Hello in the web world known Day life of the Matt readers/viewers,
You know here I talk about this guy
quite a lot or maybe something else scenic fictiony like. Well my tale today is a show in a leap of courageous faith. Which for me is very rarely shown thing, much less talked about as well? Just earlier today before starting work I broke my plastic spoon that I was going to eat my Yo-play Key lime pie favored yogurt which in a way super surprised me? ,wait a minute this is starting to sound like a
superman or hulk type of writing entry, say it isn't so? No like I said this is mostly about a part of me that is very much like Peter Parker (before he got bit by a certain arachnid during his origin from back in Amazing Fantasy # 15, please come with me as I show what part leads to this very entry, with a look back at "THAT SAID MOMENT
of spidey's origin). Now here's a little clue: it's not about gaining any kind of power (super or otherwise that I'm getting at) nor the need to feel that I need to pay family back by making moo la for all that they have ever done for me. I would do the latter in a heartbeat even for a friend if I had to simply out of love if one needed help in something or at least offer my best advice at any rate. But are those really the only two things we see in the boy or now a man who learns "with great power, comes great responsibility". I say NO we also see Peter overcome a great fear of what most of us are afraid to admit about heights. Today I notice our display for check stand four's Lover's Lane for valentine's day was dismantled, and the other main courtesy clerk was just about off from his lunch break. I asked our self checkout attendee "What's to be done with the boxes in checkout four?" they told me the other courtesy clerk "Will get it when he's back from his lunch break." I said "I'll be happy to do it of putting them where ever they go back to" so while I head to the back of the store for a ladder ( I like most people have a great deal of fears when come to being even two feet off the ground, yet I'm able to be fine in the air. go figure huh?) well with that said I can now at the same time say I happen to put those boxes back where they belong which is on top of the freezers on aisle nine. I did it also by at least for today conquering my fear of heights which I'm not so sure I'll be able to do again. Yet I hope to from now on no matter what the task is as long as I know what I'm doing that is as well.

Loving change for the month of love

Well it seems that today is yet again the start of yet another milestone of two thousand and twelve year, it happens to be the first of February. I gotta admit from the last few weeks of January I have felt like a royal knucklehead for not posting anything here, but when you feel like a rocket with to much fuel after yet again deleting your photos or at least most of them you see where I'm coming from?....At least I hope you will since I am now on the hunt nearly from scratch. It will without a doubt give me a chance to find most what I have lost and hopefully loved as well. Still here is what I had at the start of January as my desktop image
, pretty funny huh, a blend of TrekWars if that's not in any lexicon search pattern it sure as heck ought to be! I called it Master Jedi Spock and so it shall be again. Because I deleted that original folder by mistake I was using this one

for a while which is just as fancy if I do say so myself? Now because I did have such a mistake like that I as well lost the background plate photo to the site here as well I know what you are thinking? it's going to take him forever to find it again, well till a couple days ago I would have thought that too. Yet I kept forgetting I have the whole original HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE cartoon series on DVD, so I happen to look up the episode on the net just to be safe in a image search and title search of "EVIL SEED". When I had happen to watch the episode it self I found out something very intriguing for sure! So MOTU fans who read this one given day you will be in for a super sunrise?????!!! Anyhoo here is the site's January image

Hello to all,
This post here maybe my most uninteresting or maybe the most surprising thing you have ever laid your peepers on?, I know that since I have my 42 inch screen plasma television I would have the world as my oyster as to jumping at getting cable or Netflicks or any of the other forms of watching the big screen version of anything I wanted? Thankfully I have as you know a small well maybe medium size collection of DVDs and other forms of entertainment. What I really want to share about is this past Friday in the early morning right before I happened to get ready for work I was flipping back and forth on my TV when on one of those foreign networks I just so happen to get I saw a lady interviewing this guy
about his Barbarian comic that he puts out through who I didn't learn. All I know is he mentioned this guy
who is famous just because of his art skills alone. Before the segment was over the interviewer asked him about "How well do you think a comic about wine would go over in the states?" He said the oblivious of course " I don't think it would that I know of?" the segment then went and showed these two English men

who are actually truly making a premise of wine in comics in where else Italy of course. All that I can say to them as with every time I speak on what I have heard is "Good Luck sirs and may you be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor

with founding success."

A great late night movie from TBN, last night

Hey out there to all,
I still can't believe it? , yet it was just so darn AWESOME, is really all that I dare say about this movie that I caught on TBN into the wee hours of this morning. I went and had just gotten done watching a cool anime at little after eleven, when I started flipping the remote back and forth to see if anything could be a decent fine at all before hitting the pillow off to dreamland. I all of sudden stopped on one of my Christian broadcasting stations it was the image of seeing John Schneider (from yes two favorite series that are mentioned here quite a lot by the way is how come the name is so familiar to you as well), in this whatever it was he played a community pastor leader in a place that was looking to turn misguided youth around and focus their attention on GOD. In the course of this story he found four teen three boys and girl, after finding out that each was heading towards "A STREET DRIVEN life" he got in touch with some faith believing cowboys and had the three boys the girl was still not to her broken point yet, go on a road experience. On the way to where they all going of the boys one of them tries to hide stuff under his shirt and the bus driver sees this and makes him be honest about what he did to the convenient store cashier. At this point we find out the young girl is being hassled by guy to do bad "street life stuff", John's character intervenes and helps her join the three boys on their road trek, by plane. Each of these young characters still view the outside world as their true only hope in dealing with everything. Once at their point of origin they all learn that at first to get somewhere fun in whatever you do requires hard dedication towards getting there and never stop believing in GOD for help of being strong to FAITH. After working at learning this they cowboys offer to let them have fun in partaking helping with a fundraiser redo show.During this time one of the "street life gangs comes looking for the boys to of course offer them recruitment in the gang again, the one troubled kid who had stolen from the convenient store saves the day by asking for GOD'S Praise in saving one of the other boys , and in the end that boy wins them all scholarships to further their educations. Now as to what TBN stands for is Trinity Broadcasting Network, for those of you all wondering and I'm now wishing I just knew the title of the movie I saw?, ah well I guess the good ol internet will be good for something in the next few days or so for me by the looks of it!

Dumped on by the "White Stuff"

Brrr it truly freezing outside,
This has been on the weather monitor for quite the pass few weeks now. It is still coming down to even as I try to bring out the words to describe the pure ice that is seen here: , , , .
I just know from hearing the roar of the snow plows at four fifteen (I'm not really sure if that was the right time , but for sure it wasn't much longer till I just couldn't close my eyes) this morning. It's going to not only be HARD,
to work at pushing the carts at Abertson's through the "White Stuff" it will be ever so bad if the wind will be blowing even more of it around as it will I am sure certain will continue to come down through out the whole day. I am sure that every kid was excited to hear that they can't go to school for a couple of hours, they maybe even some who got to stay home all day and play in the "White Stuff" . If two kids I know had happen to of got that chance I DO HOPE they made a couple of snow angels, or whatever else they could come up with to do with the snow. I myself plan on something after work if I'm not to exhausted (see the snow plows or city sweepers) woke me up at a little after four thirty in the morning, so I'm sure I'll try to have fun with the "White Stuff" too....

for aren't those other two part of the D.C. comic universe? Or were for the last eighty eight years before some family members of Jerry Segeal wanted to rip apart a tapestry comic book lore for money. Well I Matt,wish I could be the ONE fan to show MARVEL how crazy they are for messing with the Parkers love life, but for them it's not about "EVERY SPIDER-FAN" being contented with how Peter's life is brought across....for them to it about $, which sad for a FAN like me who loves promise of growth in the things, I always read. Yet why I'm writing today is to show that maybe a whole high school class can be reflective of being heroes for which I know NO colorful tights are ever needed to show the true emotion of Love and here they are the who class of Hanford High 1991

You know what is truly spooky about today's date?, only thing I can think of is it ain't the month of goblins it don't matter if they are green or not?, or that a black cat is nearby you or if there is one I'd run far, far, far away from it, if I were you. Also you shouldn't have a taste for walking under a ladder today if you superstitious in anyway.....and if you are by the way it not the month of October or at least NOT yet it isn't! Actually it's the first month of two thousand and twelve. Yet how does anyone really know when the today's date
will fall on the track of time called a calendar?, well here is the easiest way like the TV series LOST with #'s 4,8,15,16,23,42 as Hurley's lucky or (rather in this case not so lucky numbers) you can count on the calendar to be set up like this sixth, blank, twentieth, twentieth seventh for the days Friday will fall on. Now all kidding aside, in truth I bet your day went pretty well for the most part right???? But if at at last you need to think of being scarred today just think of this guy

What I am very intrigued by is that there are a lot of us around the world who use these nifty things called computers. "Hold it a minute your saying to yourself "I don't have one of those electronic gizmos no way in a million years would I ever want one..." Believe you, me I know a lot of people who don't have these things, they would much rather prefer finding information in something like these

or even a newspaper to catch up on the day's events. What I really want to know from you my reading public thinks of how do you like getting your everyday information? At the touch of a button or actually holding it in your hand and seeing it that way?

