What's a song's meaning to you?

Hey everyone & anyone,
You know what after hearing a song this morning on K-Love radio it was the first time even though I didn't get to hear the whole song or even know the song's name, it truly got me thinking about how a song any song for that matter can affect anyone. A song can make you feel like your needs are not always met, and you need to just be by yourself to sort out what's going on in your day at other times a song just makes you want to shout out to the blasted world how darn happy you are. There are some people who like a song because they like it's melody, there are some who like a song for it's rhyme or beat. Some just like a song because it easy to whistle it when one maybe stressed out about something. Any song is really meant to open one's eyes to the way we all see our selves in this place we called planet earth our home. Everyone & anyone knows a song is really a moment in the artist's life of where they hopefully convey a message of what they have learned from a particularity instant realization of their own Pain or Joy through storytelling their said feelings into words of hope for not only themselves but for many others as well.
As I'm writing this I'm listening to John Williams score to Star Wars Episode III: REVENGE OF THE SITH, for myself I find that when I want to sit down and really get into writing something I need to keep my mind following on that train of thought. Now I'm a guy whose taste in music varies I love movie & TV soundtracks quite a lot, but every now and again I love some good ol Rock and Roll as well. I also like religous or at least contemporary religous music like Chris Rice, Micheal W. Smith & Steven Crutis Chapman to name just a few. I beleieve that listening to any kind of music can really help anyone to find one's need for what it is that anyone needs are?, I hope that after reading this you yourself find a great song the next time you find that you know you need one to inspire you whatever that song is I wish you the best of your listening choice.

What a year 2009 was!

Hey everybody,
How was this past year of 2009 for you?, well for me it was full of many great & surprising things that is for sure. I certainly can say that over all I've enjoyed the year on a personal & spiritual upswing because of everything that has/had went on in a daily basis, now this doesn't mean I didn't have bad days in my year of 2009 of course I did. I wouldn't be human if I did otherwise, Right? One thing that I can say that actually helped in expressing myself is this very blog itself which my mother got me in tune with back in the summer of 2008. I'll admit I know I'm not the fastest writer in the world in fact I will admit I maybe one of the slowest writer ever when using a computer keyboard. Back in October of last year I came up (with a still working in progress story called "Clone of Me") while I was at work one day. The main reason I haven't put out any more of it yet is because I feel that a person I know feels that they have to Judge me by what I should be like to them. I will deal with this in my own time so please don't send me harsh remarks about this, pretty please?! I felt it would be best to get what has been bugging me off of my chest first in this blog of dealing with end of the year stuff.
A lot of people don't necessary think you can understand the world through religion & relate it to how we see everyday life now, or people seem to think not knowing religion is better than ("knowing the ways of the world") my own coined phrase if you will in understanding what sin is or bad stuff is when we know we're NOT to do that. There are also many people who see religion way to much like the only way to dealing with worldly problems. No matter how you see religion or wish to react to it is okay, just so long as you remember one thing most of all GOD will love you (insert your name here.) as long as you learn as best you can before leaving earth. Why all this rant about religion & GOD here? is it because of it being the time of year where your suppose to love your fellow man?, no it's because I want to share with all of you how I relate to GOD if that is alright with you? AS I 've shared before about GOD & how I've known shouldn't surprise really anyone here it is in brief I learn mostly about Jesus & his teachings from my grandparents on both sides of my family, and then for a long while I had chosen to (Knowing the ways of the world) till GOD found the way to pull me back to HIM, the loss of a loved one. What I'm trying to say here is I love my heavenly father but I just can't find a church home & it's eating me up inside. Sorry I guess I just needed to let that out to as well.
Now on to better things that happen through out the year of 2009, in total I saw six movies in the theater they were The Time Traveler's Wife, Inglorious Bastards, Star Trek (2009), Surrogates, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, and finally Planet 51. I felt that TTW was a very interesting type of movie it was billed as a romantic love story, which don't get me wrong it was but for me it also had the SCI-FI twist as well with time travel part & for me it redeemed actor Eric Banna who a few years ago play a bad written Bruce Banner in 2003's HULK movie by Ang Lee.

