So with there being only seventeen more days til episode VII.......

Hello Star Wars fans the world over,
 As I sit here writing these very words to talk of the newest Star Wars film called Star Wars VII THE FORCE AWAKENS which opens in seventeen more days from today I happen to be listening to the John Williams Star Wars episode III Revenge of the Sith soundtrack on compact disc. What I want to share with you all is that like a whole lot of you I'm really super excited for the new story to see what and where the new director J.J. Abrams who has have some great trails in both television and movie projects before this outing into universal playground of George Lucas baby. I know that what I'm planing on doing till the eighteenth of this month is go build myself up to the new one by watching everything before it from the hard to watch prequels to the original trilogy of "A NEW HOPE" through to "RETURN OF THE JEDI". Yet I'm also going to be watching everything that J.J. has done that I have both television and movie wise and this upcoming weekend I will pullout my many Star Wars novels that I wish to read that I feel will fill in the heart of the gap till The Force Awakens release so as a friend of mine says I"'m going be a busy boy for sure" You know who it is I'm quoting my own friend with the same initials as mister Abrams.... I'm sure that most you know who it is I'm talking of! I will be for sure re awaking Star Wars for myself in more than just by reading and re watching the movies as to what it will include for sure even I  Matt Byrd   has to wait and truly see?
           One thing for sure that as you as my reading audience can be sure of is one thing you will get a very big question from me answered that you have always been wondering  about relating to my love of science fiction in a BIG WAY! Now on to more pressing matters of our games that we may have on this very site. I am of course referring to the ever loving chess match ups that I just added on at the beginning of this year, so who would win between Kylo Ren in a  light saber 

      :match up with this fellow seen here, known as Finn. In truth we all know that in the matter of Star Wars storytelling for films it is always the DARKSIDE of the force that keeps the story flowing, till at least when the LIGHTSIDE needs to find a new way to let the force flow through a trainee, whom will come to be a Jedi. So my pick for the winner of this Saber Wars is Ren. So who is the chess match going to be between for next month I will say this for the players I think it shall be a reflection of the little guy seen here

The only thing that I can say is that this is battle will be called "Reflection of Self."

As to the reason for the background of site's plate design for last month of Luke's head in Vader's mask 

, from when he went into the cave on Dagobha and fought "His only fear"which of course came close at the end of episode V when Vader cut off his right hand among other things.... but a lot of Star Wars fans are speculating on the web that Luke Skywalker has fallen to the DARKSIDE and is of course Kylo himself....for me though I just want to see what happens as it transpires in the newest films. Why being thankful is always important this very day

Hello ALL,
     I do hope that everyone around the whole wide world that are celebrating Thanksgiving are doing so with truthfully heart felt moments of being with not only your families and closer family friends of friends, but that you are giving praise for everything that has happen for your life this past year up until now. What I'm hoping that will come out of today is a time of rest for everyone that has a family or no one at all standing by their side in life. I'm talking of people who are homeless or have been judged by family need to have someone stand by their side with respect, for today is a lot more meaningful than just thinking of ourselves and the little thing known as tackle football before the big meal or after, it's about being humble in all walks of life and thanking not only our human parents for giving us this grand journey known as life but God as well. Now before my brother came to get me today I took some really interesting photo of myself as you can see here. 

 

































I was of course going for being all out goofy or silly to my own take of being the incredible hulk in my own style pretty neat huh? My sister in law Kathie made some mash potatoes after we got to their house because last year I said it was the one thing missing that I really wished we had at her parents place, while this was going on I watched a couple of cartoon series on their Netflik one was the classic just after I was born Star Trek the animated Series and the other as if you needed to guess was Star Was Attack of the Clones animated series I started both from their pilot episodes. When we went to Kathie's parents house we did as we always do sat an chatted for a few moments and then sat around the "L" shaped table seen here 

We of course all had some of what we all liked, and after a quick prayer to God for his love to all of us went and dug into even more good stories and filling our bellies with great food. In fact here is what my own plate had on

it, then we spent at least another couple of hours before we even dared go out to the super early BLACK FRIDAY sales at this store

 in Kennwick, yet all that we really did was just scope out how crazy it was, and man was it crazy alright but still it seemed rather lite shoppers were out because it wasn't midnight on Friday when all things just go all out mad. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

   

Why comics are always Awesome!

