Today's my Last Day
Yes that is so very right today was my last day of working at Albertson's, but not in the way your all thinking of. I didn't quit or get fired at at all in fact all that I can say is that trying to get back to MY FORM of NORMALCY of work will be a little hard at first on Monday afternoon when I start at twelve on the dot. For the past two months I have been working the day shift at ABLY's that's my own little nickname for Albertson's. Well at first it was because the store's other main courtesy clerk went on vacation over the moth of December with his wife to see her side of the family, since they hadn't been able to for quite a while before because of a little thing known as life. So of course it wasn't at all hard for me to get into the grove of getting up at six a.m. to be able to be at work at eight. Well a little bit of a small fib there it was a wee bit hard the first two day of the first week of December, my work times allowed me me to get off at three thirty in the afternoon for the first two weeks and I remembered that this series of Star Trek was on my second channel 42, see I don't have cable, but with my tv you'd think I want it for sure right but I'm never home to really watch it ever so an antenna's better known as (Rabbit Ears) suits this young whippersnapper just fine. Also I got to spend a few times getting to see one of my many bus driver friends which had helped me with laughter of joy since my dad's passing. I also got to shop for Christmas presents without being pressed for time, I also got to go to a Christmas event at my church which I probably would have missed if I was working my regular time. At the end of the second week of this month I was already to turn back over the reins but, alas I couldn't just yet for Jose who's the normal morning opener had to be over in produce for a while till a manger for the department could be found for a while there wasn't anyone running the department and as far as I now know on Monday that said manger will be in place and Jose will be back to opening again....I just hope it will be easy for me to fall back into my old routine after such a long break of time I'm pretty sure I won't have it to rough so back to a midday time slot I go.

Ah Enough with the teasing...
So what could I be teasing you all about with hints of here or there over the past couple of months, would it be about my strengths & my failings, well maybe of late you can say such a thing but that's not what I'm getting at, at all. Well what then your inquiring about then huh, I'll give you a clue it has to do with the above panel, of course I'm talking about the very beginnings of the Spidey Newspaper strip. I have been wanting to share these stories by Stan Lee his co creator for a very long time, I had gotten this
back in the end of October two thousand and nine at like I said back then at a comic book shop in north Richland known as "Adventures Underground". I have read only the first two stories in March or maybe it was February of last year, and even though I had been meaning to I just lost track of time of loving Spider-man because of the anti basis against the Peter and Mary Jane Marriage fiasco which Marvel Comics claims NEVER HAD HAPPEN. ( AS to how I feel now about it the whole deal with the devil for Aunt May's soul you can read in other postings let's leave it at that shall we) I want to share with you these tales of Peter Parker in newsprint but I'm undecided as to how I want to start it, for it included in this is a "Original Proposal for the very strip that has as far as I know has NEVER SEEN PRINT....So ol where do I choose from.... I think the best thing is see where you all want me to start and with that I say Please Choose but remember this is only the beginning and as far as I know Volume 2 still hasn't brought up to buy on the world wide web that I know of but when it is available I Matt will be the first in line at the comic store or first to buy it right online...