Inglorious Bastards was a fair movie by Quentin Tarantnio which starred Brad Pitt it had some funny parts in it but that's all I'll say about it.

Star Trek (2009) was great even with a whole new cast playing classic Kirk, McCoy, Spock and all of the rest from Gene Roddenberry's "wagon train to the stars" as it was envision back in the sixties. I'm also a big fan of Mr. J.J. Abrams other works of entertainment as well, and I'm still a BIG fan of Star Trek still as well.
Surrogates was a fair film that starred Bruce Willis that was trying to stop a world full of a perfect health system when it lead to end of all life instead.
If any of you see this film on DVD when it comes out look for a brief cameo by what looks like California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, because I swear I saw him in a scene. Seeing Cloudy with a chance of meatballs made me hungry just from the title alone, I saw this with my brother & his family in 3-D no less, (boy seeing this was an adventure in itself I'll blog about that sometime later in this year). Finally the last movie I saw of two thousand nine was a si-fi cartoon movie titled Planet fifty one, I saw this with some friends from work. I liked this because it was that I saw this it before Thanksgiving and it had a great short film that was just plain funny as heck for any music lovers my friends from work will also agree with me there too. It is as you can tell it was a good movie, from it's poster. There were a couple I missed like Astro Boy Astro Boy will have to wait till it becomes available on DVD for me to see it. ( I did want to take my niece Hedi & her brother Cannon to see it back in the beginning of November but we'll catch it together on DVD sometime.) The other movie I'm willing to wait to see later this in January is James Cameron's Avatar, which I hear is in three D and standard two D my brother & his wife saw it last weekend while I watched their kids, I also wanna see the 2012 movie, but still not as much as Avatar in three D no less. As a huge fan of the comic book character Spider-Man I was delighted as punch on Memorial Day weekend on May twenty fourth when I saw at the Spider-Man website called "CRAWLSPACE" that in the newspaper strip of Spider-Man his creator Stan Lee went and revived what the fans of Spidey had wanted for two years his Marriage to Mary Jane Watson, to find out more about this please check out my blog posting "A brief but very important message worthy of a break in my story of "Clone of me" from me". Before I tell you of the best part of my year of two thousand nine I have to tell you St patty's day at where I work we could dress up here's how I looked. The previous year I dressed up similar to this to sell a LCD forty two inch screen television from Costco in Kennwick Washington.
The best thing that had happen to me in the whole year of tw
o thousand nine was I was able to visit with my folks in Ecuador after tax time till the first of May. Here are some photos from that trip, this is the center of downtown Cuenca, where my folks live. Here's Chuck my step dad ready to blow away his problems.
Chuck & me in what's known as a mixtoe, here's the Conner of the center of the equator monument in a another part of Ecuador,
here are some dancers readying for a performance, What is one to do when you find a clown can? fill your wife's mouth with trash or at least look like you are? In June we have what is known as "Cool Desert Nights" it's where if your a classic car collector you have a whole weekend to show off your Pride & Joy. Hey isn't that Cannon, Micheal & the rest of that other Byrd family.
People that are ready for the Friday night race.

They have a huge drag race around uptown on Friday night.

Hey look here's Bo & Luke Duke from Hazzard Georgia in the race as well.

Here's a old car on display during the Saturday morning pancake breakfast.
Then of course came that Big birthday of the country known as the fourth of July. There were sword fights with those things called sparklers.

We had a few those red ropes we made a bomb with a few of them.

With others we made the Bat-Man symbo
l out of fire works.
In late August I went to the local county fair known as the Benton County Fair here is a line of people waiting to get through the front gate.
They had all kinds of entertainment, this was a cow lady as she called herself on the kid's stage doing rope tricks.
While looking around the fair I ran into a massive Spidey & Bat-man blowup toys (points to you if you can find Bat-man on the stick.)

