Heroes, (no I don't mean theTelevison show at all)

Hey all,
I have a question for everyone who checks out this Blog, & I'd like for you to be honest with your answer please? Whose your hero in life your mom& dad or brother or sister, I'm sure the answers will be endless to this, But I'd just like to know if people are reading this or not because I do have a lot to say & that's a fact. Now you the reader of this may think I'm silly or not I don't know but here are my heroes in spirit, life, & in fiction. My own heroes are Ben Powers in both his life & his spirit, this was my mother's father he showed me a great deal in life to take things as they are at face value but keep reminding myself you can always have room for improvement as long as you follow your heart. I still remember when he was always very funny with me more times than not with his stories & joking, But I will as well always remember when he was dead honest with me just as much. ( I still remember our last conversation together, It was when he & my Grandma Evelin were here in the spring time of 1999 during Easter he & I were out in the backyard of my folks place talking about personal relationships about women, he surprised me by bringing God into the conversation & had reassured me that God will help me in my time of need, for God loves me very much & God wants me happy with the lady he wants me to be because of that very same type of love. God Himself is also one of my heroes as well because of his love for all of us as fault filled humans he knows we should understand what love is? A lot people don't know that love is what our true purpose is on this planet we call Earth. Knowing that Jesus his son shows us the way is just as equity needed to always be known as well. Now on to fictional heroes here, I have just as many that as I do at the upper two parts of this blog that I like, admire & respect, but the one I love the most is Spider Man. I still remember my first introduction to this Character. It wasn't any comic book by any means or a toy, it was a simple coloring book. Why do I love Spider Man as a hero you may ask right?, Well the very reason I love Spidey, is because when Stan Lee created him he made him the Every man relate able to everyone. (Hey I could talk about my political views here but I won't at least not now). I do love all comics actually, But I've also have a beef with Marvel Comics who makes the Spider Man storyline right now ( I will have a blog about this you can be assured). Heroes are many things I know to many different people. I hope that with this blog I have gotten you to see why it's important to think about not only why you or I have a need for heroes, but also remember that also all of our heroes regraudless of if we live with them in life or in spirit or if they are fictional we can always relate to them, Why or how you may ask?, Simple they are us.

A small bit of history of the real Yamato

Hey how's everyone,
This is connected to A little show called Star Blazers an ongoing saga.... How many people know about Japanese war history, Well one part I knew a lot about was of course their bringing America into W.W. II with the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec.7 1941, & how we ended the war by bombing them in August 6, 1945 in Hiroshima & Nagasaki three days later. I know a lot about world war II besides Japan's part but, that's what I want talk about here. When I was in my last year of junior high slash starting my first year of high school we were living on the east coast, I met a woman in a toy store who had on a white T-shirt that had the ship from Star Blazers on it, I ran & found my mom we talked for about a half hour about Star Blazers we exchanged information to come to find out she knew a huge lot about the original stuff from Japan & that she had been visiting there from time to time. She let me make copies of her Yamato/Star Blazers videos (boy doesn't that sound old school, by today's standards).

Anyway this is about the real battleship Yamato not fictional right now, so I'd go to the library back then & go to the history selection to find out what I could about that ship called the Yamato some of the stuff I short of knew but it wasn't much. Then my folks found the coolest book ever on great battleships and gave to me as a Christmas present because it had a selection on the Yamato in it. I found out that when it was sunk on April 7,1945 at 14:25 p.m. (That's 2:25 in civilian or standard time meaning not related to military). It was said to have had 16 inch guns on it's front when in relatively it had 18 inch guns on it's front, but newspapers in the USA didn't know of the latter till after she was destroyed. She and her sister ship were both given only enough fuel for a one way trip , but her fueling crews had put in enough for her to return. She was attack by American bomber planes. I myself found out when finding these pictures here on the internet that her construction was started in 1937, Also that one the crew members that survived wrote a book of their own account of the Real Yamato's missions & now that I know of it, I hope that I can find a English copy of that book which may be impossible I know but it would be nice to add to my Yamato collection regardless of what language it would be in.

A little show called STAR BLAZERS a ongoing saga...

I would like to let you all know that this entry is very special to my heart for it really does take me back to a time when I first got to know science fiction for what it was meant to be & still I know why I love the genre as I do even today. Back in 1979 I was a little guy that one day I was watching the 700 club with Pat Robertson , (who tried in 2000 to run for president) this was a weekly evangelism program that ran from 5 am to 7am on KSTW channel 11 then I remember at 7:30 a show called STAR BLAZERS it was only a half hour long but it was the story that drew me in. The year is 2199 and the whole planet has one whole year left to support human life. Why? because a alien race known as the Gamilons are hurling radio active planet bombs to earth while fighting a losing battle near Pluto they see a shooting star or space ship heading towards Mars, when the crash site is investigated by Derek Wildstar & Mark Venture they find a dead girl that was delivering a message of hope to planet earth, from the planet Iscandar which is 148,000 light years from earth so they pull a world war II battleship from the seabed of earth's oceans called the Yamato, which they add a special engine to it called the wave motion engine & to the front of the ship a gun simply called the wave motion gun these plans were included in the message from Iscandar. They rechristen the name of the ship to Argo, (note this was so they could edit out the Japanese history for American audiences), with of course one year left they set off for Iscandar to retrieve a device called the Cosmo DNA. With the Gamilons trying stop them at all cost any way that they can. Please note this blog will be on going....

What a way to find God again!