Something I most definitely should checkout.....
You all know I love my entrainment to be fast paced if nothing else of my type of viewing movies or television shows or as there are also known as if they run for years the "Series". I can even remember this "Something" that I'm talking about today being a rival for this series which you all know I can NEVER
stop talking about because of how enriched in our lives with it's hope for the future. It also rivaled another big franchised science fiction movie of the time known as . Which was the fourth part of a two part set of two trilogies that were much like the old Saturday matinee features before a main picture in the nineteen thirties & forties still even more till the mid nineteen fifties, they were known as shorts. At any rate this series was created by the fellow who came up with this
talking car show in the nineteen eighties. The gentleman's name is Glenn Larson in the late seventies to compete with the Big boys known as Lucas & Roddenberry he came up with a movie of the week television production entitled Battlestar Galactica. This was a lot like Star Trek the original series while it ran in the fall of nineteen seventy nine, in fact it ran for one season which was still even back then composed of 26 hours ( I wish any series running today, was that long at all.) The Series was about these machines known as Cylons that are looking for their place in the vast universe and have to fight humans
led by Loren Greene in fight to save all of humanity. When I was little I passed this little show a couple of times it was paired with Buck Rogers in the 25th century on cable's associated affiliate of our local CBS network KSTW channel 11, I for some reason at the time preferred the latter. I then back in nineteen eighty six saw it again paired with the same show in Columbus Georgia on my aunt's TV but something, I'm not sure what it was but whatever it was wanted me to watch it since I was spending time at her and her husband's house, that year....still I'm not sure if it ever impacted me like other SCI-FI series did at the time.
So come twenty one years later in two thousand and five Chuck, my mother, I, and my step brother Lyle went to Elk River Minnesota via Amtrack train to go and celebrate this little girl named Portia Mickleson's recovery from a childhood form of cancer much like leukemia. Her favorite color is Purple, what young girl doesn't like that color her party was adorned with every thing Purple, well before we left on the Amtrack back to Washington we toured Minnesota for a day and one of our stops was the MALL OF AMERICA one the store I found there was one I knew here at the Columbia Center in Kennwick known as Sun Coast movie house, well at that one I found the
and still on the train ride back I couldn't get into this "NEW TAKE ON Battlestar Galactica, and for some reason like back in nineteen eighty six I was psyched for it still. A few months later in April of two thousand five I finally gave in and watched the whole one hundred and ninety seven minutes an two seconds "Boy now don't I sound like
(Lt. Commander Data)
from the Next Gen?...." Well after watching it I had to know what the blue blazes happen next, so I went back to Sun Coast at Columbia center and pick up season one of the new series I then watch up to two discs and put it away again. I then in two thousand and eight lent it to the person I was sharing about in Sunday's posting and they said "Do you have season two of that, it's very well done" I told the person "No I don't but it really is that superb?, huh?" So the person bought each forthcoming season with the exception of the latter part of season four, they then gave them to me for half of what they paid for them which ain't bad I guess huh?, So just the other day I was looking at my Facebook friends and found that Kathie my sister inlaw was watching the thing on Netflix. So this got me thinking of ALL the people whom have told me how much it would be wroth my time to invest in BSG and ALL of the times I have cut it to pieces an NOT KNOWING WHY..... I now KNOW it's time to give this the Matt's Green light and just go with it, which I gonna do right now....

Happy Birthday to John Romita SR
HAPPY B-DAY to another creator on the character seen here, or at lest one of the many, many, artists that work on his comic book legacy, here is the low down of whom Mr. Romita is: .
No the girl with him is Peter Parker's other gal pal Gwen Stacy which he just so happen to uh nix outta the boy' life. (see life and art of John Romita Sr from in this past September's entries)
Well wouldn't you know it, if you were the man that helped make a character like this guy
who has the powers of an arachnid specifically a kinda creepy fellow when he puts on a certain red & blue covered in Black crosshatches (into more of an American Icon than he already was under a fellow named Ditko). Yet you have only drawn ,
this said character in another comic book character's title
before getting the "ONE GIG" that does MARVELOUS ENHANCING of your own growth as a person. Thank you Mr. Romita for everything you have made of the everyday life of the kid called Peter Parker, whether in this form
of the newspaper strip you started with his co creator Stan Lee in the late seventies or for introducing us the reading public and him to a certain "JACKPOT , THAT WILL BE HIS, NO MATTER WHAT?" HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY to one of Spidey greatest artist!, from a true fan of all things SPIDER-MAN no matter if it's always good or bad in it's writing from time to time the visuals are always A plus!
Does anyone know what the oldest SCI-FI televison series is, ever?
Well what I mean by this is that at a time long ago before there were shows like LOST or SMALLVILE of the super hero known as Superman and even FRINGE started there was a television series about the odd and unknown type of storytelling. Yet before all this most everything in the vein of Sci-Fi type of entertainment was almost always at the movie houses of the day, or heard over your radio. One of those radio playwright was a young man by the name of Rod Serling
he was wanting to move from radio plays to telling his stories on that small box in peoples living rooms or kitchens. How was he able to talk about such things as War, Religion, Race, or even Ethnics of the human spirit/condition, see back when Mr Serling was wanting to talk about these very type of subject matters television wouldn't let a creator be at the top of their game, for like comic books of the time had a monitoring systems of way over the top kind of violence so did television it was known as censorship. So what Serling did was he hid his true message of whatever it was into a science fiction twist that was easy for the viewing audience to see as a "thinking type of process in understanding a story about a man who only want to read books and yet can't because the things of life won't let him, until.....something happens that makes him the only man left on earth with at least "TIME ENOUGH AT LAST" to finally read in peace till another thing happens....( I won't spoil it for you if you wish to see this very episode. There are a lot of reasons to watching the "TWILIGHT ZONE" besides those most interesting twisty tales of as Seriling quoted "There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area we call the Twilight Zone. Or perhaps the even more familiar quoting from later seasons of the show "To unlock this door is with the key of imagination, beyond on it is another dimension, a dimension of sound (a glass window shatters), a dimension of sight (a eyeball stares at the viewer), a dimension of mind (E=2c floats by), your moving into a land of both shadow and substance of things and ideas...you've just crossed over into the "Twilight Zone", now I forgot something there in those last two lines does anyone know what there are? I'm sorry forgetting what I was saying here because of wanting to add the two best openings of the series. What made "Twilight Zone" great was it had a vast majority of big name stars that went on to bigger things Ronnie Howard who played Richy on "HAPPY DAYS" opposite of Henry Winkler who played none other than the "AYY IT'S COOL" Fonzie, and is now a movie director in his own right, . The TWILIGHT Zone had other great stars in it besides future young kids, It had comedians who tried to being dramatic for a change of pace like Johnathon Winters seen here
in a episode titled "A GAME OF POOL". In fact this series had a "HULKING OUT" star before, (No I'm DEAD sure the story DIDN'T GO LIKE THIS AT ALL) he was David Banner. Bill Bixby starred in one of the rare hour long episodes of the series fourth year run outta five in a episode entitled "THIRTY FAHTOM GRAVES ". So with this series being the breaking ground for television's foray into any or all things science driven and actually getting more than that across in the space of a actual half an hour time slot, would you YOURSELF ever watch this little gem of classic TV?

