HEY ALL,
I know that the very Color scheme may seem hard to follow, but I do promise it will all make sense very soon. What was it about that colorful sentence that could possibly be about Any moment in life being like a jigsaw piece of a puzzle?, Well for this time of year it relates to the end of old for everyone who is young and the start of something new in life. And those three colors represent the main color schemes of Richland Washington two high schools Handford High and Richland High. This upcoming weekend is graduation for all high school seniors, this brings me to thinking back to my own years in high school I was just talking last night to a Albretson's employee who is graduating this weekend whom is moving into the real world from Richland High I also happen to know a few other young people getting into the real world from that school as well. Myself I am a Falconer NOT a Bomber I graduated from Handford and with that being said I'd like to take a trip down memory lane and show you all a surprise for sure from the class of 1991, that will wow you! Here is that class yearbook from those days. 
A pretty neat cover to a year that had a goof up in the seniors section of all things, but at least it holds great memories for those who can overlook things such as that? I have to say I enjoyed my moments of that part of my jigsaw puzzle piece of life. Why because I will never ever forget all the friends I made in my life at that four year part of it. Boy did I have any friends I'd say "Nah, not with the most friendly attitude and most talkative awards bestow on me at the award of "91" class banquet no not little ol Matt here" I remember that I had not only my family and local friends attend my graduation I also had my friend from the state of Maryland whom I met few years earlier at the high school I attended there in Gaitherburg called Wooten high school at that time he was a Junior and I was a freshman 
his name is Chan Hu and yes we are still good friends till this day. I remember my step sister Merri & my grand mother Evelin"Ebby"Powers played a grand trick on me on graduation night with my class robe, see boys of Handford high school always wear purple the girls yellow to represent gold, well any way I don't know where they got one but they had gotten hold of a Richland bomber's boy robe which are of course Green in color and for girls it like it is at Handford the color scheme is the same with yellow for gold, Merri had said that there was a problem with my class robe when she pulled it from the washing machine and I remember thinking "Oh great what it torn it to pieces right" she said "No not really anything like that or she wished it had been that but it turned it Green I freaked of course thinking I be the only oddball in the class of "91" but then my grandma pulled out my real purple one.
I'm finally ready after a lot of joking around by my family for my big moment to being ready for my moment to graduate from Handford high. 
Here is my brother Micheal as I'm receiving my diploma on the stage during the ceremony he and my sister Kylie were also part the event by being in the school jazz and choir classes.
I want to take a slight stray from the high school memories for a moment and talk about more "Any Moment in life is like a jigsaw piece of a puzzle" and how I came up with that name don't worry there are more photos ahead as well. As I mention earlier I was talking yesterday to my fellow Alby coworker after she had asked me while I was getting my last round of carts before leaving for the day "That she had something she wanted me to see. I said "Okay I'll be there in the break room in a few minutes.."As I was punching out on the time clock she said "Hey Matt your in our yearbook at Ricland High" she had it open to the
page she wanted to show me. I then asked if she wanted me to "sign it", if she wanted me to. Laurel said that would be great I then said I be back before she got off from work. Now what I meant by the very title of this blog is all parts of our lives are moments to cherish it always will start with our births which is the very first piece of everything in anything we do any when one dumps a jigsaw puzzle onto a table or where ever your putting it together, some people do it on a wood floor my point is when putting a puzzle together which piece does one start with? the answer is a corner piece and then you build the rest of the boarder before you put any inside pieces into the middle of the puzzle right. What I'm saying is everything we do with our lives is a piece of a puzzle and it doesn't really matter if we do something wrong because we will always know of that piece of the puzzle more than any other. High school graduation is just one of those many pieces and of course we all know what the last Jigsaw piece of every puzzle of life is. So later last night I went back to sign Laurel's yearbook I had to wait a few minutes till she came to the break room again so as I waited I was reading my latest read see the post under this one. I went back while thinking of how I was going to put this together and besides just talking about high school graduation and sharing pictures of old of my own from my own days in that moment in my own jigsaw piece of a puzzle in life I realized it had been a while since I last look at my own yearbook pictures, 
Now can you find me or not as I said I hadn't looked at this in forever so I even found a surprise myself you want to know what it was I had hair or at least a lot more than I do now I knew I was thinning on top always because of it being in my family genes. I have to say I almost forgot to mention at the awards banquet of the class of "91" for Handford I got a third award and this one really surprised even me at least back then it did but can see why now it was bestowed on to me it was for guys "the Most inspirational" and with what I wrote in words as my remembrance of me to all of the class I would have to agree whole heartily with that as well. 
So eventually after I had signed Laurel's yearbook I went and looked at some other friends of hers till she got off from work altogether. Here is what I wrote to her 
, I know you can't see it but it was in thought balloons of course Matt: Hey Laurel is this just crazy a fellow worker & Blogger in your HS yearbook, in Laurel's thought balloon I had it say Do I really know this guy?
I have to say sharing these very moments of a high school with all have of you were very worth it to me.