Since I love art so much I stopped by the fair's art building here's a small taste of what I saw. That was near the end of August when the fair had happen, also something Very Big was going to happen to the company known as Marvel Comics which was celebrating it's seventieth Anniversary. But in the earlier part of August Chuck or "Poppy" as he's known to the Grand children came for a short visit. While he was here we had fun at Round Table pizza.
I remember waking up on August twenty ninth to get my daily Spider-Man newspaper Sunday strip from the "Crawlspace" website when I saw that the mouse had bought the spider or for those of you not in the non lore of character name assistance, Disney bought Marvel boy did it ever cause a uproar with Marvel fans on the internet for sure. I will have a two part blog about this coming soon. Not a lot had happen in September except spending time with friends. Then of course one time in uptown at the comic shop there I found another thing I'll be blogging about in mid October it's the Spider-Man Daily Newspaper strips from the beginning in the late nineteen seventies.

Then of course I can't forget ol Hallows Eve better known as Halloween and the one of two thousand nine was very super heroically themed
I wonder who this guy in a kid's Spidey mask was thinking doesn't he know the night is for kids and treats.

Here are two little ones dressed as Captain America and Flash I wonder if they enjoy reading both Marvel & D.C. heroes well I can say I didn't ask so you and I are left to wonder?

Oh I guess even Bad guys popped up to share a treat or is that a trick or two?

Here's Green Lantern's girlfriend. I don't know if the current Lantern has a female relationship in the comics but let's call her "Lantrena".

Here Heidi (as Dorthy from the Wizard of OZ), and her brother Spider-Cannon under a bear. In November on Thanksgiving I did something I hadn't done for a long while on Thanksgiving that was watch the Macy's day parade. It was because the Spider-man float don't worry not a picture this time made it reappearance after eleven years of being gone from the parade but the Spidey float had been part of the Macy day's parade since nineteen eighty seven. So I leave it to you to find out where the time gap was if you can?

My niece Heidi showing her daring do to everyone on "If she likes Deviled eggs?"

Our first snowfall was on December twelfth.

I went to a presentation called "A Night in Bethlehem on the day of our first snow here are some things I took home with me.

Here are some lights from on Christmas Eve, it's something we my brother and his family do every year.

Here is my Christmas gift from my sister Kylie.

I hope your year of 2010 will be nice and full of new & bright fulfillment for you. Just remember take each day as they come and you will be alright no matter what!

V: The Second Generation Novel Review

It had taken me a few tries getting into this novel. I would say it was mostly because I wanted to see this New version of V in March two thousand and ten more than wanting to read more about the original series latter adventures. I finally decided to take the book with me on my trip to Cuenca Ecuador when I went to go see my parents who've lived there since November two thousand and eight, before this they were renting as far back as February of the same year. What I can tell you so far of the novel is it is very much the series that Kenneth Johnson had started with the original V miniseries from waaaaaaaaaay back in nineteen eighty three. The new novel has these three characters in it Dania, Julie Parrish, Micheal Donovan plus many other old favorites as well as a bunch of new characters as well. There are some true V fans who loved the original miniseries and V the final battle and liked a little of the weekly TV series that followed the final battle, who have their own websites that detest this novel even though it's written by the creator of the series to begin with Kenneth Johnson. All I can say is those fans are entitled to look at the V THE SECOND GENERATION, how they wish to as I may look at the story as a way to boost insight into the future projects the sale of the novel can set up for. Hence: ABC's network new take on the classic series. As I had said before I was hoping to have read this before this new version had ever hit the air waves, there was ONE small problem with that and it was that my copy of the book wasn't delivered to where I placed the order of it in time to. Even if I did try to read it before hand I'd have to watch while reading thank god for small favors. Now that it's close to the new series last episode for season one (which is May 18th, 2010 for those of you wanting to catch it, but you can also be let in on a little secret it has been renewed for a second season starting in the fall). This is about a squeal to a book called V, the original miniseries not about it's revival on current network television as a series so here it is as the novel starts three hunters named Myer,Niblo, Burton, are heading into the high SIERRAS mountains when they find two strange looking women who aren't quite entirely human outside of their body type, the two women kill the three men and make contact with someone known as Ayden. We come to find out that Diana has renamed the Visitor youth to now The Teammates and that there was a great war against the human forces known as the Resistance known as the Great Purge in 1999. A Teammate leader known as Sarah tries to get a human boy named Nathan Avery to see that the Visitors weren't good. Sarah was hoping Nathan would join the Resistance with her if only she could talk to him about it, but it takes her death and a little girl whose half human and half Visitor to convince the lad. Her name is Ruby (this is Elizabeth from V the final battle and the weekly series), she is known here after the old lady who helps Julie in her time of need in the V miniseries & the final battle. We also learn that there are many like her they are known as half breeds, Diana has mister Micheal Donovan as her special prisoner which she refereed to as "A personal souvenir from the Great Purge. The two ladies with Ayden are named Bryke and Kayta all three are representatives of a race with bug like genetic DNA known as the Zedti who are sworn enemies of the Visitors. One thing I found interesting was Kenneth Johnson seems to have two different takes on the Visitor Leader in the miniseries and the final battle he seems to indicate that the Leader is male in origin, where as here in this very novel he seem to show the Leader as a female in origin. I won't tell you the end of how V the Second Generation ends in case you wish to read it for yourselves.