Hello Comic Collectors near and far...............
   Well before I get into the heart of the heat of this lifetime of a battle of why comics of every kind matter I want  you all see my Facebook profile as I have it right now I have this photo of myself and my hero of comics  Spider-Man 

 with me in a headlock when I was six years old, and this from Amazing Spider-Man volume 1 # 306 when Peter was promoting his self titled coffee table book "WEBS" that were photos he was making a small bit of moo la 

when his wife Mary Jane reminds him of why it's great to be a nerd even if you know you are.So how is it when we are kids we love toys of all kinds from action figures to footballs or even books with colorful characters that are both like us even if they have that something extra special about them. Oh and for girls I don't mean to leave out Barbie dolls or that neat homemade gifts from our grandparents who always love us no matter what we aspire to be in life. Some of us who love the characters of comic books may take it over the top for we see our own take of enjoying our friends and their supporting cast grow with us, yet to have when  the companies who make the product go and make a wipe of what comic fans have always known to please who it is that is in command is very much a two way crossroad of who will like what they are making. Yet at the same time there are given times when comic companies will find the way to make you like them even if you have put them out to pasture for as a true fan for some reason or other you feel lost in knowing your own inner nerd part of yourself. I know that when I write my reviews  of my comics that I'm reading (for which I have yet to come up with a yearly review for 2015, so if your willing to toss out names of any kind I'm ready for suggestions, thank you). The things we as fans of  comics of any kind have to remember is we can create our own stories of the many fictional heroes that are out there we don't have to be stuck  with what the big dogs or whatever names you want to use when talking of the many comic publishers oh and if you think your only a a fan because of movies and merchandising that is okay as well, just remember without a doubt a comic book can contain anything in it from drama, comedy, to a love story  to a fantastic adventure of  the exploration of the human condition of  what's really neat of what ever you want to think of. Still as I say if you go and walk into writing anything not just comic books be ready for both the horrible distaste as much as the ground breaking worshiping praise from everywhere. Here is  in fact every one to look at all of the created characters I'm guessing from  Superman to

the most independent comic character known as Spawn . The one thing I would love to wish you is to have the greatest bit of fun in whatever series your currently devouring with a inner smile that your investing hope for many people including yourself!         

Even though it's been five years....

Hello All,
   Today is a very rough day every year for me on this date. I know that I don't really let it be known that today was the day my own father Micheal Joe Byrd passed away from Parkinson's disease. It is never easy when you lose someone that means so very much to us as the truly simple beings we are which is human, I know that when we are hurting from such a loss we at times think "I just don't know what I can do to be myself again, yet our creator of whatever we want HIM to be known as to each of us does gives us hope and reason to go on in this journey called life, at first to us that do hurt don't realize or see it" because we are still grieving for not only ourselves and our family members who knew of them, for the loss one's friends outside of family as well. I know that even though I didn't always say it to him I loved my dad because he was kind enough to create myself, my brother Micheal and my sister Kylie with his lovely wife Nancy Powers Byrd. I think and know that all of those other three persons I just mentioned and two others named Chuck Watson and Merri Mickleson can understand where it is I'm trying to come from with these very words that I'm writing right now.

As I have said before in the past I know that my dad loved me even when he didn't know how to say it he tried from his soul of when talking to me his eldest son, and even when times were hard for him I think he knew that I Raymond Matthew Byrd loved him  with more than any words can express for sure. The sure thing that I know for sure is that he wanted to know that his kids could take care of themselves as best we can and "Yes we are doing the best of what we can with lives many challenges in our own ways" is what I would say to him if he were still here on earth right at this moment. Still I know saying this is hard yet very true I still miss you dad even though you have been away for a long while I still know that I love you no matter what.

