So big of a series where do I start?

Hello All,
Well as I'm finding the words to put the start of this very long newest sci-fi series of books to the top of my list, I can without a doubt say over the past two weeks of time I haven't read but three chapters of my goal to the end of part one of a very grand scale saga of everything one needs to.......juice up one's need for science fictional fun.If you remember just after finishing

these two classic tales of a girl whom dreamed her way outta of everything back in the latter part of early April of this very year. The series that I've stepped  up to of the book series shown here

, it is of course got the main word "ALIEN" within every title as you can see, and soon the author is coming out with her ninth book in whole sh-bloomy adventure. The way each separate book is written all of the chapters are short, the last time I read a book like that it was titled "THE GOLD COAST" it was much like George Orwell's  book 1984, which was originally written in nineteen forty eight and released in in nineteen forty nine. I haven't read that book ever but I have seen most of the nineteen eighty five film but not all of it either.....my main point is I went and read "THE GOLD COAST" in the summer of nineteen ninety six and I swore because of how it was constructed into small like chapters that I promised myself even back then, I wouldn't read another book like it ever......but a few months back when I found this "ALIEN" series I still held my gritty ground as best I could. Still there was something about the words blurbs on the rest of the series teases that I decided to give in and so here we are with as I call it part one of a three part story of "TOUCHED BY AN ALIEN". This will consist of the first twenty two chapter out of sixty five, each of the other titles in the series will be three parters as well!   It all starts with the main protagonist named Katherine Katt, who lives in Arizona was wrapping up her day of being a Jury duty member at the Pueblo Caliente courthouse, all hell break loose right in front her when a couple has a very awkward domestic  engagement for the male half of the party happens to morph into something not of this earth.He had grown on his back a pair of wings that stretched six and half feet high, with odd like feathers that gleamed with a viscous substance on them and as Katherine watched the what she still thought was a man turn to his wife and just outright killed her with blades that shot out of the feathers. People on the street were screaming and running like mice to get away from the whatever it was but not Katherine for some reason she wasn't trying to be a hero at all, yet she had to do something? She had found in her purse a gift from her father, a Mont Blance pen, with her recalling her days back in high school of being on the track team and leap on to the strange creature's back and he returned to being a man after she stabs it in the center of it's wingspan. Then finally the cops come from their work at the courthouse where Miss Katt just left to go back to her normal work, and a midst the crowd was a non looking person who took a interest for her work here on the main street, his name is Jeff Martini. He takes her away in a limbo with five other strangers at this point to Katherine and it seems as if her life just shot itself into crazy stuff of the likes of the one thing I love to talk about known as the Twilight Zone. The fellas introduce themselves which makes her even more nervous because they won't explain why they came after her she thinks highly of her high school pal Chuckie   who has the name of "Conspiracy"in front of his name because his far out theories when the limbo pulls up to strange unmarked building that Jeff and the others refer to as Headquarters.It is here that Kat learns at least that what she killed in front of the courthouse is what is known as a alien life form called a SUPEZRBEING which in truth is a parasite that is from another galaxy, that hides in any kind of human and that Jeff and his pals are from Alpha  Centauri system, they have been on the planet earth since the mid sixties chasing these parasites as they grow stronger with each passing decade. Katherine get a call from her father while at this site they are at, and from what he explains it seems like something out of a mob war in a foreign country right in the heart of downtown Caliente, Arizona was airing worldwide with his little "Kitty" being the all out hero by taking a group of terrorists out all by herself? What were Jeff and his pals really hiding from her let alone the whole wide world about the alien parasites.....Her dad wants a call every two hours to know that she is okay while the Homeland Security is questioning her, unless it's four in the morning. Her dad also tells her that her that her mother is probably more excited than he is about what's going on.........so just what did Jeff's pals do to cover Kathrine's big take down of ol wingy boy, anyhoo?, speaking her mother she gets a call from her as her mom is stuck in the JFK airport in New York and the whole team warns her that all of her family maybe at risk of being under the influence of any of the parasites, she tells their leader a Mister White that  she will only be willing to help them at all is if they recuse her mother whom it turns out is a tough cookie in her own right....and when they get to the airport it turns out that there is a SUPERBEING that looks very devilish and is known by a name very close to what Spider-Man fans hate most of all Mephisto, who took his marriage away in a much forgotten (at least to me it's still wrenching NO MATTER WHAT kinda tale known as, "ONE MORE DAY"), the main feisty alien that has taken over a human is called Mephistopheles and Katherine while saving her mom is nearly killed by him for Mephistopheles tries to make a yummy snack out of her, when she sprays a can of hairspray from again her most helpful weapon known as her purse. After recusing her mother Katherine learns more than she ever wanted to of how her folks met, and the team goes and makes good on ensuring she will help them by getting her father as well. Along with all of the family pets as wlll.........

