Spider-Man verus pt.II The loser type of love lane, But why oh why?

Hey all,
I know that I have talked about Peter Parker's love live a few times before in the monthly comic book that was started in February nineteen sixty two with Amazing Fantasy #15. Then because the character wa
s so great in sales nine months later he was granted his own title known as the Amazing Spider-Man, which is of course still running today forty some odd years later. I want to compare the two Spider-Man histories to see what I and you think should be the current way the character should be? Now please recall that the newspaper strip didn't start till 1/3/77 so maybe I'm just outta whack but please go with me on this and lets solve if rather Mr. Parker should be Married or single? In the comic universe before meeting Mary Jane Watson, Stan had one other definite gal he wanted Parker to hook up with Gwen Stacy

but did you know Stan had to other possible love interest for his little wall crawler as well in high school friend Liz Allen.
She was first in all honestly the only girl Peter liked in a loving way from his high school days at Midtown High. Also in the comicverse there was the secretary that works with him at the Daily Bulge Betty Brant. Of course even in the very beginnings of newspaper strip Betty was and has been the only girl from the comics to transfer over with MJ to that medium. Also from day one in that form of Spidey's world Mary Jane has been the main love out looking love type, but NOT the only one. In the early days of the newspaper strip for a while Mary Jane was with Kraven the hunter, while Peter filled his time up with working at the Bulge and going to collage where one day in the Library he meets Carole & Tana. We come to find out that Tana is the daughter of a terrorist as we read the strip. And Carole is like able like Allen or Brant is in the comics. Yet our little web head likes the bad one with out even knowing it. As seen here when offer a teaching job,
(there is another posting right there more on that later.) Please remember this is from the first volume of Spider-Man newspaper strips, where I got these but as the series grew because this only covers the first two years. As the newspaper strip grew so did Parker's relationships with other female companions since Mary Jane was off modeling or trying to be a actress most of that given time. She also did this in the monthly comics as well, and you all know what had happen to poor Gwen in the comics, she died at the hand of the Green Goblin. So Marvel started bringing new female characters in the comic books to rival Mary Jane's absent for a long time, most noticeably the black cat. The characters weren't involved with one another of Peter Parker or Mary Jane in the dating scene at all in the year 1987 in the monthly comics. Lee had decided it was time for his "Charlie Brown" to settle down with his woman known as Mary Jane Watson, so he wanted the two trying in together of the storyline of the monthly comics and his daily newspaper strip. Which worked fine till editor in chief Joe Queasda comes along to reboot Marvel out of some low woes. At first Queasda see nothing wrong with the Marriage of the Parkers. After the event known as CIVIL WAR which can be read about in a upcoming posting titled "What got me into reading comics again, is a little book known as "CIVIL WAR". So after twenty one years of being married Queasda bring out "One More Day" which becomes the most hated Spidey story ever. Stan Lee follows suit with the newspaper strip starting with this very strip on

January 1st 2009 with a single Peter Parker living with Aunt May instead him being married to his True Love MJ. Boy did the fans go through the roof ya bet your web shooters they did. And after all the holing Stan made things so much better for the true believers of Spidey fandom. While the monthly comics continue to sink in greater numbers every time one comes out. So whom is better a Parker that is a married one or a single one here's my own answer: The writer you like best. "oh just so you all know it has taken Queasda two whole years to get out a story called O.M.I.T. which stands for (One. Moment. In. Time.)" will it continue to sink Marvel's flagship character into the ground. Probably...Who really knows?