Hello to all who were being other selves last night,
  Okay is the title wrong for this one, well I think the answer could go either way depending on how we look at what yesterday was which was Halloween, which is meant to be both scary and fun for all who love treats as much as we do tricks.  The actual meaning of Halloween comes from like everything in a way stories that are told to us to hopefully keep us sleeping the good sleep, although
we do try to do something very special within each yarn we tell, for example we throw in action to offset the romance of a story and then we toss in for good measure some drama in the pacing of a yarn that's when we tell normal stories. When tell frightening ones we throw in anything spooky so that by the end of it we jump out of our skins.This is just one of many of my personal ways or view of understanding Halloween in the modern age, yet the meaning of the candy grabbing holiday is richer than just what  I know of it to be. 


      For example the internet says Halloween was first celebrated  as far back as the sixteenth century in other parts of the world , according to WikiPedia, the being someone else part goes that far back. Still besides getting candy for kids which the night is meant to be for elementary school have classroom parties one such game that is played at these school parties is bobbing for apples. Mainly for adult that love the given night known as Halloween have parties with making their houses into a place a ghost of Casper's nature won't tread by not only having a scary graveyard outside the house but also maybe have scary music such as Micheal Jackson's nineteen eighty one classic "THRILLER" is played is enough to frighten a whole lot of us that love "THE MONSTER MASH" , well for myself I love Halloween not only because it is a day to be someone else but also to me I feel that we all need not just a shock of a frightfully good night of guessing who is who under our disguises I think Halloween helps us to know that we don't need to be afraid of the dark.       Now just so all of my readers know this year I wasn't able to find one of this character to pose with the one and only

Super Girl this year because in the end for this year besides having the coolest Spider-Man costume around I also got to have Chuck Watson my step father come for a day and it was without a doubt very awesome 

indeed. In fact we all had something rather yummy for our tummies at Casa Mia where we had dinner last night,after I had taken Cannon seen here with his friend Jackson

 out Trick Or Treating for a little while of time. Now we have two great chess matches two resolve for this month one is of comic book foes the Green Goblin versus Joker and since both of these vile persons ave hurt Mister Wayne and Mister Parker where it hurts them on their emotional souls yet the respected heroes Spider-Man and Batman keep fighting the forces of corruptness I would have to say that for this match 

of wits is at a standstill. The other more justified chess match for the month of October was this if you recall Victor Frankenstein's monster against the Wizard of Oz's evil wicked Witch of the west. Now with the results being of who scarred me the most growing up it was Dorthy Gale's dog napping foe of Toto who in OZ was the witch 

was who wins this match and you all can understand why! As for the whose stronger in the way of battle for the month of November 2015 I am going say the players are from  the forth coming Star Wars movie opening sometime next month in theaters worldwide. Here are the combatants Kylo Ren

(who without a doubt maybe the STAND OUT ORIGINAL CHARACTER of this new trilogy of Star Wars stories I'm thinking?) versus

 Finn whom is a traitor of the long dead Empire, perhaps? All that I can really and truly toss out there as a answer to STAR WARS VII"THE FORCE AWAKENS" bring on the best of the best of your movie career "ALIAS" and "LOST" creator J.J. -Abrams.... I'm sure it will be grand to see a Star Wars   film done after Jedi and countless books of possible futures (that's quite a lot for sure)  I'm wishing you more than gracing luck! Now as to what I had as my other regular game as well for the plate here on the site was this  GLOWING Green eyed Jack ol lantern 

as my choice for this past month of October. And as to what scary horrible thing did I have giving me chills all month long was a Zombie take on He-Man 

and yes I was fueling myself to write good dark tales from it and it worked,very effectvily!             

To the birthday gal known as my mother.