Here are my thoughts on this story so far, it is just what someone who is having a burn out on everything that you maybe reading to get you into the flight of reading for the joy of filling a huge forgotten friend when your more comfortable with learning about life that given way. It has without a doubt something for fans of not just comic books but fantasy in the awe over the top you won't see that coming out of nowhere! It's going keep me coming back for sure in it's many squeals that I included up above.

1701 and what no Trekking off? say what?

So as my vacation for this year comes to a close what is it about these 
 

two yet different, yet the same forms of "TREK" that keeps me hoping for a chance at change for the next few years......

An now, for the end of my vacation for this year....., pt . I of II

Hey, hey, hey, hey, all,

Well it has finally found me, the ending of yet again another great time spent with my folks Chuck Watson my step father and my mother Nancy Watson,  whom took me on just again another one of my grand vacations. I am sitting here in the very same hotel we came to first stay at over two weeks ago....it is in Maple Grove Minnesota, just outside of the twin cities and very close to the airport, the hotel's name is Cambria suites. Today they picked me up 

 Chuck's daughter Merri's home, for I again last night or even earlier on this trip decided to stay one more night with her and her nine kids living at home with her and her husband Ken, in a very remote part of the state of Minnesota in a small farming area, called Morrill. While spending the night there I helped with some of the kids, chores even though I was a guest, I helped Bethany Pagie with loading their water heater with water salt pellets that Ken brought home on his way home from work. With the third to last bag of filling the water heater, I'll admit it right here and now I caused a the problem of some the pellets to be under the dryer, "So sorry about that Merri,  but I did try my best to get as much of it as I could from under the dryer. I hope that I haven't X-pelled myself from ever visiting with the Mickelson bunch again?" Still I did enjoy that movie we saw on your computer called "RISE OF THE GUARDIANS" last night, and also from two weeks ago the one by Disney called "FROZEN". Later on tonight after mostly repackaging our suitcases and carry on's we will end this grand vacation of the Mid west with a nifty play at a Best Western hotel that has a play theater just behind the hotel's restaurant, more that on Sunday in real posting time and after some swimming time with my brother Michael and his family at where my folks will be till late this upcoming Tuesday when they will be heading two different directions my mother will be heading to the Virgin Islands to see her younger sister's oldest son, my cousin Daniel Simmons get married, and Chuck will head back to his daughter Merri's home and spend two weeks time with his two grandsons, Joshua and Nathaniel.........

Whoa well are we tracking to now, my good friend?,
Yes I do have to admit I still have quite a huge brunch to share picture wise and talking about while on my trip to going and at the same time seeing my family whilst in the state of Minnesota, which I had told you all that I can of the first part on my way to seeing the landmark known as Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Still as I said earlier today we are in the capital city of North Dakota and earlier today I shared about being in a famous movie town, no I'm not talking Hollywood California that's so much closer to where I live in Washington state to be honest, but the famous town that I'm talking of had 
 

this very colorful Buffalo at the town's little sightseeing museum. That town is known as Fargo, North Dakota. We as I said stayed there for only a short time then we, my folks and I were on the mighty trail of cool adventures as we were listening to a audio book on compact disc the name of it was "Against Medical Advice" it dealt with a young man named Cory that grew up suffering from turret syndrome and was given by many doctor different drugs to control it but all it ever did of any drug at all was make things just that much worse off. He grew out of it on his own when he was in his late teens. Anyway just so you know that little song lyric that I started the last entry with from earlier today was and is most notably is how I always will feel about my parents even when I can get to spend time with them on my vacation times of any given year, it just never seems like it's enough ever! Still don't get me wrong  loving them for being my mom and step father are more important than how long of time I do get to visit with them no matter what! After leaving Fargo we were on way to Bismark and we stop for lunch at a 