Hey sweet tooth lover of all candies,
Let me ask you who would you trust to protect any if not all sweets from coming your way if your on a diet? I know that not to long ago well maybe it was a few weeks at least, but I am sure you will remember when I showed you these boxes
of Chocolate covered stocking stuffers? Well over this weekend here I went shopping for Magnets see yesterday entry if you had happen to forgot! which is silly since you just read it I'm guessing? Other than picking up those magnets at Hastings I really went looking there for the "Mercy Me" music disc that has "I can only Imagine" track at first I was looking in the books at the newest comic book colored price guide. I of course was hoping to see how low priced "One More Day" arc of Spider-Man was going for just to laugh at Marvel's greatest mishap, as I see it. I then headed over to the section where the music compact discs are and eventually I did happen to find a duel pack of a Mercy Me music CD/DVD that yes I made sure had the song I was hoping to find. As I went looking for those two magnets I also came across two more things that I wanted one was a set of Marvel pins that I can wear. The other was a well showing you might be better so here you go, I found a Brainy Smurf with his classic pose of "Papa Smurf and I always say....." just before all of the other smurfs well you know, what happens! Anyway, I thought it would help to have strength when I'm weak for sweets and why not have one of those little three apples high friends known as Smurfs. Of course mine is Known as Brainy just having him on these boxes is truly helpful indeed!

A great use for a super type of magnet(s)

Hey there everyone,
You wanna know something I noticed earlier this week?, that I would be needing some super weights for holding up that Star Trek calendar I showed you in the post from well actually yesterday. So later today I will be heading to "Adventures Underground" because the type of super weights I referring to are collectables in of course relating to superheroes but of course? So by a super weight I am of course talking about magnets like these seen on the front of refrigerator here , ,
, ,, So as you can already see I have more than enough magnets already by the looks of it right?, Sorry for being a bit overzealous in showing all the family and friends that I am that are held by those super weights, by the way. Like I said I wanted some very special super weights I got all but two seen here at "Adventures". I also picked up a couple comics while there more that at some other time. Here are those magnets I'm talking about , the two that I got at somewhere else are the Justice League one and the Purple Decepticon Transformer one. I got those at Hastings which is on the same street as "Adventures Underground" they are just a parking lot away from each other in the north part of town. Finally here is what those super weights or Magnets are holding up on the side of my fridge. The two thousand twelve Star Trek calendar!

Who doesn't want to share a peek at least?,
You know it was just a little while ago that a jolly elf known as Santa came to see everyone who was not super, not bad, and in truth not just good as a tale about him coming to town usually goes... He brings smiles in someway or other to all in the sense of rejoicing in loving your fellow human being. Okay I admit maybe I have Ol Saint Nick, known as Santa Clause mixed up with fellow called Jesus. Yet in truth I know my real reason of sharing this with you is to show you almost everything I got on Christmas morning I still have a few gifts to find out what they are? here is what I got from family
near and far expect for one thing that should soon be in the mail and on it's way. As for the aforementioned presets I think on Saturday I will be finding those at a friend's place in Richland.For all who did give me a gift and I forgot to remember in tiring to send you one please think of this post as a kind offering of thanks that's just now a great big way of saying I care for you even though it always a little hard to know what to get you on Christmas day.

Ready for a strange First Aid type of tale,
Boy when I was just thinking earlier this morning about something to post here and coming up blank, I should remember the name Righer Steelson for a main character in my next yarn whatever it will be called?, also I should have known I haven't had anything from the place of where I work known as Ablertson's posted here this year. Yet we must all remember the year of two thousand and twelve is only ninety six hours old. Before I get to far into this I gotta ask do you all recall that one image from my Easter postings from two years ago....well if not that okay but in it, it had this cool red car that had

you know who on it fighting Venom. Well today at work shorty after one I was out gathering up a set of our mini carts out in the parking lot over by the fuel center as I was coming up to the nearest cart coral to get a small amount of the carts there when all of a sudden I just stopped dead in my steps and caught myself laughing lightly to myself. You know you want to ask don't you? well here is the answer plain as if you were eating a pizza with whipping cream on it (what you haven't ever tried that?) I saw this champagne Grey colored car with I kid you not a Band Aid on the area of where the gas tank should have been, while I was awe struck a regular customer that I have helped in years past was coming out to her car and asked me "What are you giggling about?" I brought her over to where the car was and I said "Look at that do you think that the driver/owner must be embarrassed or ashamed of a scratch from a fender bender incident not so long ago?" She pondered it for a moment herself and said "well maybe, but whatever the case I think you should check the gas cap area all the same?" I had told her that it was mt first thought too. She had left a few minutes later and I was still mighty curious I just had to know. So I went over to the other side of the car and on that side was the Gas tank unscratched at all I then went and looked on the back window of the car it had a huge White butterfly with many more coming out it. I really felt silly because I think I had figured it to be that the owner of the car was either a doctor?, a nurse? or a surgeon? but it had never occurred to me that maybe someone put their greatest fear on their vehicle as a grand joke to help them through tough times for when seeing their doctor. All I wish is that I did have my digital camera to show what made me bust a gut the rest of the day, but maybe next time I guess, ah well....

I gotta say this early morning when I saw today's strip of Spidey's newspaper adventure I had a roaring hoot of laughter flow from me I nearly cried. I had also heard that a part of the "Man in Black" No not the Johnny Cash movie or song title by the way, had a sad passing today in part of the many people who played this

ventilator breathing fellow from the Star Wars saga. Better known as Darth Butter nah really it's Darth Vader that I'm speaking of, of course?, but more on that in a moment or to. Right now I wanna say a few words of how awesome Stan Lee is just because he is, and the mentioning of classic Detective Comics leading heroin Wonder Woman who is now back in her classic look as seen here

where she seems to be tossing herself out of a match with herself. ( if you wanna know more about that outfit change up checkout "Wonder Woman Stripped of her American Flag look, posted back in July two thousand and ten) the two bit hood that is talking to both Thor and Mary Jane Parker has got the best bit and once again Stan shows us something that Marvel comics flatly refuses to admit THAT the SPIDER-MARRIAGE (so sorry for being on my soap box again about the very topic) is very much a work in the greatest growth of a pair of characters who makes no deal with no devil to make that said character more relate able to kids only because kids think being married is well in a child's eye something to never be understood because they don't need to see or witness that part of life in their idols of heroes mainly mom or dad. Stan as I have shown here before has taken heroes from that other comic universe many times and brought more recognition to all comic heroes. Which is needed to boost the comic market as a whole right now anyway, as far as what I've heard from people I know who are collectors like I once was, wish I could be again but I know I got to be more ready for any given day when it should come. As for who is Rosco your asking right? he was the county sheriff played by James Best who is on the other side of John Schneider's Bo Duke character seen here
he had a laugh a line that any fan of Dukes of Hazzard got. You know the one I talking about when he got excited "I love it, I love it Police works my life, I love it, I love it" I am so glad that at least Peter Parker's co creator respects his fans by showing that Mary Jane is a very strong character when push comes to shove.
Now on to the Vader part of what I had happen to of learn about today is a part of him is deceased as of two days ago. It will surprise you that this person wasn't David Prowse who was the actor who played the part of Anakin Skywalker father of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia from in the original Star Wars films hasn't died neither has the man with the booming voice James Earl Jones hasn't passed on yet either, although that's all anyone really knows who played the Lord of the Sith in those movies right? Well here's a stunner for you there was a stuntman named Bob Anderson who did the sword fighting sequences of the light saber dueling, in Star Wars V the Empire Strikes Backs and Star Wars VI Return of the Jedi, he did on New Years day passing away at the age of what Stan Lee himself just turned eighty nine.