I decided since I have really ever read only one Star Trek novel from pocket books that is the publishing company that puts out the Star Trek novels I figured it won't hurt to try reading some Star Trek after the last book I read which was V The SECOND GENERATION , it is also wonderfully placed right after the series directly ends... I remember a few years ago before finding my new place that my step brother Lyle had gotten this
from when he was working for a short time at Barnes & Nobles for Christmas in 1998 or maybe it was in 2000 I can't recall but it sure is nice to have this poster with all original series novelizations before J.J. Abrams newer take on the series as a whole from two thousand and nine. I have a blog that I'm putting together about the whole Star Trek history that I'm sure any Trek fan will certainly enjoy it will be entitled: "A SCI- FI legend known as STAR TREK" I also remember saying in a past V novel posting of reading this and a DS9 series called the MILLENNIUM trilogy but as I said I just hope these are related to STAR TREK DS9 after all it was my favorite one after the original to me as how the story went.
Hey let me just take a second to ask you what do you know about the history of the star ship named USS Enterprise? or who, are the Borg? and who was the first captain of the Enterprise?, Please will you join me on a tour of A Sci-Fi legend known as STAR TREK......... As everyone knows I am a BIG SCI FI NERD or geek whatever you wish to call me by I'm fine with that. I have loved scenic fiction as I've said before for a very long time, I love it in comic form 
like superheroes, or even a form of cartooning known as Anime my all time favorite is a series from the late seventies to revival a movie series known as simply STAR WARS
and you all know the history of STAR WARS or at least I hope you would in some way or other? So what is the anime that came out around the same time that I was referring to was called STAR BLAZERS. 
It like all science fiction series of the time following a decade earlier were set in someway or other to the format of a science fiction series known as Star Trek. Star Trek when first conceived in the mid sixties by a fellow known as Gene Roddenberry as "A Wagon Train to the stars" as he put it. Who was this guy named Roddenberry and how did his television history come about your wanting to know right? Gene Roddenberry was born in 1921 on August 19th
(GR,B:AUGUST19th,1921-D:OCTOBER 24th,1991) to Eugene Edward Roddenberry & his wife Caroline "Glen" Roddenberry in El Paso Texas. After high school he took courses to be like his father a police officer while completing the courses in 1940 he became interested in aeronautical engineering and obtained a pilot's licensee. In 1941 he enlisted in the United States Army Air corps which in that same year was renamed the United States Army Air Force. He flew eighty nine missions altogether but his first was on a B-17E flying fortress named "Yankee Doodle" from Espiritu Santo, New Hebrides when mechanical failure cause it to crash during take off. He was awarded the Distinguished flying cross when he left the Air force in 1945. He then went to work for three years time for Pan American airways. He then decided to get his foot in the door in the 1950's but while waiting he went on to become a Police officer in Los Angles he wrote some scripts while on the force for "Highway Patrol" and "Have Gun, will Travel" then he left the police force in 1956. After a few years of being a freelance writer Gene in 1960 tried his first attempt at creating his own work called APO923 but no network would buy it. His second attempt worked only shorty but got his foot into Hollywood it was a series called "THE LIEUTENANT" (Which by the way on Memorial day weekend at Best Buy I saw on DVD), it was set in the Untied States Marine Corps with future Star Trek star Nichelle Nichols in the first episode that was in 1963.
Roddenberry developed Star Trek in 1964 thinking it as a combination of science fiction series like Buck Rogers
and
Flash Gordon. The first Pilot of Star Trek was called
"THE CAGE", it was about a space ship and her crew the ship was known as a earth vessel called the Enterprise.
It was on it's way back from Rigel VII to Vega Colony to get the personnel who were mortally wounded help, and to replace those who had been lost during whatever had happen on the planet, this had distributed the ship's commanding officer Christoper Pike when it
received a call for help from human scientists on a class-M planet known as Talos IV. When they arrived on the planet's surface they learned it had been devastated centuries ago by nuclear war and the captain Christopher Pike was captured by the inhabiting race of that world known as the Talosians. 
The Talosians were a race that could only communicate by telepathy and they had a human female named Vina who was the only survivor 
of the S.S. Columbia expedition which crashed on Talos IV in 2236. The Talosians put out a distress call into outer space as bait for any spacecraft passing into their solar system for an experiment. Christoper Pike not knowing of what the experiment was surprised when he sees in his holding cell Vina herself with him and was now even more confused by the Talosians thought process why would they want him or anyone from his ship to help them and what was it they were wanting perplexed him. Still the crew of the Enterprise never gave up on trying to get Pike back they used their phasers 
to try to blast the rocky cliff where they see one of the Talosians taking an unconscious Pike to who knew where? on this very strange planet. As these tests that the Talosians were using on Pike were conducted Pike learned one thing that whatever the test was the girl known as Vina was with him each time.