of course, I did happen to try as hard as I could  to stay on my low sodium diet from a few years ago and I will tell you I do always start out well, and at least I'm happy with who I AM in the end of every meal I do consume much like I am about those I love so much it all matters to my inner being as to why I respect you the reader of this even through we may never meet(?)  As for one stop before even reaching Bismark here we stopped in a small town named Jamestown.......we had happen to stop here because of one or more BIGGEST reasons in the whole wide world.....that being of course to see the world's largest  or rather BIGGEST BUFFALO 
 










 
 please correct me if I am wrong but I could of sworn I had promise everyone a photo of me Matt picking the BIG GUY'S well I know what I said as much as you do, but first I do have to say at this at this museum

 dedicated to this great animal seen here I very heavy considered getting a buffalo key chain for a problem I've had since coming out here to the Midwest to begin with....?  finally after chatting with the shop keep person we went outside to catch a glimpse of the most important baby buffalo that was born in two thousand and two. Here I am standing by the sign after trying to find it behind me 

and it ended up I just and my folks as well couldn't find it anywhere! Yeah I know I can't forget I tried to pick the nose of the world's BIGGEST BUFFALO and here was my best attempt...... 

Yet as the world can see I failed BIG TIME!

Hey there from...... 
 Now before I can even think of where my folks and I are now in North Dakota, which is in the state capital city of Bismarck, I just can't seem to get a little ditty that goes......"Five hundred miles and something about loving highways I think of finding my way back to you" was by who originally I can't think of the group's name right off of my hand, but it doesn't matter really. It does seem that one very important part of North Dakota is a town known by one name, that very name is also a very old film nowadays I think?, it's know as "FARGO" by the same guys who made the "Raising Arizona" flick that has Nicholas Cage as a ex con who steals a baby with his wife played by Holly Hunter. On our way from Little Falls, Minnesota we drove to a museum gift shop in the heart of Fargo. We had also used this as a quick rest break as well beside it being a vital stop on our tour of the mid west states of Minnesota, North Dakota and finally a place known  for it's richness of something called GOLD, from back in the days of  after the civil war. The Midwestern state I'm of course talking of has the place I wanna see in the title of this set of links, Mount Rushmore..... here in Fargo for just a brief as I said break from  the car ride and here was where we stopped      

or more importantly this was very close to the little museum  is from the highway. What was truly neat about this place is that they actually have a really neat well I can't seem to be able to find the very words I'm looking for to properly describe it so without a bit of shame I took this photo

what I have to prove it, but hey you don't notice anyone famous right well here is one that I did get that is most definitively famous   

 

for sure. I without a doubt can not forgo that across from the sidewalk is this very Colorful 

state animal known as the Bison Buffalo.Remind me  if you all will to show you me Matt trying to pick the nose of the world's largest Bison Buffalo if I don't include it here next time.... before I go however here are just a few pieces from that FARGO film that I must not 

leave out of my stopping in Fargo is all about. And yes my folks and I found out that the television series soon to be released of Fargo also wasn't film here at all it will be filmed in parts of Canada imagine that?

Hello All,
As if I had to let you all in on a little secret right at the moment I'm not in my home town of Richland Washington and also surprise, surprise, I'm away from a place known as work, and will be till the end of time, nah I'm just joshing about that end of time stuff as well or am I? I have in truth through taken leave of my senses and have been planning this adventure that I'm on since the time I was in Canada with my mom Nancy Watson and step dad Chuck Watson, whom I'm glad to say these two people and I have been on some great yet unfinished publication wise Treks of a lifetime. (More views of this year 2014 adventure will lend way to 2013 and 2012 which have some pieces already out......), Still after a grand send off  by my brother Micheal and his family on Friday the tenth of May with some really cool Karaoke bits to make my mother a star in our eyes even more so when she sang with Micheal and his wife Kathie at his old workplace named "WING-STOP" was a hoot, then came the day of these three young ladies  
 