A few minutes ago I was wondering what to spool out today?, when on Yahoo's main page I saw something called Science Fiction day more on this in a few seconds.....,yet today is really the grand daddy of science writers Isaac Asimov birthday he was born in nineteen twenty and died on April sixth nineteen ninety two. Did I say science writer above what I meant was SF writer (the F stands for Fiction). Anyone who loves science fiction of weather it the two big American Icons of this or
this , I hope that today you let your true inner nerd-ism out. and if you want to pop in a DVD of the TZ
, if you don't know of those other two. Perhaps I would even more so recommend pulling out a novel on the genre weather it's good or not doesn't matter.....What does matter is that YOU willing celebrate today as if it's your first time hearing of it. I know it's been a few days since I last started a novel and my next choice is "IN CONQUEST BORN" by C.S. Friedman.

New Year, New ideas, for a date known as the 1st

Today is the first day of 2012. What are you plans in the way of promising change for Your life?,for you see with ever start of every year there is a little famous thing known as a or many New Resolutions most anyone makes to make their lives easier. For me I think what I will try to stick to mostly is catching past entries of this blog itself, now I DO know that that seems a bit cliche since I am always working at it here and there as best I can as I keep trying to do anyway. I do think a Resolution I can make that won't be bad is getting back into art of drawing again, for it has been quite a few years that I have tried to use a pencil and a piece of paper to create something from the place called my noggin. Also I think I will try to be more open to like I decided last year of saying "Hello or Hi to everyone I know and not know as well, for I will say it again like I did last year: "Besides with making a resolution such as this, you'll succeed where ever you go in life, and you will win more than lose at any given time." I'm almost sure later on in the month I will also come up with something as well, to apply to this very year and be very humble with what it is! One thing for sure that I know won't change here at the site though is the idea of my guessing game of the monthly changing of plates of what I have as my desktop from the previous moth. Abe's Vamppy days....

Hey All are you ready for a blood dripping analysis of a horror book?,
Right after the beloved holiday known as Christmas, you want your reading public to think your plain crackers, right Matt is that it?, No I don't not really but I just am now done with my first foray into horror fiction that I was sharing back during the month of October. Does anyone remember this cover from a entry dated Oct .24th, of this year. If not go find it If you dare????

And now for that bloody Abe Vampire Hunter review. Really this book has a lot of fun with our honored sixteenth Prez in many ways yet it mostly the captions under photo shopped images throughout this yarn that scare the reader with laughter (at least I seem to think so anyway). Most of what the writer did was of course add simply blood sucking Vampires as Abraham Lincoln's foes and one known as "Henry" that is Abe's friend and mentor in dealing with his blood brothers. Abe is learning much of what his parents can't in books by log fires as a boy from what his mother offers because of course she wants him to do much better than they are limited too. One night she is attacked by a vampire (here is where I'm guessing...), for Thomas Lincoln Abe's father has had a deal with one. The Vampire says when Thomas refuses to live up to their said deal "Then I'll take it in other ways" Abe comes to find out from his dad whom he doesn't like that his grandfather had given over the family farm to people who claimed to be part of Shawnee tribe of Indians that were pale faced and was killed because he didn't, and young Thomas was a witness to the whole thing.

It seems as if the one day that every or any sized kid has finally arrived the day known as Christmas the day when WE will remember those WE will love and are also misfortune who need to be loved. It is nice when you can help those you will NEVER KNOW today by offering a little piece of real love which is mainly spending time with them if you can, we all tend to get wrapped up in the meaning that today is about presents yet it's a whole lot more than that alone.
Christmas is really about giving of yourself not giving just gifts but hopefully the love that has been missing from that person's life that you knew (or always thought you knew had it made in everything that they have in life), let say your friend that you have loved always from afar is needing help in finding a little something to strengthen their relationship with their children, yet they come to you their still single friend from long ago for gift ideas you can offer the best kind of love by what YOU say in words more than you can any other way. You can help the poor people of your town by lending a helping hand at the local mission. You can most certainly can help anyone you know or not every met mostly by bringing them to knowing GOD, today and it doesn't mean THEY HAVE TO CHOOSE, what you offer them as the only answer, but by day's end YOU KNOW that YOU TRIED and that is what matters most. As if asking me did I enjoy my Christmas day ways of partying I say "yes resoundingly so" even though some

Hello there Santa I know that soon you will be here at my house even through I know that your probably are on the other side of the planet right now headed this way with ol Rudolph leading your sleight through who knows what kind of stormy weather, yet you will be back at the North Pole soon for a trek here to good ol USA. I just wanted you to know People believe in you as a gift giver with a heart of kindness especially when some may think gift giving is the only way of having a true friendship with other people, you show us as much as God's son Jesus does that everyday matters...whether a person has a heart or not the know that they have a soul in them that matters to loved ones no matter how far away in steps or miles they are a away. They still love a little old man who bears a bit of hope no matter if it helps a lot or a little... It is that we people of belief know more kindness or compassion in the matter of caring...I want you to know MY Soul know why believing in you matters more than that? It's because at some given time in our lives WE ALL FORGET that we need hope during the holiday seasonal time of year. You Santa help remind us ALL it's okay to a little kid again if only for one day. You matter as the bearer of faith in anyone can matter so long as they have something to believe in.... A cool stocking stuffer, even through I won't be having a stocking by the fire place

It so close to here isn't it though.....
Can anyone really believe how super close the day known as Christmas is away right now?, well for all of the children of the planet earth (me I am in there as well it's only three days away...) I want to talk about stocking stuffers. I know children of any age really, really, really can not wait to get up on Christmas morn when your parents are still very much in the land of zzzzs to see what is under that bright lit up green tree with all of the presents beneath it ( NO kid can deny it you just can't believe me, I know....). Well where I live I don't have a fireplace where I can hang a stocking from to put the little things Santa brings you, although I guess for next year I can always try hanging a stocking off of my kitchen counter where I happen to have my own stocking stuffers as you can all see .
I know most everyone loves a little candy on that morning I mostly remember my brother and sister and I got either the storybook Lifesavers candy boxes or those chocolate covered sticks also I think one or two years when we were tykes I recall the Chinese wrapper candies you could eat along with the candies. Yet I also remember, my grandaddy Ben Powers loving that top box of milk chocolate covered cherries every Christmas morning or actually anytime he could buy them year around. The two bottom ones are chocolate covered blue berries which are new this year I know I love those and when I saw them on our holiday selection shelf at work I knew that I had to keep the promise to at least try them. So I shall come Sunday morning regardless that I don't have a stocking to reach into and pull them out of, aw well you can't win all the time huh? I will enjoy them anyway in the coming year.

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA , where the miniseries leads to....

Hey sci-fi and Christmas pals,
Last month I finally started watching the updated take on BSG with the miniseries, that I have mentioned here about quite a lot. The main reason I finally decided to give this a kick start was that after hearing about it from so many friends at work speak so highly of it and to have another foray of good, no make that great science fiction a gutsy try. Also the main reason was outside of that was to have another conversation piece to banter back and forth with my sister in law Kathie about, since she like me is a sci-fi nerd as well...... If you recount what I said in the second part of BSG caparison I never really told you much of what was going on in the Miniseries itself other than that a certain machine race was in another main character's head.....What I didn't share with you was that those machines known as Cylons have evolved into a lot more than just "Robotic Toaster ovens"as the character whom has one implanted in his head told us, as I have said before in the miniseries. Now I still won't reveal everything of the mini (other than it takes us up to five hours after is where we begin with the series itself:) After Admiral Adama has promised everyone in the hope of finding the mystical planet called earth and the colonies from the twelve parts of the galaxy unsteadily put their trust in backing the militate choice of the newest president to let the military guard them while being hunted down by the cylons prove a bit tiring you could say. Meanwhile one member of Galactica, is still trapped on Cylon occupied Carpica being studied by the main Cylon leaders for what propose is still unknown at least till the end of the season anyway. There is a bomb that blows Galactica's main water tanks, which makes everyone think that someone is a Cylon in the crew. After training new Vipper trainees StarBuck is lost in a fight with a Cylon raider, when Adama and his son refute the president's order leave her behind as a loss they start to understand more about the Cylons because StarBuck uses the downed raider to get back to Galactica. Then they find not earth but the hidden planet called Kobal. At the end of the season we do find out in spades that there is a Cylon among them as copy known as number six has been telling Baltar for quite sometime. It turn out that Cylon Drone opens fire on Adama as things just start escalating with a onslaught of raiders trapping the whole fleet that Galactica is leading out of Cylon space....

