the time. Then in nineteen seventy four two years after this writer was born, a TV movie of the week was made with Cathy Lee Crosby as Wondy, and as you can rightfully see the costume just didn't sell the show neither did the actress with blond hair. Something about this gave the excessive at ABC a chance to reconsider his choice for the lead character when the production replaced Crosby with a unknown at the time Lynda Crater who embodied the comic look of the character herself. Sadly after just a season of the show (1976), the rating were very high still ABC thought that they couldn't do anymore with her story in that summer CBS brought the syndication of ABC's rights and put Wonder Woman into present time story lines with cast in toe as well! Altogether Wondy's live action series ran for two more years.
In the character's comic history writers just had a very hard time making her work in the seventies, so they decided to make the character like the TV series and had her in World War II and as a spy in present day. Till nineteen eighty five when DC comics came up with the best way to update their whole comic universe, what they did was come up with a storyline to separate the timelines. The story was known as "CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS"

(Boy what I wouldn't do to see MARVEL clean up their comic universe, especially of late), Well anyway after this Wonder Woman was now a Ambassador from "Themycia" (Paradise Island's:new name). She is more confined to here more than in "Man's World" when she is in "Man's World" her troubles still seek her out, unlike in the early seventies and early eighties where she was split like the rest of her compatriots before that said crossover in 1985. A quick note back in 1986 for four months the character had no title of her own, I guessing this was to set her apart completely for a while. This summer former AMAZING SPIDER-MAN SCRIBE (that's a fancifully wording for writer/author), Micheal J.Straczynski takes Diana in a "NO HOLDS BAR, I'M TAKING BACK" story of finding her place in her own mind & world, So here is a look at Diana's take charge look with her many other classical comic looks over her sixty nine years as a representative of Feminist right is justifiable as Masculinity is for males.Just respect women for who they are whether they are Wonderful lovers or your everyday friend is what I'm and hopefully every story of Diana Prince boils down too.