Hello all,
   I can't believe it yet again to the person I call mom has once again reached another milestone of grandness today is when she came into her own journey of living life in a year that I respectively have forged in a place known as a memory laps of time. My mother has been there in first three great kids lives myself , my brother Micheal, and our sister Kyile and I'm sure each of us can recount certain times we three drove mom more than a bit nutty as a cracker growing up. Then as I have said many ways we married into a bigger family in the summer of nineteen eighty five and gained two older siblings Lyle and Merri Watson, because of knowing this man with her seen here 
 









Chuck Watson whom she lives with in a place known Cuecuna, Ecuador but from insider information I have come to know that they are here in the united states and will be here in Richland for a little while in the first week of November. On my most recent vacation time away from Albertsons the all mighty birthday queen gave me a set of pictures from my first trip down to Ecuador that  I had accidentally erased in the later part of 2010 and she when giving me those back ups also gave me some family ones from when she and her brother Norman Powers and her sister Mary Anne Simmons were all growing up and here is the one I found of my mom with one of many birthday cakes 

   in her life that her mother Evelyn may have taken or it could have been her daddy Ben Powers, at any rate in truth the photo is priceless. I'm very glad that my mom choose to share these very memories with me by giving me copies of those rare family moments before I came along. Still speaking of her mother here is one of two great moms together 

before Evelyn went to be with Ben her husband and best friend in December of 2012 in heaven. So mom wherever you and Chuck are right at this very moment on your way from Kyile's place in California or just in the airport waiting for your plane, Happy Birthday to you pretty lady.         

Still waiting to get the funny parts of another book done as I talk of "DH" of Doctor Who

Hello all, 
 Look to tell you all the truth of why I enjoy reading at a very slow pace is really this more than anything I love to get to know all of the little new logy of all of the characters within the story even outside of the main established title character which has the franchised name on the cover of the said book. Now I do have to say as I have before this book of Doctor Who "Dark Horizons" is my very first time of devouring the character on my actual own without being forced to or not, there have been many a times before of where I have talked of other family members jumping into the Tardis, most notably my nephew Cannon seen here as the Doctor

 ,last year on Halloween. My very first exposure to the British Science fiction character in the longest of time was in late summer or early fall of  2012 It was during that very Christmas that I gave my sister in-law Kathie  the comic graphic novel seen 

here. 











As you can seem to tell all in my brother's family seem to like the Matt Smith take on the character. All together there have been twelve actors who played the Time traveling alien that started way back in nineteen sixty three...yes before you go asking he is older than any of the crews of any incarnation of the American series known as Star Trek. Now let me tell you this would have also been a book my step brother Lyle would have devoured as much as I did and here's why for him the tale had Vikings in it as well and I know that Lyle would  probably would have endowed one his many Dungeons and Dragons created characters have Viking abilities to a given short I'm thinking? 

Now for Dark Horizons itself is a wide birth of fun for sure, This take of the Doctor is playing a game of Chess as the Tardis is traveling through space and time he has with him a maiden named Freydis who happens to be a piece of the game board and his companion (or like companion, for ever doctor has one at some point in any doctor who tale) is a fellow  named Henrik whom loves the game as much as the Doctor does. Somehow the piece that is Freydis comes to life in the cupboard that the game is stored in aboard the Tardis as the Doctor and Henrik are fighting some vikings that are chasing them for the game piece known as Freydis. When both the Tardis and the viking vessel end up in twelfth century Scotland waters that seem to have the surface on fire, that is where the science fiction part comes into play rather heavy, besides the Doctor of course......
          The inhabitants of where both that Doctor and the vikings are is never truly named. Still they treat the Doctor and his two companions help them confront the vikings for as with most vikings involved in a story mostly do is take over even if they are the given foils always. So during the course of the many matches of the day that some of the island inhabits are coming to him of stories of loved ones dying  He agrees with them all that something isn't at all right, so he take the Tardis to sea and finds living under the water beings known as Arill whom are an advanced race of electrical matter that has been trying to find a way to a more fruitful world where they can all absorb  flowing electricity and each time they come to water surface they are the earth element of fire and to survive they must interact with a big flowing space of neurological streaming area and the only way the Arill have found is through an human host. The Doctor tells them he will find a way to intercede if he is given time to think of both parties together.  
       What I can say about this from my way of looking at the Doctor character is I get the feeling that much like Star Trek or whatever form of American science  fiction one wishes to hold close to your soul as grand stuff, this isn't bad for fan fiction if I maybe so bold to state. As to what book it is I'm trying to fill in still for those who want to now are the first and second fun bits of this 