Hello out there to all,
I just know it was a few seconds of a dream that I had earlier this morning, but I know somehow and somewhere for sure that come Christmas day morning something very special will happen for or to me?, now just so you all know next Sunday will be Christmas day by the way. I will be the first to admit I usually have it pretty easy of getting family and friends gifts for the special day known as the 25th of December but this year it's been I don't know a little harder I guess in a way and maybe besides the awesome dream I had I just need to reassure myself Matt everything will be okay no matter what the thing is you give. This dream that I had was about my dad and heaven. He still is gone no matter how it happen of his passing away but I saw him with his dad and his brother Jim and my mother's dad Ben Powers and for some reason I could only focus on my dad I was wanting to cry because he was so young they all were. I was I guess thinking of dad a lot this past week maybe just because I still feel alone and empty without those that I know are good people in when they were living here on earth. Anyway the four of them were playing a game of poker and what made it so neat was it was they were enjoying it as if it was a speical game for the joy of playing a game with Christmas tunes being heard on the day off during a remembrance of a army training session but there was finally no more that had to be done and they saw me or dad did and he looked at me in his purple tee shirt and said "Don't worry everything will be alright no matter what you get everybody this Christmas they'll love whatever it will be?', the funny thing was he didn't really say the words he just showed it in a smile no less.... I hugged him and then woke up. I think when your stressed just dream and the answer will always come of course but most especially at Christmas time.

Hello Santa picture seekers or at least wishing to get a pic with ol saint Nick,
Last night right after I got off of work I called Kathie my sister in law to ask her if she would like to bring Cannon and Heidi my brother's kids over to Albertson's to have a photo session with the famous toy maker from a filling sense of the season, better known as Santa Claus. She asked me all the right questions such as "What time does it start?, or Does it cost any money for the pictures after they are taken?" I had the answer to both said questions "Which were at noon to three and by donation" she told me Heidi had a birthday party she was headed to at one but outside of that she saw no problem with the plan. So at eleven fifteen I went to Subway had a light lunch and waited for them at Albertson's with a few surprises that they didn't know I was bringing. When they got there which was about ten after noon I had already found out where Santa was set up as I was waiting for Kathie to get her kids some lunch I had shown both Heidi and Cannon where Santa was set up along with revealing my surprises which was a Santa themed holiday hat for each of them while having a time with Santa. Santa. Kathie had then using my digital camera took this shot of me posing with the kids and Santa and his elf

and after getting these photo with Santa Kathie had shared with me that she much more appreciated this photo op instead going to the mall with them and never being able to have but those where she can't share them with family as easy because of copyright law and she knew her donated monies were going to needy families. So all in all, I think we both got a little something out it because I wanted a family photo with the kids as well. Also one last thing we were Santa's first posers which made Heidi's day for sure since she wasn't wanting to miss that birthday party.

Another great day has come for a very delightful woman that I call sister. Today is my older sister Merri (Watson) Mickleson's birthday and I may not have the greatest memory when it comes to age for any female (whether we are related by blood or by marriage in our family, but that isn't what matters..) Merri has always been one of my many beacon(s) of helping me Matt know when it's right in putting our or in this case myself humbling before our loving father known as GOD. She happens to have ten wonderful kids with her husband Ken. Whom she met in nineteen eighty seven or was it eighty eight Merri? when she was going to collage in Spokane Washington. I am sure she has enjoyed with her family getting ready for Jesus Birthday as most Christen American household are doing this time of year. The greatest thing that she does every year is send out a Family newsletter which is Awesome to receive every year....I'm not sure I can think of anything more to say expect "Happy Birthday Merri" loving you no how far away your living away.

Hello to the dreamers of tomorrow whomever you be,
Originally today I had come up with a titled story known as "The Christmas ring of hope" and also remembered it's my stepsister's Merri's Birthday see next entry above. Yet even after working on finding more post to tweak here after watching a little TV before even deciding to write for today I ended up staying awake till the wee hours of the morning of Friday the sixteenth of December. When I came across a few more things later to write about in the coming weeks after the celebrated holiday, one was a entry on my web browser of this fellow seen here his name is Christoper Hitchens died today as well, now he was a "Vanity Fair" magazine editor or journalist that was famous for writing a book called "GOD IS NOT GOD" now I won't go any further than that because I'm sure you can tell he never was a believer in GOD, which is okay but still he was entitled to his beliefs and leave it at that. He was sixty two years of age of his passing, yet in a corner of his pictured link I saw it had Comic book Legend Dies...... I know that of course everyone must die at sometime but the first person who jumped into my head of passing away that IS A Comic book Legend was Stan Lee the most renown comic creator that I could think of so I closed my eyes as I opened the link. It wasn't Lee who had passed away (please stay as healthy as you can Stan...) It was someone whom he had known though years ago from when Marvel Comics was known as Timely Comics back in the late nineteen thirties a man who was the company's first editor in chief under Stan's uncle Martin Goodman. He along with Jack Kirby had created the man
who is known to the world as CAPTAIN AMERICA in the month of March ,1941 Jack
was the illustrator and the man whom passed away today from the flu (I think I'm not sure what it was) comic writer Joe Simon.
The best part of Simon and Kirby character is he got to see it in many variations besides their own take on the comic Icon I just hope he was happy with each one as it gave the character new blood throughout many generations....somehow I think he was? don't you think so as well?

Flying over all of "SMALLVILLE" season one review

If you will recall,
It was right after Turkey day on Black Friday that I had finally decided after seeing a add for it in this year's Comic-Con TV GUIDE special which in truth I can't recall when I picked it up. ( I think was in late August) I remember I had gotten it to see if there was a wee bit of hope beyond hope that the new take on "V" had somehow had been secretly renewed at the last possible second because I just had a feeling that someone had done something to prove ABC of it's fatal mistake in axing the series, but alas it was still X-ed off of the viewing map when I saw inside a DVD second season offered. I wanted to see what else it had inside besides countless previews of new stuff coming (this now, past fall) I seemed to recall seeing a advertisement ad on that show I was watching over this past summer known as "SMALLVILLE". I remember how engrossed I was while watching that final season before leaving for Ecuador, at any rate the ad showed this box set of the whole series coming out it said "this fall". I even waited till almost midnight, but I just couldn't hold out see for after watching the last season of this series, which aired just before I had left for visiting my folks in Cuenca Ecuador with my two nieces Bethany Paige and her older sister Petra I was wanting more. And I was thinking of it as a early Christmas present to a real comic fan.
Luckily for me, while over there I found a way to watch past episodes (that were in English) almost every night or at least in the time frame of when we were at the beaches coming back to the united states. One last thing before I get into the heart of the review itself I recall that even though I didn't have cable at the time of when promoting the series I did get all of these TV GUIDE covers , that I do know I have in storage.
The series starts out much like how any Superman focused tale does with his coming to our little planet known as earth. In the pilot we see that at Smallville high the school jocks have a frat initiation going on where they have some poor freshman tied to a cornfield scarecrow cross and a very young Lex (also having the name lengthen to Alexander for the character) is running through that very field as a strange ship comes to crash in it. The story then jumps into where the boy found in the strange ship is attending Smallville high himself. Throughout the season you find out out that it's mostly of Clark learning more about some his powers and dealing with helping kids his own age or younger with finding a path for their own lives...If you know the Superman films of the late seventies into the late eighties that Clark's mother Martha Kent is played by Annette O Toole whom played in those who Kristin Kreuk portrays here Clark's Kansas girlfriend Lana Lang. Former Duke boy "Bo" John Schneider plays Johnathan Kent his earth daddy. We come to find out that parts of Krypton that weaken Clark seems to give every human in each story a power effect in someway. The band whom sings the theme appears in the finale as the band invited to preform at the school dance, when the twister strikes and Clark's ship leaves the Kent farm cellar on it own power it leaves one wondering what's coming next?