I did choose the RIGHT BOOK, to get me back into loving reading again
Yes I would most definitely say that with my copy of this
,which I got back around the time after my father's passing in November of last year has helped me heal in more than just with the grieving process it has rekindled my one of many loves Reading. See a couple of years ago back in (well you know what the year was:2009) I was on a fishing trip with a coworker from Albly's better known as Albertson's I won't reveal who the name is of the person, but I do feel I need to address this in this posting as well. While down on the rocks of where we were I said to this person "Hey I actually have tried giving myself a chance at writing a little story called "Clone of Me" I told the person I was really wanting to know if they could write what would they have as a story or plot they said "I DON'T KNOW but I'm sure it would be interesting or more interesting than anything you can write about...", Well let me tell you all something those very words have like Byran Adams wrote in a certain song "CUTS LIKE A KNIFE"through my very being to want to even think about being creative at all. Now just so you all know this as well, I have a friend my own age that back in the late nineties did the very same thing to me about my artwork with very( no even harsher type of words) and slowly but surely I came back to drawing again but I still feel mighty broken in my two greatest extracurricular activities of fun which is like having your soul ripped to pieces in front of you and theirs nothing you can do about it. I am working up the courage to telling my coworker what they have done to me from over two years ago but it's still taking it toll on me that I know of as well the longer I wait the more ineffective my words will be in my wanting to impact my overdue long history of two lost loves of mine. On a higher note though last night at Barnes & Nobles I picked up these two new books
, so without saying I can't just jump back into reading again would be an outright lie as well so I'm off to finish most of the "TROLLS" book knowing that it alone has brought me back to the forefront of my love of reading again.

This Storyarc is really Stan Lee's Answer to...
Hey All,
...."THE GOD AWFUL storyline that Marvel comics itself wrote claiming Spidey works better as a single man rather than a married one, (Well really it was the company's editor in chief, Joe Queasda) . Better known as
which as I have said from time to time here VERY VOCALLY HAS DIVIDED SPIDER-MAN Fandom in the worst way possible. Now I also know that Stan is nowhere done with this very tale in any whatsoever either. I can say as a true fan of the Spider-Man character I DO HAPPEN to love this take more so than Marvel's for sure without a doubt! Here are my reasons to why:
#5, This in no way feels like it is "BEING FORCED" on you because it is time to change a like or
feeling of the writer's view point to fit their need for fans to love a character the way YOU
think everyone should.
#4, This story has more about what "real love" will be like for the character that is always used
in Spider- lore as "the one turning reel to reset' the Peter Parker character to his lovable
likable self for the richness of all the characters including Spidey himself.
#3, In this tale even though they are at the center of the earth or "SUBTARRANA" you already
know that there won't be magic involvement (as far as yet).
#2, NO DEALS WITH DEVILS, for please will anyone tell me when the heck did Spider-man all
of sudden become the only other famous number one hero of the competition known by an
"S" in his name too?
I will get to my number one reason of why Stan's take on "ONE MORE DAY" stands out in a moment, but first I want to say that Stan also for half of two thousand and nine attempted to have the newspaper strip be with a single Peter Parker and like he had originally said wwwwwaaaay bbbbaaaccckkkk in 1987 "However, since no task is too formidable for the good and welfare of Marveldoom Assembled, suffice it to say that we found a way! Hey, the super hero biz is not for losers!"And now, since we know full well that every Marvelite true is a hopeless romantic, let's share the epiphany together as we join Spidey and his lady to prove that neither danger, disaster, nor villainy most vile can alter one irrefutable fact-love conquers all! Excelsior Stan Lee" The above passage is from the end of the introduction of the
book between Peter & Mary Jane which is titled the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN THE WEDDING. And Now as to why this newspaper strip story is better than "ONE MORE DAY" in my option is
#1, It's so simple of the answer which is this take is by none other than STAN LEE and as he
would say NUFF SAID!

