It's time for more Friday nights Duke style, and even though I'm on vacation right now, I can't leave you with nothing all to enjoy.....Hey there are you a Dead or what?
Here on tonight's episode of The Dukes of Hazzard we get to see the Dukes boys car known as the General Lee rise from the dead! Say What?, see even right here
it is glowing to life as it scares the Bee gee out of Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, and just who are Bill and Ernie and why are they keeping Bo and Luke in corpus land? All these are good questions to say the least. So here is the gist of the episode titled "THE GHOST OF General Lee" The good ol boys Bo and Luke are testing their latest improvement on their stock car when Rosco spots them and the chase as always is on! Rosco C.B. Enos Straight his deputy to cut off the boys at nine elven and the county line, of course Enos is over by Snake nation road and is the connection is all jarred between them, So Luke fools The sheriff with his imitation of the deputy and results in their getting away while Rosco and Enos slam into one another. Meanwhile two pool hustlers named Bill and Ernie are toss out of a adjoining county of the state of Georgia known as SweetWater. While Luke and Bo are cooling off by skinny dipping their car is stolen right out from under them as they watch Bil and Ernie zoom away. As soon as Ernie and Bill realize to where they don't wanna get caught they find sheriff Rosco Coltrane on their tail and take the Dukes car into old river road pound. Thinking that Bo and Luke are dead the county commissioner Boss Hogg comfort the other two Dukes of the family Jess & Daisy with a lie that they boys just stole his namesake's Jefferson Davis Hogg's watch that we see him with all the time. Bo and Luke are walking all over Hazzad looking for something to wear Until they come to their own farm they find out something must be wrong since Daisy has the whole load of washed clothes on the line to dry. After getting the General back from the sewage plant and are fixing it up do the boys plan to come back from the afterlife........Now though Bill and Ernie know of where Boss has put this watch he was so concerned about and plan to reap it for themselves. The boys smuggle their car into the above scene of the police garage and scare the holly shakes out of Rosco and Enos,and drive their car right through Hazzad but not in the driver seat and they spook Boss as well. After trying to crack the safe of Hogg's the hustlers Bill and Ernie lead everyone in Hazzad through SweetWater county and are caught before getting Boss's valuable gold chain watch or going to where they wanted in the first place Cotton Dale Georgia to swindle more people out the their hard earned money.
The Best lines of this episode are from Waylon Jennings "Aren't You glad Bo and Luke don't direct traffic at the airport...." and Boss Hogg's line to Rosco "About being a Bone Specialist" are just classic in and of themselves.