A couple of early Christmas gifts that are always nice

Any gift is nice even if it's so close to
that wonderful day of giving known as Christmas. Although today was really filling for me with people from all over complimenting me on my Santa hat it was the regular one that I usually wait till right before the BIG EVE known as Christmas Eve. Well one of my great customers that I nick named "the Cat Food lady" said to me before she went shopping "That to get "ALL THE LADIES" to sit on my lap I'd need to grown out my beard now I will admit I forgot to shave today to before I go any further with this.She also said something about there being "NO KIDS ALLOWED IF I were to be the fella from the North Pole just so I could find a way to get a date. Of course I knew she was teasing me all the same.So when I saw her at the checkout line I hoped over to help bag her groceries , next thing I knew she was handing me a pack of Subway restaurant gift cards totaling 30.00. I told her I can't accept this because of Albretson's store rules. Yet my second early Christmas gift was even earlier in the day when I saw my former step mom whom was married to my dad her name is Lynne she told me she was "Up here for a week visiting with her three kids and that since her dad passed away sometime last year as well she is taking care of her mother in Arizona" I wish her well as I do any of my customers and said "I hope you enjoy you time with the girls and Brandon her elder son which he's a year or two younger than I, I think? Anyway these were as I said the title of this blog"Always nice to get during this time of year.

Trying decide on something I haven't for very long time and a guestrue of the heart

Time for getting into Christmas viewing mode,
There many ways one can do this here is about my thoughts in at least coming up with a added bit of seeing a good deed preformed as well. Here's something I haven't gone done for a huge amount of time to really get me Matt into the holiday spirit, and that is go and go through all of my TV series that I have and besides watching Christmas themed movies make a event of watching those special episodes, plus I'm thinking of pulling out my own Christmas specials of cartoon holiday giving out for good measure as well. Today before I got off from work I saw a great show of rare giving and I'm not sure if it was because it's T'his season of hope in giving and loving one another but a gentleman help a lady out that was having troubles with her payment card and said "It's on me" to her when she offered to pay him with cash for helping her out of a bind. I also think now I'm not sure for certain but maybe he saw my holiday hat that I was wearing and it also helped in getting him into the joy of just doing that, but hey what do I know right?

A very interresting Holiday Mystery finally solved?

Well where to start with this Holiday mystery is that I think that even the gang seen here
,would think a problem was on the rise this year much like I had been guessing at myself in some way or other? yet even they wouldn't have to look for a person hiding under a sheet or using a movie camera to try to scare them off for a clue at all! Here is the only clue that anyone wanting to read this needs to know one of the MAJOR charities that has a RED kettle that anyone can put loose change into? That is right the answer is the Salvation Army organizers have for this year during the month with a Turkey on the fourth Thursday of that month not been around our town known as the Tri-Cities. I for just wanting to know where they were so far, I went and asked my store director Cliff if he had heard anything at all so far? Just on Thursday this week. He said "I have been in contact with them via telephone calls but I don't know as yet either as to when they will start for this year. But your so very right they usually are already ringing their bells by now. For those wanting to know the Salvation Army is one of many organizations that is there to help even the poorest of people that have nothing at all. The Mystery was without a doubt answered yesterday by me for my own inquiring at a little after two pm. I am so glad and thankful for ALL organizations that are out there regardless if it is a Holiday or not.

Hey it's COLD outside,
Last night it got rather how can I say near freezing. In fact I had to double up when I was getting ready for work today, yet when I looked outside there wasn't even a flake of the "White Stuff" as I have come to call it this year. Although it was "White" in color from a Icy filled fog that rolled in as the cause of the frigid weather transition. And it was strange throughout the day because Iswear I saw little bits of snow but in truth it was falling fog I think that besides it being cold as it is outside it is still very nice when you can get a nice photo of the dead trees covered in something other than leaves at this time of year good luck with that unless it would be in a Greenhouse, and sorry to say I didn't have my camera to snap a photo of this beautiful set of any trees. I did though just get a couple of shots of this tree

across from Albretson's and Subway just a few minutes ago. So even though it is mighty cold out there for the next few days it is without a doubt very nice for some pre Winter pictures if you can bare the weather be sure to bundle up if you do though.......

So please let me ask you outside of wanting to feel like a child on a certain day coming up this very month we all know which day I'm referring to right? (I hope no aliens are reading this....) for if there are any aliens peering at this from their space ship I think of them scathing their heads trying to find out what little words are doing on their monitors in odd colors about what certain day known as Christmas day, would they come to find out more about life here on the little blue and green planet called earth I know not anymore than you on that note..... Seriously through now that I got that spacy idea outta my head for now I want to know what type of things help get you into the thought process of giving generously to others? would it be buying that someone you know a meal?, or giving them something special like I know some do every year of sending a letter of things they have done over the past year (boy those are great and you know who you are?) or would it be the baking all kinds of tasty goodies.....well whatever it is that does get you into the giving portion I'm sure that somewhere in the background there is a Christmas song playing around you if not in your heart. For me in the way of those songs they have to be plain funny to getting me in the right place into opening up to Christmas spirit.....

Hello,
I want to say before I get started here like yesterday I had a whole other plan of thoughts relating to what I was going to write about today, yet I sure whatever I truly had planned will be forthcoming rather soon. Or I'm hoping it will.....Today at Albly before I was going to go grab carts before I went to lunch Kelsey my boss asked me to come with her before I went to get them. I asked as I always try to when she asks as politely like she did "what is this was about?" as she and I got close to the dual check stand across from the self checkout she said "Congratulations Matt, you have been chosen as the store's employee of the month for November of this year" I was well awe struck to say in the least. I asked her "Your joking or kidding with me right?" She said "The whole management team decided and that I was the one they choose" All except Joel, I'd imagine right, Kelsey?"was my half heated joke to her she replied "Even Joel would have even though he is a bit of a nut, but you know he's not in Management anyway...." Kelsey then went to get the store's Digital camera forme to have my picture taken she told me "You have three second to decide where you want your photo taken?" I had happen to have at least two great outside shots planned, but instead we took it right across from the stickers/toys/candy machine. And when you look at the photo on the wall it loks like we got it just before the sun was starting to set.
Not to be really proud of this or feel like I'm gloating to the whole world but, I feel that even though I got this little bit of recognition that everyone I help from all of my coworkers to every costumer I also help it really means more to me Matt to be helpful in everything I do everyday that I have the means to do that work of helping out no matter what that matters to me most of all!

I most certainly had happen to have other plans for today's posting and with a lot of us as a people being on the very optimistic verge of not knowing what will come next year on the omnibus date December 21st, 2012...... Many think that something deadly awful will happen to us as a whole! now I'm not claiming to know the far future at all..... expect hopefully my own. Before writing anything I saw something very intriguing on one of my YAHOO news windows that brought a great sense of what we need during this time of year. That would be HOPE, if your wanting to know of sharing good news of every kind and this really does qualify! A NASA telescope has found in the constellation of vela (the sail) which is located thirty five light years from our planet earth has found what is known as a Super Earth:
it is being called H D 85512 b and yes it seems to have liquid H2o. Even though I'd love to be able to take a certain fictional star ship there (boy I wonder what's it's name would be?) I like a lot of you would still be leery to put our kind on a place we would know as Eden because ONE THING needs to happen , and that would be is WE need to grow in a way of accepting changing OUR destructive ways of caring for the very place we call planet earth.