  
BIG PARTIES. Then even after that fun array of "Done It Right, Justice" we all headed over to the town of Maple Grove's 

community pool. So you'd  think that I and those kids Merri that includes you and Ken in my book as well should have been dog gone wiped out........ Still as I was saying yesterday I had spent a night with all of those kids and love it for everything it was worth......? for in a sense I felt like a kid again myself  just chatting with Nathaniel about his type of books he likes to reads in fact here he is from yesterday trying to find out 

about Wolverine's history with the incredible hulk.That was from  my graphic novel of X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST that I had mentioned that I took as reading material in my carry on, which also included his older sister Petra taking a peek as well. Also here are just a couple more extra ones from yesterday that I thought I'd just share of before we are where I start in on today's bit of the ongoing adventure. The first one is most important because it actually has a neat back story to it:  

 Here is Merri's oldest child Portia, with her youngest sister Autumn Rose which means even though I may not ever be able recite everyone of my many nieces  and nephews by exact date of birth and age (for I will admit I too, am capable of mistakes at times), I happen to have one of the most exciting images of young youth teaching, yet learning that I could ever behold. Merri by the way has all of her children in Minnesota's 4-H club and each kids learns something that they can and do apply to their everyday lives, Portia's main talent that she learn well is singing and I wish I could put up a wonderful five minute video of her singing a song of a French girl her age finding love, she sang it in French as well, but I can't upload it here on Blogger because videos can't be longer than two minutes in length according to the site's rules! This second image I want to share with you all is this: 

Remember yesterday last photo I shared, with Poppi and almost all but one of his eight grand daughters being able to pose with him in the very photo? here they all are just about ready before the big moment. Now after leaving Merri's home Mom and Chuck and I drove through the rain boy is it ever nice here in this part of the mid west I'd say from what little I've seen so far 

it's more like Seattle area type of weather for sure! We are at a hotel in Little Falls Minnesota called the Country Inn and here is what there check-in area looks like 

and for the first time in a long while I got to experience cable TV for short while I found a series on the SYFY called "WARE HOUSE 13" and even though I saw my only episode of it, I can say I do like a lot of the characters in it. Also knowing it ended maybe from watching that one episode I will watch it on Netflicks or something for it did seem really neat. After a good night of resting we went to go and see in that town the mighty Mississippi river 

and how it was that miners back a century ago built the damn 


to keep their corner of it for mining gold and bringing goods of other trades to Minnesota. Yet before leaving Minnesota all together we had to stop and get some gas for the car and on the way to  finding a gas station I had seen a road sign talking of a cool metal sculpture park so before getting some fuel for the car we went through it and here are the things we viewed 

 











 











 











 

 
Pretty neat huh? , so what in tar nation or should that be steel nation is this place known as well here is it's name at the gas station 

,where we got the gas that I was saying the car needed. There at the gas station I had gotten some snacks that till I even got all the way back home to Richland did I even think of consuming them. Tomorrow I'll tell you what they were!

Off to a place known as Mount Rushmore, EVEntually..........pt. III of X

Hello again from the Midwest tour of Matt Byrd's 2014 time out stops from his workplace known better as Albertsons,

Well after all the fun of getting to see parts of my family that I haven't been able to see forever, yesterday and 

 

 

all that playing in the Harvest Grove community swimming pool 

 

were fun, yeah for sure! Yet the fun wasn't anywhere near done with the Mickelson kids at all, in fact while we were finishing up our time swimming was the first that I had heard from the kids themselves that they all wanted me to spend time with them at their house in Morrill, Minnesota which is a good two and half hour drive out from the twin cites area. So last night, with all of them I saw the movie "FROZEN" since I only saw Olaf's summer song part of the film on a lab top through a phone connection thank you Portia for finding the clip while your dad hooked up the sound system at the party. I just couldn't believe your (my brother Michael Byrd wasn't there to help with that...) I know he'd just say "it's your vacation time not mine, brother although I would love to go if I could with my family, too." Now here this morning as we at the Mickelson family home are waiting for Mimi and Poppi for some readers to get here from the Harvest Grove hotel called Cambria suites.... I was treated to the history of knowing of the Mickelson kids greatest foray into creativity it is known as "DARKNESS PARTY" which Portia told me she got the idea from some friends of hers when she was thirteen years old and back then the Mickelson family lived in Hillman, Minnesota. They do it two times a year and since they now live with woods behind their house it is even more effective than ever or so I have been told? It was Portia , KylaMay , JoyAlaia, RavenLeigh, Autumn Rose and their brother Nathaniel all showed me the old lady's kitchen seen here 