A sneak peek at IM2

Hey all,
I know that a lot of you know that I'm a comic book freak at heart, I mean all my blogs on a certain webhead wonder
should prove that without a doubt, right. Even though this very blog isn't about ol Spidey himself it is about another Marvel character coming out with his second movie which teased at the end of his last movie outing of a group being put together by Nick Fury Agent of S*H*I*E*L*D* now your probably wondering what does S*H*I*E*L*D* stand for right? It stands for Supreme HeadQuarters International Espionage Law-Enforcement Division try saying that three times fast or at least the meaning is easier as an acronym when talking about that fictitious organization, well at the end of this movie they didn't use the classic version of Nick Fury which is on the upper left of this image instead the ultimate version which is a line of comics that Marvel started in the year 2,000 with the a fore mentioned webhead, was used for IM. And yes the person who played Ultimate Nick Fury was/is Samuel L Jackson who told Tony Stark that the government is wanting to start a team of superheroes together the group will be known as The Avengers. Hey did I just say that the movie had Marvels counter part to Detective Comics Batman. You bet I'm talking about Iron Man but this isn't about the first film which was really enjoyable or at least I thought so, especially Stan Lee's cameo with the Big Wig industrialists where Tony Stark mistakes his true creator or co creator for a certain Publisher of a popular Men's magazine. As far as I know there was one change made in casting for all Iron Man future films even before the first was ever released in theaters, it was the part of Tony's friend James Rhodes who was played in the first film by Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2 James Rhodes will be played by Don Chadle now before you say what is that about why change is needed when Howard did a fine job as Tony Stark's military insider friend is even beyond me? the only thing I can say is movie productions feel the sale of said product need change to sale better case in point: the Hulk film from 2003 which starred Eric Banna as Bruce Banner but it was really that director Ang Lee didn't have a story that represented the Hulk character at all. So sometimes Hollywood production companies are right and in 2008 corrected it's Hulk movie mistake with The Incredible Hulk which starred Edward Norten as Bruce Banner with a story that put all elements of the Hulk in that one from the comic book character to the late197o's to early 1980's Television series that starred Bill Bixby & Lou Ferrino as the man who became the creature. The release date for Iron Man 2 is May 7,2010 I almost forgot to put the movie poster which I found in Yahoo movie page on December first so here it is who is that Grey Iron man? your probability asking huh? It's James Rhodes superhero character known as War Machine! I have heard that the offical Iron Man 2 trailer is on another Robert Downy Jr movie that is out on Christmas day.