So yes, before you ask I am talking about a old game made by Midway programming known as Mortal Kobat made in the late nineteen eighties and early nineteen nineties for various gaming platforms. Sometime ago last summer I went over to a gaming store called GameStop and was searching for another game altogether, for my Playstation 2 system. I had also happen to find the tri pack MK Kollcetion for my system this includes Mortal Kobat Deception,Mortal Kobat Shaolin Monks,Mortal Kobat Armageddon , the one I wish to talk about is the last one and a fellow from my favorite childhood toon Skeletor. When I first saw that you could make your own characters fighters on this game I of course started out with Marvel comics guy seen here
,any of the Green ones as if there's any doubt to what I'm referring to?, maybe sometime I 'll show you what it looks like?, I may even make a grey colored model before I write it as well! Let us get back to He-Man's arch foe the real meaning of this. I found out I could change the Kobat Fighter's model of a human male's skin tone to this color I am now writing in. So I changed it. Then I went looking through the face models and found a flaming skull at first, the a normal one, so I of course changed it from white to olive green. I then went through the upper armor choices and found a set of cross bones, coming along rather nicely don't you think so far? I then went scooping out the torso section to see the type of slashes the game offered and sure as to see the types of slashes the game offered and sure as gold they had a prefect match. I then went back to his shoulders and attached his iconic harness shoulder plates. I then went to his feet I made them from what I recalled the toy figure having and NOT what the cartoon character did of purple boots, I then found I could add on a cowl type of hood as the character originally had. I then colored all of his suit colors properly purple. Here is what two screen shots look like of the finished product: ,

I am sure that as always you know when someone I know is having a aging day it just so happens to get plugged into place here on the site. Well today happens to be my brother Micheal's day of reflection from the past year, my sister in law his wife Kathie had called me a couple of days ago and emailed me on Facebook about the party plans a day before letting me in on the phone. WE had high hopes of trying out the new steak house restaurant in Kennewick across from Ranch and Home here's there sign front
as you enter. We came to find out that sometimes it just doesn't pay to try something when it is still very new, this place had opened a week before Turkey day and there was at least a two and a half hour waiting time for our party to be seated.....If we'd stayed that is. It was already after six p.m. and everyone was hungry so instead of having six adults and five kids at each others throats for that waiting time we went to Red Robin and decided to have Micheal's bash there instead. While waiting in the lobby to be seated Heidi thought it would be nice to get a picture with a mock Statue of Liberty so here's the best of those

Kathie and I were talking of Battlestar Galactia the newer one that I posted about a few weeks back, over the late spring of this year she watched the series and yet when I had asked her had she seen the Miniseries which was BSG comparison (pt.2) for if you go looking for it, she thought I meant CAPRICA which is set before Battlestar Galactia yet made after this new series had ran it's course. I said "No NOT that I mean did you see the Miniseries before the series?" she still had a quizzical look in her face but seemed intrigued to want to know more! I said "I will lend it to you sometime if you want..." she said said "I will try and find it on Net Flicks first though before you go through that trouble" To say everyone had fun tonight would be a great understatement
,look at all those smiling faces. I mean everyone had a good meal me too by the way I snuck a little on my own low sodium with a "Crispy Chicken burger and fries" with one glass of Dr. Pepper. A rare treat for me nowadays. I know that Micheal didn't mind sharing his birthday ice cream sundae with Heidi or Cannon for sure and they were just happy with getting a balloon before leaving for sure.

HAPPY DECEMBER 1st ALL,
Well besides showing you all what both plates for the month of November were which you know I will without a doubt do before this is all said and done, I wanna share my overdue day in shorts with you. First I got up and got ready for a appointment with my neurologist at six thirty when it was set for at eight this morning. Once there I said that since I'd seen him last everything was going well. I then went and sign my new lease for next year on my pad at a little after ten this morning. Then I went to work I was just so darn jived about what was coming up after work, I forgot to take my lunch break at two to two thirty. So what may pray tell your asking yourself about could Matt be so excited about that he missed his lunch altogether? At Seven p.m. tonight I'm taking part of speaking about affordable housing for people with disabilities over in north Richland's WSU campus. I can say I was only a little afraid if at all of speaking in front of one hundred people in support a new property being built in Kennewick Washington funded by Division of Developmental Disabilities for Modern Living Services building funds I was honored even though I was sure I could speak from the point of being a receiver of such resources myself. To boaster my steadiness I just got to thinking what is my character Jonathan Ryder from my "Clone of Me" story focusing on in his sayings in the next chapter, now I sure as heck didn't start talking about cloning people, but I'm sure that you do get my drift. Now as to what my swinging backdrop here was, I will get to in a moment but here is what I happen to of had on my desktop. Hello out there,
Well it should be arriving today that "S" related thing I was mentioning on Saturday. I can't seem to hold back my excitement for it either as you can tell with all those movies I watched or at least tried to I was really sleepy for most the time of writing that post later in the evening and waiting till then to eat something as well. Yet here is something very interesting I remembered from the Special Features of "SUPERMAN DOOMSDAY" DVD that will hopefully help me hold off on the waiting period till it arrives.... This is called "SUPERMAN'S LAST STAND" You are of course the man of steel and your fighting DOOMSDAY with your DVD remote. It has cut scenes from the feature as you play this it tells you at the start of each level (hopefully there are just one more after this
one) So far I have been able to figure out how to handle the smack down in level one which takes place right in the center of Metropolis with the killing machine.

Now let me tell you it takes DOOMSDAY only two swats at you and your much like this

Well all I can say is I hope that we are all Thankful today for something that brings a little or a huge amount of joy to not only our taste buds, but also our souls in wanting to help out in someway or other. (Shouldn't WE ALL FEEL THAT WAY ALL THE TIME), I started my day as I almost always do with watching a very famous BIG city Parade ( Hmm, I wonder which BIG city it was....) yeah I saw the Macy's Day Parade. Hey there,
I have had something on my thoughts for the past few weeks and I guess truly it's because well there just isn't one..... ?, What am I talking about your all asking while probably shaking your heads as you read these very words that I Matt am typing out. Well without making a long overdrawn tale I have always wondered we have songs for the holidays mostly Christmas ones to bring out the joy in us all around the season of giving. Or why is it that we also but not as much have Halloween themed songs like the" Monster Mash" to give us a wee bit of fright or scares leading up to that last day of October (better known as major pay day time coming soon for dentists....), yet in truth there maybe one if even that of a hymn or a song for the day we give "Thanks" for everything we have had a chance to do in helping those around us even if they aren't our real families, so I been having a little ditty spinning around in my head as I was saying at the beginning of this called "GOBBLE, GOBBLE, NO MEAL AM I FOR YOU" as you can see I'm looking out for the birds we consume tomorrow. Now I don't have much in the way of a lyric or a genuine message to be said I can only see something like

Hello there,
So you all know that I like to joke here from time to time, yet I had happen to of had a couple of other titles for this very entry, they were this "where's your own Spider-Man type of mask for today?" or "Walking into a webbed what?'. Yes as you can guess I know without a doubt none you even thought that I was talking about wearing a corn cob over your head and having all of the kennels sticking all over one's face! or was I? No in truth I want to talk about that very strange mishap of us as humans minding our own business and without knowing it out of nowhere we seem to find a sticky substance on our faces because we have walked right into a spider making their web to catch their prey. What I find most amazing about this happenstance is I can see it being a normal occurrence inside of any structure like our homes or work places and for kids reading this your work place is a place that starts with the letter "S". I also know many people fear those crawly things with a passion as much as appreciating them for eating whatever has two wings: with that being said I still find it a constant oddity when we somehow or other are outside doing work and we feel a cobweb on our face yet we can't see anywhere that the invisible strand is? yet at the same time, there are no trees around or other such areas where we can see with the naked eye or even a one of us wearing glasses......a place where the web was?, It maybe wise to note that trying to avoid a weaved web is always impossible to do even if you think you know where one is like in a cave for example? I had happen to be thinking of this not because there is a answer, because I don't think one would have a way of existing, but because over the last few months or so I have walked up to get some carts outside and find myself reaching to my forehead to pull off such a web mask and still ponder "How did I do that?"

Being a kid again would most certainly be fun at many times of the year for sure one great example would be of course Christmas morning being the best of all. Well it still is a few weeks before that said holiday for we still haven't even embarked on "Turkey Day" (which happens to be this upcoming Thursday by the way). I'm still trying to figure out the "Snow thing" if you can believe it? Still being a adult kid is very fun as well especially for me when last night as I was about to leave the comic shop "Adventures Underground" I saw this very rare and if you can believe it unknown to me as well a nineteen eighties
Toy Box. Yes I know I talk about HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE , quite often here I only wish that I could find a place to put it....(if I were to get it?) or some little boy who happens to have a mix of those toys and the newer ones from the early part of two thousand to two thousand and two. For sure I know someone would want it who now has kids that loved the toy line of yo long ago......