Do you feel a HUG coming on
Hey I just was listening to my local K-LOVE radio station earlier today, when they said it was now before I say this I must admit I have never heard of this before myself at all either?! Today is National "HUG" day. So with that from my way of understanding this day's background is about expressing NOT JUST LOVE, ABOUT FAMILY ALONE or ABOUT HELPING ANOTHER PERSON WITH GRIEF OR GRIEVING (unless there is someone you know who is suffering from the lost of someone very dear to them most assuredly I'd hope you'd offer more than words alone an a HUG shows that you understanding the person's pain). Here to me is a super comic book couple
I'd loved to be seen HUGGING AGAIN REAL SOON HOPEFULLY?, well as for the question mark at the end of that last statement if you visit this blog often enough you know what's been on my mind for the last few years related to Peter Parker and his lady love. Today I counted at least ten people who just understood today's meaning of me explaining it to them without a snickering laugh or some big grin there were a few of those for sure, but here are a couple of kids
that I know understand the meaning of National HUG day and they do love me I know for sure even if I question it from time to time myself. So if you see a friend you know reach out and put your arm out just over their shoulder and HUG them because like everything in life HUGS will help raise your spirits in your needful soul and let me tell you this HUGS are needed just as much as any form of praise for any and everybody any day it will make you understand the importance of your relationship of kindness all that much more where it's needed the most your own heart.

Maybe I'm a little late with this, but here's Matt's new years resolution
Here is something like I said a little late but worth the price of many reasons to like, no I take that back to love any day in one's life. So I want to ask anyone who reads these very words "Did you yourself make a new years resolution on the eve of December thirty first, two thousand and ten when you rang in the beginning of this year two thousand and elven. If so I'm just curious have you gone back to what you promised yourself about making a change in your own life already and here whatever it was you made a fix to help yourself with in the start of this year has faded before your even through the first month of two thousand and elven?" Okay I admit that was a two part question really, yet I know that every new years eve I promise to follow through on my own choice of a new resolution as much as anyone who makes one. Will you let me tell you something please about why everybody or most everyone decides to make a chance at change come the end of the year and why they fail so quickly! I believe that the reason why almost anyone who makes a choice to change their life around at the end of the year has hope of making their very life a lot more relaxing in a pleasing way to make the heart feel/flow steady so that they can have one or at least less to stress about in the very near future. The reason we all fail at keeping "these said changes" IS because we get bumped off of the "rocking horse in our everyday moments of life" or if you prefer to think of it as "life just happens that's okay as well, I will try again next year I guess for faulting myself is a part of being human right?" I Matt just am wondering though the answer to why everyone fails at making one's self better is DOES ANY BODY KNOW WHAT WILLPOWER TRULY IS....I'm nearly cretin NO ONE DOES OR AT LEAST IN HOW WILLPOWER IS SUPPOSE TO BE FOCUSED. As you all know since this past summer I have had to change my eating habits (VERY MUCH SO) is it easy for me to keep myself away from salty food well of course not because as you know almost every type of food has some form of sodium in it even if it is fresh produce as much as junk food or canned foods as well, and the answer to that very question would be NO I CAN'T completely cut out salt altogether so I also make up for it all with walking a mile or two everyday. I know that this itself doesn't necessary show the complete meaning of WILLPOWER any more than however you challenge yourself either in whatever your struggles in life are huh, what I'm trying to get at in the WILLPOWER MESSAGE is YOU HAVE strength WITHIN YOURSELF to fight YOU HAVE TO FIND WHATEVER GIVES YOU STRENGTH AND STICK IT TO YOUR EVERYDAY WALK OF LIFE ITSELF. If I can do it I know you can to, now what is my NEW Years resolution for two thousand and elven your asking yourself right? well here it is "MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTION IS TO MAKE A NEW FRIEND EVERYDAY BY JUST SAYING HI or HELLO TO EVERYONE I MEET EVERYDAY!" Besides with making a resolution such as this you'll succeed wherever you go in life and you will win more than lose at every given time.