and other parts of their personal woods of play while I walked their dog named Jacks. We then had Mimi (Nancy Watson, my mother) and Poppi (Chuck Watson, my step dad) eventually come to make slaw dogs. What are "Slaw Dogs, huh?" I'll tell you that they are hot dogs covered in chili and coleslaw and all the kids loved them, for Mimi made them. Poppi had brought his extra suitcase

full of gifts from Cuenca, Ecuador the kids all enjoyed everything, he gave them. We played a game of "Apples for Apples" that is kinda like charades, where one player gives the others a topic to figure out what the answers are then the other players try and put out their best answers from the cards they are holding.....it was fun because the game is for up to four to eight players at a time so since there were thirteen of us playing the game. We played in groups of threes and did it ever get silly, oh heck yes it was that for sure! Before we left Merri and the children Bethany Pagie and her sister Petra showed off their 

 

"DARKNESS PARTY  costumes" to us their guests. One last thing before we went on to the next part of my vacation to Mount Rushmore Poppi was able  to have this great 

 photo op with seven of his eight granddaughters just how cool is that? for he could use it as his Facebook wall picture or something even cooler I don't know of, but he and my mom will have it for sure as their computer screen saver I'm just hoping anyway?

Off to a place known as Mount Rushmore, EVentually........pt II. of X

Hello all,
                 Well so how is everyone, doing for this fine Sunday evening? for many of you it is just the end of the weekend and you'll have to return to whatever you nick name your workplace...... if your my young ripe age of four hundred and twenty years young, but of course I Matt Byrd am not really that old in life, still a joker none the less, I am really forty two if you know by these words that I the writer are meant to be the truth. You know that from the past two entries I am now on my yearly vacation for this year, and after last night's dinner with my mom and Chuck at the place seen here

 

in the small town near Minneapolis, Minnesota, called Harvest Grove, we all had a little something different to eat at CHIPOTLE which as far as I know is a mid western chain of restaurants. I had a steak burrito, while my mom had  salad and Chuck had a different topping burrito than me. It was as you can tell 

really good. Still last if my mom wasn't resting in the wee early evening we would of had dinner with Merri's second child Paris away from her high school campus......but all well, today is a new day, and yet when I woke up this morning I knew I had forgotten something for one the three kids having a party today at Paris school which is called Perpich high seen here.

      

what I forgot was a birthday card for one them while for Portia I had also a long awaiting gift of Albertsons old card you had to have to get savings as a shopper. So we went over to "Target" which for anyone reading this wants to know Target stores originated in Minnesota and the one that was closet to us was just across the street from where we were staying.We all went in while I got a card from there for Kayla Mae and I got a pair of BIC writing pens as well, we then headed out for Perpich high school which was about a half hour drive. When we got there we had expect Paris to be our greeter on school grounds, but instead it was Merri's oldest Portia who showed us the way to the party room and Nathaniel open the doors since the front was in need of repair. This was one of three most important things I had planned for this very trip seeing family that I hadn't last seen since two thousand and two, so this a very special treat for sure! There were three themes going on at once a "AVENGERS", "FROZEN", and finally a "LORD OF THE RINGS", I was Raven Lee's Olaf  

snowman from "FROZEN", she is the one sitting in stripped shirt. Here are the three party 

 

girls with their cakes Kayla Mae, Raven Lee, and Paige with their Avenging brother Nathaniel beside Kayla Mae and all those kids are watched over by Joshua. While everyone was cleaning up after the party I was granted a outside tour of the school by Portia and Kayla Mae and Nathaniel Here is Portia showing me 

,some art on the wall of the arts building. They also showed me these two sided other art walls

Portia when she was going to school here, was on one of these walls with her guitar for her senior photo and if you look hard enough you'll find it in this blog somewhere like her birthday month. We were playing on the swings till when Merri and Ken brought their van around to take us to Harvest Grove's community swimming pool where Chuck and I besides Ken and Merri were swimming for at least two and half hours. And here is my actual only photo