Brr it now seems as if Winter is upon us,
Today I was getting ready for going to my Men Breakfast at Cathedral of Joy my home church that I go to from time to time. (Here's a example of how often I go for the breakfasts I usually go for a good four months out of the year consecutively, then I'll go for something like five or six weeks without going, still it's better than how often I attempt to attend church on any given Sunday. For that I have say I let there be a twelve week span of time before I'm show my face again if even that?, Please don't get me wrong I love the main connection of the function of any church which I hope WE ALL KNOW IS having time closer to our creator, GOD) So sorry didn't mean to share my whole soap box text of church, especially when this entry is really about our second time this year of the "WHITE STUFF"

Today's number is fifty even. What are you counting your asking right?, well today after I had brought in my third round of grocery carts my boss Kelsey came up to me and said "Hey Matt I want to talk with you for a moment do you mind?" For a brief second I was sure I was in some trouble for something I had done earlier today for some reason, so I said "Sure where do you want to go I had asked. I saw that we were on the outskirts of the bread aisle, which is adjacent to both the Bakery and the Produce departments. Kelsey had ask me "If I wouldn't mind handling a card program directed at kids since everyone knows how you are around kid I think you'd be prefect for this..." I was now excited because for sure everyone knows how I am around kids at the store anyway. I had her tell me more about this card program, she showed me this card that in the left corner it says Kids Club and on the right size of the card it had a small set of pictures of a group of Bananas and behind it a couple of Apples. Kelsey told me that this new program was meant to get kids a option over a cookie and that she wanted me to be the designated courtesy clerk to hand out to every kid I know. She gave me fifty cards, as soon as I handed out my first four I started to keep track of how many I had left. A couple of hours before I left to head home I had handed all of them out and I felt like I was finally in a right environment for myself in charge of a simple project that will have great benefits because here is how the card works, the child signs their name on the front of the card and gets one of either fruit on the card for FREE just by handing it to the cashier and the cashier scans it after weighting the fruit of the child's choice and hands them or in the case of them being with a parent hand it back to them. The coolest thing about this card is it won't go and expire till mid August of next year. So if you happen to have any kids and visit your local Albertson's or Super Vale in some parts of the united states just ask your bagger or courtesy clerk for a KIDS CLUB card and see what happens.....besides a cookie maybe tastier than a Apple or a Banana but think of this at that said moment, fruit will give you more energy than a sugar rush which is what you only get from a cookie anyway, yet in the end I know the choice is yours kiddo......

Cylon Dreamers,
It seems that Glenn Larson creator of the original BSG from the late nineteen seventies and early nineteen eighties (see part 1 for insider info.) has finally been able to truly win over fans of classic sci-fi geeks and reinvigorate his story of man vs machine. How is that your wanting to know, huh? Well after seeing the vast improvements of the last two decades on the two other BIG NAMED sci-fi sagas and I don't think there true identities need mentioning well ok, maybe a couple or so pics may help: ,
or maybe not?, maybe much like TNG and even a whole lot more so from DS-9 it
was the structured storytelling that got Larson thinking once again about his machines known as the Cylons. In the Winter of two thousand and three on December eight and ninth a new re imaged pilot called BATTLE STAR GALACTICA aired as a three hour miniseries
. It was during time when my eldest niece Portia was as I talked about here quite a lot had a childhood form of Cancer, that she was dealing with over that year and finally had beaten it in the late spring of two thousand four. After her recovery we visited her and her family and at the Mall of America I happen to pick up the DVD cover shown above, watched the whole thing in one sitting on the AMTRAK ride from Minnesota to Washington state, I gotta say I'm not sure if before posting (comparison pt.1) if I truly recall much of the original BSG outside of seeing it maybe once or twice when visiting my aunt Mary Anne and her family in the summer of nineteen ninety two, while visiting the whole side of the Powers side of my mother's side of the family. Anyway (I seem to be, "reminiscing more than I should" when this is about, Battle Star Galactica the miniseries) The story of this new Galactica is by a Star Trek writing vet named Ronald D. Moore and Christpher Eric James based on a teleplay by Larson. This take on the universe of B.S.G. was immensely more fleshed out than Larson's original from nineteen seventy eight and the series which followed in that a good lot of story points were changed to fit equality of the world as it is now. The main thing that comes to pass in the miniseries, (that we were really came close to in two thousand and eight was having a madame President in Hilliary Clinton) as leader of the free world. It also took original character's like Dirk Benedict's StarBuck character
and made it a female as well. Now as to the central foes of man in this space tale are "no longer just robotic toasters" as Baltar claims the Cylons happen to now have twelve other models and apparently the sixth is
in his head and causing chaos aboard Galactica as well as tormenting him as well. I am sure that there are many surprises awaiting me in both takes of BSG of new and old alike, and like many who like one over the other, for this nerd known as Matt I too make love one over the other but I won't ever forget that the whole like anything is best!

Galactica fans,

Hey to you Sci-Fi nerds or regular tuner inner of this site, Today is going blow you all away for sure.....because if you all recall back at the beginning of this year I said I was eventually gonna compare a Sci-Fi saga way back in mid January. Still don't recall it in any way do ya?, well here is a sight hint as to what it is NOT! "A LONG TIME AGO, IN GALAXY FAR, FAR, AWAY...." nor is it this "WE'RE OFF TO OUTER SPACE TO SAVE MOTHER EARTH, FROM A EVIL RACE...." and for sure it's not "SPACE THE FINAL FRONTIER, THESE ARE THE VOYAGES OF THE STARSHIP ENTERPRISE...." so from these famous openings of other science fiction classics you for sure know that whatever I'm speaking of is right around these series in when it aired originally. Yet many of you may still not recognize that this classic that I'm talking about came from the same fellow who in the mid nineteen eighties came up with a series with this
, rather sleek talking car to rival those two county boys who drove this
. His name is Glenn Larson and like Roddenberry who created the (BLUE TEXT) or even the fellow known as the (GREEN TEXT) Lucas, Glenn was wanting to make a science fiction piece more in line of the (RED ORANGE TEXT) anime called Star Blazers. The upcoming series would incorporate a feeling of Star Wars as well of exploration like Star Trek. The enemy was a race known as the Cylons a machine race built in part by a human known as Baltar, who hopes to free his own world out of the twelve colonies that plan to be taken over by the Cylons. In this version of BATTLESTAR GALATICA, which I have been trying to watch since Sunday, it was only because (of being so tired) I had to write about it now, here is what my DVD cover looks

like. Also because for the longest while I only had the new BSG series (more on that tomorrow), this one starred Loren Greene who starred in Bonanza as the father figure in that series well. Here he's Adama the main human in charge of the very last Colonies greatest space vessel known as Galactica . What is really neat about this Galactica series was in how easily one could compare the heroes to the Star Wars characters in a way, but if you were to look at a Colonial viper from the series, here is one

, look if you will at the basic design and also think back to (Lucas design) of the small rebel planes known as X-wings
,you would think did Larson just pick up the models parts that (Lucas threw away) . I truly think not but you never know? The series was famous like (Star Trek) in that it was not only in exploration it had multicultural races in key positions on the ship. One part of this Galactica that harkens back to Star Blazers that I see is when they are trying avoid a group of Cylon raiders here what those looked like
in a energy field in the Madagon system on their way to planet Carillon reminds me of when (Wildstar) is trying to find out the length of a solar channel in a part of space known as the Octo star cluster, which has been holding the Yamato/Argo for three weeks time. Another thing about this series is the fellow who played the Starbuck character went on to play the character of "FACE" in Universal's THE A-TEAM. This had a a lot of other great people in it as well like future (Star Wars: visual supervisor John Dykstra) here as a model maker and future (Star Trek director Winrch Kolbe) at least I'm pretty sure that he was something on this feature but what I can't remember for the moment. It also had a major star before her greatest film roles Jane Seymour as colonialist Serina on a major world in the Galactica universe, of course a very unknown future musician named Rick Springfield played Adama's other son Zac. Yet in all honestly I have to say comparing this older version of Galactica is truly hard for me, since I only happen to have right now this pilot to base the whole of the older series on is rather unfair I'm thinking?