The Byrdman here yet again, to share my story of how I've found God in even more ways than just humbling myself alone. (A Keynote here look at the color I'm typing with, in most if not all BIBLES isn't the color of Jesus words are in RED, pretty cleaver huh?) Well anyway I wanted to say I love MY Father who without knowing that his son died for our sins would be harsh to let be known as just forsaking us all alone is just as hard for everyone to understand in a lot more simple words this is what we as humans understand as LOVE. OR at least it should be?
Ok now back to Matt's own story as I was growing up as a kid I had help in understanding religion from my Mother's father: Ben Powers & my Dad's mother: Neil Byrd I always remembered how much they did their best to show me a Christian upbringing as they both could like everyone I fell away for a time. But a lot has brought me back to knowing I (Raymond Matthew Byrd) need Jesus in my own life again.
I'd found a Bible study group shorty after 9/11 that was very meaningful & helpful to help me reconnect to Jesus. I attended this for a period of time from 2001-2004 or roughly that (Maybe I will go back to that sometime very soon too), But this past Friday a customer named Paul invited me to Cathedral of Joy for Men's Breakfast I of course accepted, & boy am I ever glad I did, I sure am.

What I saw Tonight I had not seen in forever

Hey Matt here again for my second blog of the night, 8-8-08, tonight when I got home from work I decided to watch an Anime movie that I hadn't seen in a very long time. I watched AKIRA it came out the same year Disney released the Little Mermaid so that can tell you it's old school for sure, that was in 1988 if your all wondering. I remember when it came out in Spokane I still have that movie review someplace a friend of mine got me a copy of the video in '89 I was really into Anime before this when I was a kid there was a show called STAR BLAZERS I remember watching that every weekday morning in 79-80 (I'll blog about that show at another time)
Watching this AKIRA brought back some great memories of why I love that type of story telling so much it's not your ordinary cartoon it's an adult themed show but very science fiction theme as well so you can also see why I love it as well.

PANDORA'S STAR

Hello everyone,
Here's what I know of what's going on in PANDORA'S STAR, The year is 2380 and this astronomer named Dudley Bose who works at Oxford University is one night looking through a telescope and see a star he's been observing called the Dyson pair just vanish. The Dyson pair is 1240 light years from Gralmond. This is the planet out of 600 where Bose lives with his wife, Wendy.
The Commonwealth which is like (STAR TREK'S: Federation) decides to built a starship, to travel that amount of distance for they can't reach that area via wormholes because each wormhole is too short to reach the star in question. So they put in the starship (which they Christen: Second Chance or rather the captain named Wilson Kime does since he will captain her). So they put in a wormhole generator which will get them to the Dyson pair.The bad guys are a terrorist politic party on Far Away by the name of the Guardians of Selfhood, led by Bradley Johansson who's hiding somewhere but his presence is felt by the Commonwealth all the same for his operatives have stolen weapons & the Commonwealth doesn't know why just yet?
Nigel Sheldon & Ozzie Frenandez Isaac cerated a technology of wormhole generators that can have any human or alien travel to where ever they want or wish. Nigel sells a commercial verison to the Commonwealth It's known as Compression Space Transport. Humans have found a way to never die either called rejuvenation, many of the 600 worlds have rejuvenation centers on them. The commonwealth makes it known you have to do this to function by their rules if your part of sociality.
Ozzie actually has his very own asteroid that he lives on & he has his very own personal wormhole gateway. He is right now looking for the Silfen a race of aliens to see if he can find out what's happening at the Dyson pair of stars on this world known as Silverglade with a boy named Orion. Whose trying to find out from the Silfen whatever had happen to his parents. The Silfen that they encounter at this point are small but, they want to find adult ones which are in hiding. A cop named Paula Myo who has been trying to shut down the Guardians of Selfhood's main operation for over a 130 years is trying to catch a terrorist Adam Evlin who works for a Mr. Bradley Johansson who wants everything possible to stop the Second Chance Project at all cost. Myo for the time being is on a murder case of Tara Jennifer Shaheef but even though she's rejuvenated herself , she still doesn't know who or why she was murdered. The Second Chance has finally set out in it's search for the immediate space of where the Dyson pair of twin stars are. Once they get to that space they can see that there is a barrier in front of them, So they send in probes to investigate but could not be sure where the actual opening to the Dyson pair is?
Ozzie & Orion find the Silfen on Silverglade & find that not all of the Silfen are as aggressive as the ones that Orion knew from when he was a boy. They even still see it as well because those same Silfen have caught an alien that Orion promises to care for it if Ozzie will let it join them on their trek, the alien's name is Tochee. So they start off to the CST wormhole gateway before freezing to death. When the Second Chance does open the Dyson Pair space once they reach it, they are horrified to find the reason they couldn't see though the barrier is a huge war between two warring alien factions is still being fought, while trying not to be detected by the aliens they leave Dudley Bose & Emmanuelle Verbeke stuck on a place known as the Dark fortress they race back to Commonwealth space to tell them of their findings. Paula Myo's big murder case is complete she wins for Tara Jenifer Shaheef but what she & her partner Hoshe Finn don't realize is that Mellanie the killer's live in lover has joined a more determined force of investors that are part of one of many Bradley Johansson's more pressing enterprises to bring down the whole Commonwealth.
When the Second Chance returns to the Commonwealth they share all of what they found at the barrier at the Dyson Pair when that info the Common wealth decides to form a navy so that if they are attacked & when they will be ready. The aliens are known as Primes & how they know of the Commonwealth's tech & knowledge of space will surprise everyone who reads this yarn of a story for there's more to come in JUDAS UNCHAINED....