seen here. And in the meantime I have found this very time traveling tomb 

to keep me entertained and full of thoughtful insight into anything I'm writing these days! It's called Star Trek From History's Shadow.  

A event that I attend every year or try too!

Hello my god friends,
   Well it is again Saturday, and usually that means I go and make bacon for the HillSpings  church Men ministry get together breakfast. Yet this morning the group of guys that get together are not at the church we are down at Howard Amon park in Richland, helping setting up the event known as "The Buddy Walk". Sure October is a lot more known as Breast Cancer awareness, Yet it is also known as Down Syndrome time as well. My friend Jeremy Johnson and his family take part in the event because of their kiddo 

named Claire. In fact Jeremy for quite a while has been trying to find a way we as the Men's group can help more in community events and this year his loving and caring wife Jessica is on board the volunteer organizing of the Buddy Walk so without a doubt we knew what was happening. The Buddy Walk has for the first time as I know of is taking place over by the Richland community center,which I have to say has been mentioned by me in this very blog for other reasons. The Buddy Walk in it's past has been set up over by the finger nail 

part the park. The thing that I see as most benefice for everyone who is involved is that we all get more than just a great bit of excise relating to the walk itself like seen here of myself and the guys from Hillsprings church 

helping out not just because we should or can....the meaning of the Buddy Walk besides understanding awareness of Down Syndrome from a public view it's about what every darn thing in life is about! What is that your asking huh? simply the answer is to make new friends no matter what for I believe that God made all of HIS CREATIONS have one grand need more than any other besides what we as humans want it to be......and that is understanding that ALL OF US NEED TO BE NOT ONLY LOVED ON WHICH IS NUMBER ONE....WE ALL HAVE TO BE FRIENDS NO MATTER WHAT OUR LOOKS ON Living are.

 Hello All, 
  I happen to have a huge one my dear reader public? What you are asking us a questions it seems so? I will get back to what that very question is in a moment. I just want to let you all know that I plan on keeping you all very scarred  this very month known as the month that both kids of any age enjoy simply because of the very things put into their plastic pumpkins or big designed candy bags to get that very yummy treat known as candy. The very first scary things I'm going be putting out is  "Silent Night pt.1......sometime later today for sure and you  won't be all warm and fuzzy like you are at  Christmas Time mark my words.... most likely you'll be cowering under the covers of your bed! Now as to the main point of this very entry here is what I am having a nit picking time of deciding for the first time since well.......

 

 October thirty first of twenty ten when I tried my best at being one the all time classics of the top three classic scary monsters of Halloween itself I was Dracula and a good one or at least I thought so at the time you be the judge? Then I was the Black suit of the marvel comic character called Spider-Man in twenty eleven. Then after that with my last three costumes as you can tell I put even more love into making them the impressive legends that each were! Yet before I wanna say as of yet I'm stuck on what I want to be this very year but I can say I do have at least one idea in mind maybe with your help I'll be able to think of more than one for one hundred percent insure. Now let get down to real work and see who would and did win in a chess match between Desslok of Gamilon and Papa smurf now remember last month for the most part was blue in text in honor of Lyle my step brother's death back in 2014 on September thirteenth, and according to Lyle I think he would say it is Desslock whom would be the winner in the end. Which brings up for this month whom should the players be for the game I say since we are dealing with dark and vile moves it should be either these two