Well if not take a gander to the right of this very posting, that's right something new is here right above the popular posts listings see it will always have the same title and captions yet everyday till I have heard that Marvel comics has re instilled the Spider-Marriage between Peter Parker and the woman seen here

,known as Mary Jane his beloved wife, will be changed even if no new posts are added. You ALL must know how I have had a dimmed view of the character since the summer of two thousand and seven. That was when Marvel's then E.I.C. (Editor in Chief: Joe Quesada) put into the Spider-Man bible of the character this

,where he sold his marriage to Marvel's equivalent of the devil known as Mephisto

,which still till this day makes true fans of the character mighty P.O. for WE KNOW that the character of either of them "WOULD EVER DO THIS THING.....EVER!" Sorry for dwelling on a storyline that makes me angry at the one character of all comics that I have loved since childhood. Hey by the way, did you noticed the daily strip up above happens to be by a comic artist by the name of Alex Saviuk which happen to do the daily Sunday strips of this feature whatever had happen to Stan Lee's brother Larry who normally does the dailies for the strip must be on vacation I'm hoping anyway for he has been doing the strip since sometime in nineteen eighty one (I won't tell you when since I happen to write of the older strips here as well, you'll just have to wait see when he started....) as for how far back does Mr. Saviuk's work on spidey go here are a few comic covers , ,,

Hello all,
Now I am not sure if there truly is a logical answer to this one. All I really do know is there maybe are a lot of people out there that find these rare dates of when the month, day, and finally the year lining up a bit of everything from surprising to down right scary or maybe even a little laughable at times, but for me I think of it as a mind bending puzzle. Please let me explain or at least try to in a way of what I mean by this: I know and partly BELIEVE, WE ALL as the little humans that we are all have different ways of looking at the outside world AROUND US. We all know we can be whatever we wish to be by how we perceive our own course of actions in the role of life, say you want to be a singer you have to practice at controlling your voice. If you want to be a banker it's good that you study numbers in any way that you can: You get my drift of what I'm saying about being yourself, well wouldn't you think in a odd way why is it I recall that date so specially of when I first learn of picking up a piece paper and drawing a line and making a little something from it, weather it be a face or your pet you love so much. There are also like I said some who fear days like this and yet they don't know why they do other than it's part of how they perceive the results of their actions now, how to explain how a human can laugh at today truly I guess it is in the eye of the beholder. I think and know for certain that rare dates such as these probably didn't matter to humans of the past as they do you or I? I do know that a lot of of people will have marriages or a birth today of a child if they can mange it or even sadly a passing of a life of a loved one, still the one thing I see about these odd dates is they play into life as any other date and still things happen and things go on as normal the next day. There is one thing I have to add in all of this that will make you laugh for sure, that is we will never ever reach a date of this that I know of 99/99/99 why you asking right well one simple answer is we don't have that many months in any given year" I hope that brought a big smile to you just now!

Finally getting to see the four people I've wanted to see in one day

Hello again to all,
Boy it has finally has happen after all of my time of working at Albertson's. I 'm rather super surprised that it finally did happen, but especially pleased that it finally did and it sure as heck couldn't of had happen to a nicer fellow. What the Sam heck am I talking about your all wondering huh? well here is one little clue GOD has always wanted this to occur for me and I can't be ANY happier for I just didn't know when it was gonna happen, just that it would! Okay enough with all of the riddles (boy in someway I do feel like that character of Bat Man's arch nemesis know as the Riddler don't know why, maybe it's because I just can't put it in a pun, but want to ol so badly I wanna) Today I had happen to run into all four of my closest Religious friends that come shopping at the store and the is ONE THING that is really cool about it all .I will get to that in a moment but here is who these four are by name: Carla Legg, June Bullent, Jean Emler, and Marty Armstrong. Now Jean and Marty know each other, because like me they go to Cathedral of Joy where I sometimes attend church and from time to time my Men Breakfast is there on Saturday mornings. Marty though now attends a whole other church, but I'm A-Okay with that as long as she is happy of with it. I have ALWAYS WILL LOVE these four women as close as I do my own family. And why is that because GOD tells us too yes of course and that's the main reason, but to me I have a whole other reason why I love them and here's why, Each makes ME see GOD in a bigger way than I alone see HIM and makes ME see especially if I'm ever down that there is always something worth reaching for no matter what and always after talking with each of them I come away smiling not just outside where all can see , but inside where I know GOD knows my heartfelt soul of whatever and knows just how to make me a broken vessel all the more richer. So the ONE other thing I was trying to bring up earlier is that they may not know how they know each other expect as I said with Marty and Jean that ONE thing is they all know a kind soul by knowing me.

Hey Spacer fans,
I can not believe that even though I have talked so much about Gene Roddenberry's most worldwide known si-fi phenom

called Trek"in every conceivable way, (with many more to be fourth coming, oh for sure..) I have often over looked many of the man's other TV related science fiction projects that for the most part I have only ever heard of in the last few years or so. Starting today I'm willing to bet in some fashion or other I will come to want to see his series known as . In truth I am rather super surprised that I haven't brought this up before, not because I like Roddenberry's outlook on viewing the human race overcoming many things like his message in STAR TREK is all meant to be...., but with this EARTH FINAL CONFLICT series which I have only seen the pilot only sometime ago last year, I want to step into new expressions of the creator of Trek and see what his take on a invasion of our planet is like outside of television other main series like "V" or the ever classic story from H.G. Wells a little thing called " War of the worlds" type of story telling was like without it's creator. Would this had been his aspect of DS-9?, I know we will never really know, but isn't fun to speculate at even if it's just a little answer. I'm not sure when but I will give this one a try again real soon to see if I want the rest of it the series as a whole ran for a hundred and ten episodes so something must have been great about it?

Hey there,
Let me ask you something have you ever thought of the very last time you have used your imagination of when you were a little person known as a kid?, I had happen to met a little girl today that gives me hope that as adults we can learn to open our minds as any little tyke does. As I was bagging her mother's groceries she was telling me about her imaginary pet I looked at the mom that just was going and looking through her coupons as she was also listening to her child and yet she had her eyes light up for I think she was so surprised that her little one was talking to a stranger that she didn't know. Anyway I asked the little girl did she have a pet? she said "I, yes, an I have a imaginary one.." What is it I asked she said "it is a parrot" I was very interested because I couldn't for the life of me recall when I was last day dreaming like she was. She told me he flies everywhere in their car and is sitting on my hand pecking my finger as I was helping them. I then asked her well what does this Parrot eat she sad soda pop and candy, also he eats streaks as well" and I was already starting to smile just a little and then she added he drinks shampoo and eats soap as well...." I looked back the mother who gave me a slight smile after lightly tapping her palm to her forehead saying "silly girl". Yet after they left it got me to thinking, "Why is it as adults we in someway Small or mostly Largely we all tend to over look a child's whether they are our own or not as something very special in all that she or he does to entertain themselves and others with youthful innocence of what we lack not because we want to of something called imagination of the heart!"

Hello to all,
You never really can move on in a way of looking at life after someone you are related to has passed on. Last night into the wee hours of today I couldn't find a easy way to put at ease to my thoughts on the man who brought me Raymond Matthew Byrd into the world with the help of a young lady named Nancy Powers Byrd (Watson, now is her last name), my father was Micheal Joe Byrd. Over this past year I have been strong as one can be at recalling all the good things dad had done in his long but short time here on this place called earth. Some I have wrote about that are still in writing stages but I guess that's understandable right?, When I try to think of my dad now I really do see that he had it hard walk in understanding things like religion and how to truly understand the meaning of love even though he did as I have said before HIS best with how he did understanding it. The one thing I wish I could have asked him on a one on one was "How did you get along with my grandfather (his dad) named Raymond, from his own words even if they would have been like I suspect a son waiting to know of love from his father being lost thoughts of a time that he wished was better memories at least I would have had a way of looking at my own name sake with hope, (one day I will share what I know of my own thoughts on Raymond sometime...)" All I really know is I just feel so outta place today yet I will always remember why which is sadden with at least wanting to know a man

,I knew as my dad all the more now that he has passed on.