The first test was from on the last planet the ship was at known as Rigel VII where Pike had to protect her during a fight with a violent war like beast as she ran towards 
this castle. When Pike had killed the attacking beast he had realized he was still in the cell of the Talosians with Vina as he started thinking of how to get answers from questions from Vina she was gone , and standing in front of him was a Talosian wanting to offer him nourishment. Yet when Pike refused to cooperate in consuming his nourishment he 
was punished. Meanwhile above the planet on the Enterprise the crew was trying to think of a way to get the captain back, when Mister Spock suggested that buzzing around on the planet's surface may cause more harmful to both their commanding officer and the ship they still decided to chance it. So with a very powerful laser cannon known as 
a energy weapon they tired blasting the mountain cliff of where these aliens held their captain.By this time Pike had given up trying to talk his way out of escaping (although that wasn't really his intentions) he talk about a Husband and wife type relationship with the Talosian who had just punished him, come to find out he next
sees Vina and his horse Tango in his place of home Mojave. The Talosians had finally realized themselves that human thoughts belie even a human's own thoughts and decided to see how Pike would realize this too by preforming one last test for this man Vina had wanted as her "ADAM". The next test was one of seduction/temptation by the Talosians in which Vina
was a Orion slave girl, Pike finally realized that these aliens had him where they wanted him to start a race of human beings with this girl from a crashed ship from eighteen years ago. The Enterprise was getting ready to beam down a landing party to once again try to find the captain only when the transporter chiefs tired to send the party of six down, 
only two left the ship the captain's yeoman and the first officer. When Vina sees the other two females she protested that it be her as Pike's choice, there happens to be a very funny line between Vina and the First officer (more on that next time...). The crew of the Enterprise prepares to take the ship outta Talos IV orbit, when Pike catches one of the 
Talosian, trying to kill the two new females?, to assure that they have a human male to make human salves to make machines to help the Talosian race thrive once more. When Pike fights the Talosian in a form of a alien ape, the alien says he or any of the other Talosians can make the crew of the Enterprise press "ANY" wrong button and blow up the space vessel without knowing it, Vina confirms that the Talosian isn't at all lying, this is when Pike fires one of the phaser's of the other two captured officers at their holding cell
only to see that the Talosian was still trying to keep at least Pike to bring their plans to fruition, when Pike threaten to blast his head off the alien revealed what the Phaser had truly done. All of them head to the planet's surface ready to leave the planet for good, when the first officer notices that everything seems to be an illusion where they exit to the surface and the Talosian pleads one last time for Pike to remain when the other Talosians appears to tell him that they must all die from the star ship, the first officer sets her phaser to explode since death is the only way out, realizing this the Talosians let the Enterprise crew go since they are so fearful/resistance to being controlled at all. Pike invites Vina to come with them back to the ship when she refuses he still doesn't understand till her form changes completely to the way 
,the Talosians tried to fix this young woman from eighteen years ago. Pike finally realizes what Vina had wanted all along and ask the aliens to give her back her youth, which they do and more with a illusion of himself at her side. Then the ship continues on to the Vega colony to help it's injured personnel from Rigel VII. So did the networks get what was promised them a Space western?, NOT AT ALL, but at least one of the heads of the network saw something that made it worthy of maybe a second chance! Was Gene ready if a another such chance did present itself?, truly only time could tell.......

Hey LOST Fans,As we all know Tonight's the Ultimate end to our little saga known as LOST, it starts at seven with a series overview up till season six. Then at eight a recap of everything in season six related till nine O'clock when then series finale starts and runs for two and half hours, but even then it's NOT OVER because then the LOST cast will appear on a very special Jimmy Kimmell Live. Oh I think that I forgot something about LOST what was it now?, Ah yes last night ABC network showed the LOST pilot of how it all began. 
I'm sure most LOST fans know who this guy is and if you don't he's known as Jack Shepard one of the main Oceanic 815 flight survivors that as we have come to know much like the bible's Gideon. Whom through most of this only wanted to get off the Island that he and his fellow survivors where brought to for a purpose. (That 's Jack not Gideon) Gideon rescued GOD's people from Midian. It took quite a while for both men to understand what they are meant to do? for each continued to question in some way till the end.
Any way yesterday I was so antsy about wanting a LOST T-shirt for tonight's last hooray of the series end, so I went out to Columbia Center to try to find a any. I went to every clothing store there and nothing was to be found. I instead decided that since I was out at the center to go see IRON MAN 2. 
It was my reward to myself for never finding a LOST T- shirt but before I started this very blog I went surfing on the internet for something LOST related since it's what I wanted to hopefully wear for tonight's gala of the LOST series as a whole and here's what I found of sorts. I found this Dharma shirt
, which truly is very funny in a way because before I left for Cuenca Ecuador I saw a Albertson's customer with a red SWAN hatch one on and had gotten me to wanting one I guess? Then I found on a site a LOST actuation going on for series props and found a DHARMA RUM bottle that sawyer & Juliet were sharing at the end of season four. 
I then went to the ABC.com web store, yes the network has it's own website, well don't you (sorry about that, I meant by choice for you the reader) here are just a few things I found there to remember the LOST series. A few bobble heads
that will be out in August. A Drive Shaft ring
of Charlie's two man band of his brother and himself made off the Island. (points to you if you can recall what his song was he sung on the Island). And yes I found numerous LOST, T shirts as well here the best for any TRUE LOST FAN I believe don't you