A VERY healthy dessert for sure
All that I can say is that my cooking skills are at least getting a wee bit more creative in the dessert department if not all together in all forms of cooking (still I'm getting there very slowly but at length I'm very determinedly NEVER GIVING UP on learning more of how to use my frying pans and a thing called the stove top.) Here
is what I made last night after cooking up some chicken in chicken strip pieces with a couple of carrot sticks thrown in for good measure. It may look rather interesting to you who is reading this as maybe to zippy from it's very look huh?, well as I am trying to be creativity experimental in my cooking when making an omelet like the one seen here
, I thought why the heck should dessert always be boring? So as I was saying I made this yummy tummy smoother from some Seneca brand original Apple sauce, some fresh blue berries
and then I decided to add some Quaker Natural Granola for some add flavor as well. To tell you it tasted just heavenly would be seeing me burn at the stake, if I was around back in Jesus time over two thousand years ago(joking of course) but gosh for a healthy snack or as I used it tonight as a dessert this is better than any Dairy Queen Blizzard treat and as you all know I still love those very much even though I shouldn't have them.

My first STAR TREK MARATHON of 2011
It has actually been a very lllllooooonnngggggg time since I have had myself Matt A true Star Trek type of Marathon with my big screen forty two inch screen television. This morning I certainly changed that by starting at a little after nine am, I put into my DVD player the first disc of the original series season two
, which the night before I watch all of the special features on it just not the two listed episodes which were "Amok Time" & "Who mourns for Adonais?". When I got done with that disc I plopped in disc seven of the eight disc set, and watched "Return to Tomorrow", and "By Any other name". I then went an decided to watch the best two parter of Star Trek The Next Generation which is none other than "The Best of Both worlds" I watched this from the DVD set called STAR TREK BORG FAN COLLECTIVE
, I do not have the whole series of Next Gen on DVD yet (maybe someday I will). I was craving to see the mirror universe episodes of STAR TREK today for I wanted to see how it flowed from one generation to another (hey your saying to yourself how can that be the next generation NEVER EVER did a "mirror universe" episode did it and I never saw it?) what I'm talking about is the series that followed the Next Generation known as DS-9 went and had a whole set of Mirror Universe story lines in the course of it's run. Yet the Next Gen crew did have a "Mirror Universe" novel called Dark Mirror, so sorry for that little distraction for a lead into the episode called "Mirror, Mirror" of the original series. After watching "Mirror, Mirror" I went right into the Deep Space Nine, second season episode entitled "Crossover", where Major Kira meets her mirrored self known as intent Kira . I finished my first STAR TREK MARATHON for 2011 with the Deep Space Nine two parter Past Tense, which is one of that series one of many highlights (to me anyway). It deals with civil uprising if Star Fleet never existed,
it also hints at what may yet be coming for us as a society if we NEVER LEARN to get along with one another at all. Yet always STAR TREK is ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT LEARN TO IMPROVE YOURSELF if nothing else?

Why Dreams are so Very important ....
Well as you all know I have been taking a drug to help me with sleeping for close to seven months now known as Keppra, it is suppose to help me with my very rare type of seizures that I have had in the past since last June (you know of the date very easily,) well at first I was taking a more reliable seizure medication known as Dalintin before my visit to my neurologist Micheal Freedman. Well it seems that I was able to finally have a little actual Rapid Eye Movement in the way of dreaming again for just a half hour this very morning, does this sound frightening to you I have been taking a seizure medication for so long I can never dream when I take it. Yes this is very true and yes it scares the heck out of me. I have talked to my folks who as you know reside in Cuenca Ecuador about this as I said before worries the heck out me but they say I should let these doctors who are pros do what the know is right till I tell them otherwise. For they know that they are right with every decision that they make for their patient. So I happen to be soon to see my neurologist on a upcoming appointment in February seventeenth of this year and I need to tell him something else about the Keppra dose that I found out about later throughout today and what that is, this dose of Five hundred milligrams twice daily that's how I'm suppose to be taking it now has "ALWAYS AND YES I MEAN ALWAYS HAS GIVEN ME A SNIDE TYPE OF ADDICTIVE PERSONALITY WITH MY COWORKERS AT ALBERTSON'S where I work with the public and IF I MATT WERE TO BE THAT WAY WITH A COSTUMER EVER I WOULD/WILL FIRE MYSELF FROM MY PLACE OF WORK IF I WERE THE BOSS!" Maybe the dreaming I can live without BUT BEING DRAINED OF ENERGY WHILST AT WORK I WON'T HAVE IT OR SHOULD I? (Today by the way I didn't take my morning dose and I felt like I could and did conquer the day just fine). I'd still like to have the ability to dream and sleep well but I just think I can't if I take what I'm taking dosage wise.
